The Billionaire Contracted Wife

TWENTY TWO

A week had past before my confrontation with my parents, and after that day Cayne didn’t talk or ask a single thing about them to me. I think he already understand that I’m not yet okay about the situation.

“There’s so much to do,” Monique, Cayne mother said in a high panicky voice. She was currently running in all directions, trying to get everything perfect.

Christmas is approaching fast and Monique was out of her mind decorating every inch of the mansion. She wanted everything to be perfect.

“Mom, maybe you should rest a bit,” Cayne spoke up, looking worried.

“No, no, no,” she snapped in agitation, unpacking a box of decorations. “I don’t have much time. Christmas is here before we knew it. And I’m so late.” She grumbled to herself.

“Do you need help?” I ask softly.

She looked at me and grinned.© NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

“No, I’m fine. Go play with Cayne.” She shooed me away.

My cheeks grew warm as I thought of how dirty it sounded. And Cayne seemed to sense my thought like he always did and wiggled his eyebrows mischievously, his grin wicked.

“Yeah, come play with me, Raszhiel,” he said suggestively.

I rolled my eyes as I walked over to him. He grabbed my hand immediately, and kissed the palm of my hand tenderly. He never even broke an eye contact.

My heart raced fast as he led me towards the staircase, trying to lead me upstairs. We hadn’t had sex yet and I guess Cayne was patiently waiting for it to happened, but things between us were very intense. And I didn’t know if how much longer I could hold out.

We were stopped in our tracks when one of the maids called us. Cayne groaned in frustration and faced the maid.

“What? You better have a good reason for interrupting.” I giggled and soflty pinched his hand.

“I’m sorry to interrupt you sir but you have a guest waiting in the living room.” Cayne arched an eyebrow.

“A guess? I’m not expecting anyone to come.” Cayne answered.

“Maybe it’s my boss? Or your secretary?”

He just nodded and we headed to the living room. When we got there, a man standing facing the other side of the room.

“Good afternoon, how may I help you?” Cayne asked.

The man then faced us and to my shocked I dropped my hand that clings from Cayne’s arms. My mouth gaped. I can’t believe it.

I can’t forget this man. Because even though he cheated on me when we’re together for almost three years I must admit that I loved him.

His eyes flickered to Cayne, and to me and back again, then he smiled.

“It’s been a long time, Kenny.” He smiled widely to me.

Cayne is just looking at us, confuse of what’s happening.

“What are you doing here?” I asked when I got back to my senses.

“Who’s he?” Cayne ask in confusion.

“Oh, my bad! I’m sorry for being rude and did not introduced myself first. I’m Ethan, Ethan Travos. Kenny’s ex-boyfriend.” He introduces himself with a grinned and held a hand to have a handshake with Cayne.

But Cayne just arched an eyebrow and doesn’t seem to reach out for a handshake so I touched his back soflty. I could feel the hard muscles of his back through his thin T-shirt, I bit my lip, my heart karate kicked against my chest, trying to get free.

He deeply sighed and held out a hand.

“It’s not nice to finally meet you. I’m Cayne Shelton, her husband.” He smiled wickedly like he won the battle.

“Yeah, I heard about you from Kenny’s friend.” He nodded.

“So? What brought brought you here?” Cayne asked.

“Im here to talk to Kenny.”

“Sure, go ahead,” Cayne responded.

“Alone,” Ethan emphasized.

“No,” he answer, his voice hard.

I blinked. What the hell could he possibly wanted to talk about?

I couldn’t see Cayne’s face but I saw his back stiffen.

“Why? Don’t you trust her?” He grinned wickedly again.

Cayne hand form into a fist. I touched it absentmindedly. He turned to look at me.

“It’s okay,” I said, nodded at him reassuringly. I’ll go talk to him. Don’t worry, it’ll be over for a moment.”

Cayne frowned. He obviously didn’t like the idea, but he nodded once.

I grabbed my coat from the coat rack. After putting it on, I turned to Cayne and stretched up to the tips of my toe. I stretched my neck and he be bent down. His lips were gentle on mine, his fingers tickled my hips.

We were in that kind of position when Ethan pretended to cough to ruin our moment.

I giggled to Cayne and pulled away reluctantly.

“I’ll be back,” I promised, touching his cheeks.

Cayne nodded but glared at Ethan. I walked towards Ethan. I took a deep breath, steeling myself as I stepped out into the cold December morning.
