The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing

Chapter 13 Moving into the Apartment

The apartment had three bedrooms and two living rooms. The living room was pretty spacious, and the decor was super simple. Alexander definitely had good taste. At least the style was something Allison liked. The place had always been empty. It looked clean, but it felt lifeless. Besides the furniture and appliances, there were no living supplies.

"Clean up a bit, and I'll take you downstairs to buy some stuff!" Alexander said.

Allison wanted to say no, but since it was Alexander's place and he was being nice, she didn't argue.

They headed to the nearby supermarket just outside their community. Allison wasn't picky about living supplies, but she didn't even get a chance to choose; Alexander picked everything.

And it seemed like Alexander's rule for buying stuff was simple: go for the expensive ones.

"Actually, this one will do," Allison said, holding a toothbrush.

"No, the quality is too poor!" Alexander replied. Allison gave up and just waited at the checkout counter.

She was curious about how Alexander knew so much about things girls use. She thought, 'He probably has a girlfriend.' But a guy with a girlfriend acting like this with her seemed even more inappropriate. While Allison was lost in thought, a shopping cart bumped into her. She frowned and turned to see a familiar face.

"Allison, what are you doing here?" Sophia looked at her like she'd seen a ghost. Allison couldn't be bothered to respond.

"Don't tell me you live here, Allison. This is Oceanview Apartments. People who live here are either rich or noble, not someone like you. Did you mess around with some guy so quickly?" Sophia sneered. Allison looked at Sophia like she was a clown, which instantly made Sophia angry.

The boy next to Sophia couldn't take his eyes off Allison. "Sophia, is this your classmate? She's pretty!"

Hearing this, Sophia got even angrier. How dare Allison try to seduce her boyfriend? She rushed over and slapped Allison across the face. "You bitch, how dare you seduce my boyfriend!"

To Allison, this was completely unprovoked, so she grabbed Sophia's wrist and pushed her away.

Allison glanced at Sophia's so-called boyfriend. Seeing Allison look over, the guy puffed out his chest, trying to show off.

Allison said, "A guy like this isn't even fit to tie my shoes! If I were you, I'd leave quickly to avoid embarrassing myself!"

Sophia's face turned pale and then red with anger.

Everett Stevens, Sophia's boyfriend, also looked furious. "Bitch, who do you think you are? How dare you look down on me?" he snapped. Allison raised an eyebrow, looking at Everett with disdain.

Everett was furious and reached out to grab Allison, but she kicked him to the ground. "Get lost, don't make me say it a second time!"

Sophia knew how tough Allison could be, so she quickly pulled her boyfriend away. As they left, Everett looked back at Allison with intense hatred. He wouldn't give up on such a beauty easily; he would make her beg for him.

But before he could retract his gaze, he felt a strong, aggressive look directed at him. Everett looked over and saw Alexander's dark face and intense hostility. Although Everett was unwilling, he still left with Sophia, saying, "You better make it up to me tonight, okay?"

Sophia blushed and said, "Everett, whatever you want, I'm up for it!"

Everett smirked. He never turned down women who threw themselves at him.

Alexander walked up to the checkout counter, put down the items, and looked at Allison. "Who were those two?"

"My classmate and her boyfriend."

Alexander nodded. "They're bad news. Stay away from them."

Allison looked at Alexander, wondering why he sounded so paternal. Who did he think he was?

Alexander added, "I'm just looking out for you. You're still young, and I worry you might not see people for who they really are."

"Thanks, Mr. Carter!" Allison said as she reached for her wallet to pay, but Alexander had already taken care of it. They left the supermarket together.

When they got back to the apartment, it was already past eleven. Alexander didn't stick around long, just reminded Allison to rest early and lock up, then he left.

Allison grabbed her pajamas and took a shower. After drying her hair and lying on the bed, she checked her phone.

She found a friend request on Facebook. The profile picture was a night sky, and the username was Alexander.

Allison hesitated for a moment but accepted.

Soon, a message popped up with a phone number.

Alexander: [This is my contact number. Call me if you need anything.]

Allison wanted to say it wasn't necessary; she wasn't Mia and could handle things on her own. But since it was Alexander's goodwill, she didn't want to refuse. Allison: [Okay!]

Allison's profile picture was a cartoon doll. Alexander looked at it and felt a softness in his heart. It was clearly a cartoon version of Allison. He saved the picture with a click.

Before going to bed, Allison called Jonah. At this time, Hayden was already asleep, so Allison told Jonah that she had found a place to stay and would visit the Bennett Villa to see her grandfather over the weekend when school was off. Jonah was a bit worried and asked Allison a lot of questions. When he learned she was staying at Oceanview Apartments, he felt relieved.

Except for Hayden, Allison hadn't received any calls from other members of the Bennett Family since she returned. She hadn't even seen her father. Allison smiled bitterly. She had a family, but she still felt like an outsider.

The next morning, Allison got up early and went to school. Since she had just arrived the night before and wasn't familiar with the area, she got up half an hour earlier to explore the route.

Fortunately, the community was very quiet. Stepping out led to a main road, and it was only a ten-minute walk to school. It was indeed very convenient.novelbin

However, Allison didn't notice a pair of resentful eyes following her. Everett didn't expect to see Allison early in the morning on his way home. Seeing Allison in her school uniform, looking youthful and beautiful, made his heart itch. Although he had just had sex with Sophia last night, and it was Sophia's first time, in Everett's eyes, Allison was his real prey.

Allison was walking when someone suddenly appeared in front of her, blocking her way.

"Hello, Ms. Bennett. I didn't expect to see you here. Do you also live here?" Everett's lecherous eyes roamed over Allison, making her face turn cold. "Do we know each other?" Allison didn't think this man approaching her would bring any good, especially since he was Sophia's boyfriend.

Everett said, "Let me introduce myself. I'm Everett Stevens, the general manager of the Stevens Group. Do you think we could be friends, Ms. Bennett?"
