At this point, Lucian’s face darkened, “Get out!”
Allison paled.

She clenched her teeth and her forehead beaded with sweat, “Mr. Lindberg, I really can’t afford to lose any more credits. If I do, I’ll have to delay my graduation. I…”
Seeing Lucian’s cold and uncompromising demeanor, Allison became anxious. Plus, she was out of breath from running; she felt her vision blur and was about to faint. When she came to, she found herself in Lucian’s arms.
He pinched her waist hard, “Throwing yourself at me? Trying to tempt me? Allison, you’re making me sick.”
“I didn’t.” Allison struggled, but the man’s arms were as hard as iron. She was trapped in a strange yet familiar embrace, seeing nothing but coldness and disgust in the man’s eyes.
“Didn’t you?” Lucian leaned in closer, his mocking voice near her ear, “Who was it then, who drugged me that night, got into my bed, laid under me, and moaned my name?” Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.
Allison turned even paler.
She only had fragments of memory from that night, and in her confusion, she forgot who she was.
She was just Penelope’s stand–in.
Seeing the innocent look in her eyes, Lucian felt a wave of annoyance in his chest. She had deceived him with this pitiful act.
Ever since she first saw him at the Flanagan family’s house as a maid who got a distinguished guest’s clothes wet, she avoided him deliberately to draw his attention every time they met. Who would believe it wasn’t intentional?
What pissed him off even more was that he found himself longing for her, despite trying so hard not to think about her. He subconsciously saw her in Penelope.
Even he himself was confused if he had been treating Penelope as a substitute for Allison these past few days.
“There’s a misunderstanding, Mr. Lindberg, there really is!” Allison’s lips moved, but she couldn’t explain. She turned her face away, avoiding his icy gaze.
The man forced her to look at him, grabbing her face tightly, “Misunderstanding? The misunderstanding is that you are taking advantage of your resemblance to Penelope and deliberately impersonating my fiancée. You’re just a lowly maid; did you ever ask yourself, are you worthy? Even if you try to imitate Penelope, you’re not her; you can’t even compare to a single hair of hers.”
Allison turned pale.
Hearing these words from this man hurt her deeply.
Seeing her about to cry, Lucian felt a sting in his heart.
His body reacted before his brain and he uncontrollably kissed Allison. The familiar and sweet scent almost made him lose himself.
But seeing the face so similar to Penelope’s in front of him, he suddenly sobered up and let go of her abruptly.
He sneered, taking out a tissue to wipe his mouth, his voice full of mockery, “Do you see now? You make me want to puke! Touching you makes me feel dirty! Get lost!”
