The Billionaire’s Maid Bride

Chapter 153

Chapter 153

Lucian scooped her up and strode forward. When he reached the entrance, he told James, “Take care of these folks for me, will ya?”

“Got it”

James glanced at Randal sprawled out on the ground, his pain so severe he’d passed out like a fat pig. He gave him a kick and muttered, “What on earth possessed

you to cross Lucian?”

At the hospital, the doctor urgently treated Allison’s forehead wound, then turned to the grim man and said, “She’s not too badly hurt. Her wound has been stitched up and she needs to rest. She should wake up by tomorrow.”

“Sir, your back wound…” The nurse was cleaning her suturing tools when she noticed the blood seeping through Lucian’s silver–grey shirt.

Lucian seemed unfazed by the pain.

“Let me treat that for you. The nurse offered.

The wound on Lucian’s back wasn’t long, but it was deep. The nurse suggested an antibiotic shot. All the while, Lucian’s gaze remained on the hospital bed.

Allison looked pale. Her small face was obscured by a large bandage

Lucian wasn’t sure what he was feeling. Was he angry? Hell yes. The sight of that jerk trying to hurt Allison made him want to kill the guy on the spot.

Why was he so mad? Lucian clenched his lips, his emotions becoming clearer. He was starting to care about Allison.

“No.. no…”

Lucian closed his eyes to rest, only to be awakened by a woman’s whisper. It was the middle of the night.

Allison seemed to be caught in a dream; her face was pale and sweaty “No, don’t…

“Wake up, Allison. Open your eyes!”

Suddenly, a deep voice shattered her dream, like a path appearing through the fog.

Allison opened her eyes. Her gaze fell on the man’s face. “Lucian…” She murmured, her lips pale and trembling.

Her eyelashes quivered. “It’s really you…”

She’d had a long dream, and at the end of it, she saw a bright light and Lucian coming towards her

Lucian smirked. “Who else did you expect? Your old flame, Dr. Dylan?”

Allison propped herself up on the bed, trying to sit up.

She leaned back against the headboard. “How did you get here?”

“Didn’t you call me?”

Allison’s lips moved. In her confusion, she had called Lucian. Regardless, she said sincerely, “Mr. Lindberg, thank you.”

Her lips curled into a small smile, like the moonlight reflecting off water, which cast a soft glow.

Lucian was taken aback. Thank me? That requires sincerity.”

Allison seemed not to hear him. I feel dizzy and tired…

With that, she curled up under the covers like a cat and closed her eyes. C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.

“Mr. Lindberg, goodnight.”

Lucian’s lips twitched into a smile.

Goodnight?

He sat down in the chair, closing his eyes. The air was filled with the sweet scent of a woman. He figured it was better than any calming incense.
