Chapter 136
Chapter 136
“Met Allison didn’t really like the idea. Sarah warned Allison, “You don’t want to cross this guy”
Allison got the gist. She didn’t want to stir up trouble for Sarah because of her
Sarah then asked. “What’s your deal with Mr. Lindbergh?”
Alison didn’t beat around the bush “He’s my lady’s fiance”
“Your lady’s fance? Sarah questioned.
“My mom’s a maid for the Flanagan family. I help out often, and Mr. Lindbergh is my lady’s fiance. That’s the long and short of it,” Allison explained.
Sarah nodded, watching Allison leave with a smirk. She figured there was something fishy about Mr. Lindbergh’s treatment of Allison. It didn’t seem like a run–of–the–mill
When Alison arrived at box 309, it was empty, with only a cleaner tidying up. Seeing Allison, they quickly said, “Allison, the gentleman said to meet him in the parking lot.” Lucian’s car was a cinch to spot, with a unique Lindbergh family emblem on the license plate. Allison had a hunch about which car Lucian usually drove, so as soon as she exted the elevator she spotted his car. She walked over and knocked on the window “Mr. Lindbergh”
There was no response from inside Allison opened the car door to find Lucian lying on the back seat, his eyes half–closed, seemingly resting.
Allison took the driver’s seat. She’d driven this car of Lucian’s three times before. He seemed rather fond of it, unlike other rich kids who frequently switched sports cars. She’d been to his garage, filled with luxury cars, but this was the one he drove most often.
“Mr. Lindbergh, are we headed to the Lindbergh family home or Magnolia Gardens?”
There was no response from the back. Allison muttered to herself, “Guess we’re going to the Lindbergh family home then.”
It was the closest
Just as the car started a deep voice came from the back seat: “Magnolia Gardens.”
The black luxury car drove out of the garage as a light rain started to fall.
The rain grew heavier, and Allison reduced her speed, keeping an eye on the road. There weren’t many cars on the road in the rain, especially at 11 p.m., with hardly any
pedestrians around
After driving for over an hour, Allison slowly drove into Magnolia Gardens.
The security guard let her through without a second glance, apparently considering her Lucian’s assistant or secretary.
She had free rein to come and go from Magnolia Gardens.
Each visit, Allison was awestruck by the exquisite architecture. This content belongs to Nô/velDra/ma.Org .
“Mr. Lindbergh, we’re at Magnolia Gardens”
Lucian opened his eyes and said, “Help me up.”
“Shall I call a guard?”
The man smirked, his tone teasing. “Scared of me? You weren’t like this when you were seducing Kelvin.”
Allison paled. Her cheek was still red and swollen. The man reached out, and her seat suddenly reclined sharply. Losing her balance, she fell backward.
The next moment, her chin was gripped by the man. Inside the car, she was pinned under him, Lucian’s fingers tightly holding her chin, lifting it up. “Don’t you have any self–respect? Any guy will do, huh? Dr. Dylan isn’t enough for you? You’re even seducing Kelvin.”
Lucian didn’t know what came over him. A surge of anger welled up in his chest. He stared at her swollen cheek, and suddenly he noticed the pair of hexagram earrings on
her earlobe
They weren’t the pair she wore before
