Chapter 1

Yazmin was 23 years of age, she had no family or relatives, she grew up in an orphanage which hated

because of the way she was treated. None of the orphans didn't like her because they would tell her

how worthless she was. Her dream was to become a maid for a very wealthy family so that she could

be paid well.

But unfortunately she was told that she could never be a maid because she was a sloppy cleaner and a

used to being bullied and beaten up. She never stood up for herself because she was too shy and

Yazmin's POV

Beep! Beep! Beep!

My alarm went off, it was so annoying why couldn't I have chosen a better sound it was a rooster

crowing. I shut it off immediately and groaned. I looked at the clock and it was 6:15 am. I was going to

be late if I didn't get up. I got up lazily from my bed and walked to the bathroom and took a shower and

brushed my teeth. I looked at the clock once more. It was 6:30. I quickly got dressed, I wore a black

button front blouse and a black pencil skirt just right above my knees and a black flat shoes. I like heels

but my job requires flats trust me.

I glanced at the clock again and it was already seven I had to get going now before I'm late and

scolded. I get the feeling that my boss doesn't like me. I work at a coffee shop just right in town in the

mall. And it's a hassle. I get off work at 6 and work at a club in the bar at 6:30 and get off at 12, yea I

don't get much time for myself I know. But it was all I could get, I get a day off on Thursdays and

Sundays and during that time I look through newspapers for any open maid spits available.

I got out of the cab and reached the mall at exactly 7:30. I hurried to the coffee and thank God it wasn't

too far from the entrance. When I entered I got my apron and put it on quickly as I put my bag down.

"Miss Barnes, late again" my boss walked up to me and said. "I know and am truly sorry, you know how

the Monday hassle is out there" I smiled trying to play it cool " yes and you know how the Monday

hassle is in here now get to work we have customers" he said with a Stern voice. I simply nodded and

walked out.

He was right when he said a hassle luckily I am a morning person. I grabbed my notepad and walked

over to a man he looked hot, like sexy hot. He seems rich and boy oh boy was he smoking handsome I

simply stood there staring. I was brought back to reality when I heard someone cleared their throat

"aren't you supposed to be taking my order" the man said in a sexy manly voice, I cleared my throat to

make sure there's no lump before I speak "um.. yes here's your menu, would u like a glass of water or

a cup of coffee before you order?" I whisper shakily.

He looked at me with a slight smile on his face and I looked down. He was so handsome I thought to

myself " black coffee please" I nodded without looking up and just turned around and left. I got the

coffee while pulling myself together then brought the coffee to his table and placed it down carefully

trying not to spill it, I turned to leave when he said i'm ready to order now. I looked at him his head was

down on the menu, then after a minute or so he finally spoke " I'll have the blueberry pancakes with

scrambled eggs and bacon, thank you" I scrambled it down in my notepad and took the menu and left.

After a few I gave him his plate and walked away not wanting to be near him anymore he was a bit

intimidating. I served more customers in the meantime and glanced his way a few times sometime I

caught him staring. Was it weird? A girl, a very pretty girl walked in and looked for a seat and sat

across from him at the same table. She gave us a smile and he smiled back. I went over and gave her

a menu and ask "would you like water or coffee until your ready to order?" "Yes, coffee please with lots

of milk, thank you" I nodded and walked away seconds later I came back with her coffee and placed it

on the table in front of her she didn't look at me, she was too busy having a conversation with the

handsome sexy rich guy... gosh he was handsome and sexy what was I thinking... I was brought back

to reality with a girl clearing her throat. That's when I realised I was staring again. I looked down

immediately " you could go now and it's rude to stare now beat it 'waitress'' " I nodded and walked off.

She said the word waitress with a scorn. Just when I thought I was out of their site the girl called "ahh

waitress" I went to her and she wasn't looking at me she was looking at the menu 'oh thank God' I

thought "bring me toast bread with scrambled eggs and bacon, go now bye" she hands me the menu

with a scorn. She began her conversation with the man again. I came back with her order and she

asked for his bill I gave it to him he paid and hold my wrist when I was accepting the money and the bill

he put a $100 in my hand "a tip for you, thank you for your service" with a smile "she doesn't need time

a worthless piece of waitress she is an..." She didn't get to finish before he replied.

"Please miss not because your in a higher status and job than she is means that you should disrespect

her like that she has as much value in this world just as you" he stated firmly, my head hold down "you

bastard she is worth nothing in this world and I am far more valuable than she is just a lazy little twerp

that likes to eavesdrop on people's conversation" she said angrily and defensive. He scuffed "lazy, I

wouldn't talk about lazy if I were you, you're a woman or as you call yourself and yet you can't make

breakfast for yourself, you have to come to a coffee shop and you called her lazy. Shameless just

shameless" he shook his head in disapproval. She just stood up a gauge like a fish then turned to me

angrily " there are you happy now" and with that she left. " Thank you" was all I could say. He just

smiled at me, still seated, calm and collective. I looked at the plate unfinished and not paid for, that's

going to come out of my pay. Just in time my boss walks over to me " just is going on here, an unpaid

meal wow it's your lucky day cause your going to pay for it" I sighed "no she won't pay for it, I'll pay" the

man said " oh no Mr Brooks , you don't need to, she'll pay. She just can't do anything right, stupid!" He

scold me, so the man's name was Brooks, well his last name was. " You know you shouldn't be calling

your best employee stupid, unless you're even more stupid than she is" my boss stud there staring with

wide eyes "now if you will excuse me, the bill please" I gave him the bill and he paid and walked out.

He was my savior, but right when I thought it was over my boss started talking "now that was rude and

all because of you and for that your going to pay" pay what did he mean an going to pay "your fired

Miss Barnes, here is your last pay cheque you may take your leave now" and with that he started off.

I left quickly and didn't want to cry in front of him or anyone else. I picked up some groceries and went

home tears flowed right as I stepped in my little humble apartment. I couldn't even believe what had

just happened, I took the newspapers and started searching. I sat there until it was time to go to my

next job or my only job now. I took a shower and wore a short skirt blur and a blue tank top with my

black flats. I did my makeup in a light blue shade and with that I left I didn't have a phone since I don't

need one and I can't afford one. I arrived at the club on time. Not even at the club I had friends. I got

my work done and tried my very best to avoid the drunks and disgusting men that tried to touch and

grabbed at my ass. The rest of the night went by quickly and with me thinking of the man. When I got

home I was too tired to take a shower so I just stripped and went to bed in my bra and panties. I slipped

under my covers and seconds later I was out cold.
