The Art Of Revenge (Thalia Nash and Brandon)

Chapter 102

Chapter 102

Thalia’s pov

The door opened and Brandon walked in, picking the gun that had fallen on the floor. I still had my

hands on my mouth, shocked. Josh had noticed the gun and simply walked out of the room without

saying anything. Brandon tucked it away and hugged me, asking how things went.

“Terrible Brandon, I really p*ssed him off. Instead of begging for forgiveness, I was forced to brag about

all I did to him,” I replied. He merely tightened his grip on me and pulled out his phone, dialing Nestor’s

number and inquiring about Josh’s whereabouts.

“According to Nestor, he went to visit the baby,” he replied.

I hastily wiped the tears from my eyes. “Wow, that’s fantastic news… Does that imply he’ll make a

donation? Right?”

“Let’s wait and see, it’s all up to him,” he said and turned away.

“Brandon, you’re freezing. How long has it been since your last session?”

He looked away and tried to shift the conversation to something else, but I could tell he was past his

time. I pushed myself out of bed and headed over to the wheelchair. I could tell he was in a lot of pain

since he didn’t chase Josh down or talk about kidnapping him.

“Get on, Brandon.”

“NO, Thalia, we have to make sure the man doesn’t leave this hospital with our liver.”

Nestor was going to take care of it, so I ignored him and told him to get on. He got on and I wheeled

him up to his room.

While I was preparing the machine, he kept shouting, “Useless Josh is going to get away.” I answered,

“Then order Nestor to make sure he doesn’t.”

I completed the setup and made all of the necessary connections. Then inquired on how he was doing.

I could tell he was furious; he despised being h*oked up but had no choice. If he wanted to become

better, he needed to start taking the sessions seriously and accept that the machine was only a

temporary fix for his problem while the doctor worked around the clock to find a lasting answer.

I took a sample of blood and placed it in a cooler box. I was a patient, and if the doctors discovered me,

I’d be in serious trouble. But our doctor, on the other hand, was planning to stop over to check on him

and collect the samples. I could tell something was awry by the temperature of his skin. His cool skin

and calm demeanor always told me something was up.

He was undoubtedly aware of it but hid it from me since he didn’t want to bother me with all the

nonsense that was going on.

The door opened and Nestor walked in, all sweaty, “He is gone, Josh is gone.”

“Where?” I asked confused

“He just got into a cab some minutes ago,” he replied.

Brandon tried to get up but I quickly pushed him back, “Brandon, no-no-no.”

“We have to get him back, we are running out of time. This is why we should have just kidnapped him

in the first place” he yelled.

“So where are you going now, okay you were right but are you going to kidnap him yourself! Don’t you

have people for that!” I yelled back at him. Sometimes he really was very difficult to handle. I slowly sat

back in his chair and went on withdrawing the blood. “Panicking is not going to solve anything, ” I

turned and asked Nestor if he had people following Josh. He nodded and I sighed in relief.

“He is probably going to think about it, let’s just keep calm,” I said.

“Thalia we cut off his balls, he has probably gone into hiding, to punish us and kill the baby,” Brandon

replied.

I only stared at him, then turned in Nestor’s direction who looked away. I packed everything up and sat

next to Brandon.

“Any news, where is he going?” I asked Nestor.

He took out his phone and checked the messages, “He has gone to his mother’s care home,” he

replied.

“Are you sure!” I asked surprised.

“Yes, heaven hill, home for the old, that’s where the cab dropped him off,” he confirmed. “One of the

men followed him in and he was seen with his mother.”

Brandon and I stared at each other, “He has probably gone to share the good news with his mother,”

Nester suggested. We both stared at him, yes the baby would have been good news but how we got

that baby was hell. Brandon and I were supposed to be receiving court summons or police calls.

I stood up and began biting my nails, “Why is he not reporting us if he is not donating!”

“Thalia, the baby dying is the biggest punishment he can ever serve us. He knows we are too powerful

to end up rotting in jail”

“But…but…when I told him about the baby he calmed down. I saw it in his eyes, it was that information

that prevented a bloodbath in my room,” I said.

“Nestor, order the men to jump him as soon as he walks out of that home,” Brandon ordered.

I looked up at Nestor who began typing something on his phone. “How was he when he walked out of

the ICU?” I asked him.

“He was emotional, I think confused…”

As the reality of stealing his liver began to sink in, I took a seat back on the bed. I was desperate for a

clean slit for my daughter; she deserved it. It was entirely my fault; I should have remained calm and

pleaded with him, but my newfound ego got the better of me.

“But he’ll know we stole the liver, won’t we get in trouble?” I asked as I turned to face Brandon.

“I’ll take the fall; at the very least, I’ll get some house rest. We’ll steal it, but we’ll come clean afterward,

so it’ll be fair,” he declared.

“Brandon, though, you are not in a fit state to stand trial.”

“Exactly, then we settle,” he said with a smile. “The man is desperate for money and a fresh start, and

he has no idea how much I’m worth, so I won’t lose my entire fortune,” he replied with a smile. I

climbed on the bed and hugged him, making sure not to hurt him. He was always a genius every time I

f*cked up. “Please promise me that this is the last time we are doing anything illegal?” I asked him.

“I will only promise after the baby is home with us and that is not negotiable,” he replied.

Nestor excused himself and proceeded to supervise the kidnapping and ensure Josh’s safety. He

walked out after promising to keep us informed. I waved goodbye, I couldn’t help but notice that he was

ordered to leave. I moved and lay in Brandon’s arms. I looked up to find him staring at me with his gray

eyes. “It’ll be alright, she’ll be fine,” he assured me. “I’m sorry I let you down.”

“Please don’t ever take all the nonsense I say to you when I’m furious,” I said, puzzled. “You went out

of your way to make sure you delivered on your commitment. I believe we just breached a lot of

regulations and now we have to pay the price,” I replied. “You are not G*d, Brandon Fraser,” I went on This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.

to say.

“Ouch Thalia, that really hurts,” he laughed out. I giggled, it was the first time he was laughing while

hooked to the machine. “If it’s any cancellation, I also failed to name her,” I confessed. He looked at me

shocked.

“Am I a bad mother?” I asked.

“No…no you are not, okay we both suck,” he replied. I looked at him and we both erupted into laughter.

We needed the laugh, we are always on each other’s throats most of the time.

“But be assured that the baby is not going home without a name, if we have to name her as Liver… we

are naming her.”

I burst out laughing, naming her liver would definitely nail us as the worst parents

“The surname?” He asked.

“What about the surname?”

“Are you going to give her mine, yours, or Josh’s?” He asked.

I chuckled not in a funny way but in an irritating way, how could he ask such a question? Then I

remembered that I had yelled at him about the baby not being his.

“Brandon, I didn’t mean what I said back then,” I explained. “That’s our baby in there, and she’ll take

your last name.”

He grabbed me out of nowhere and began devouring my mouth. I had to pause for a moment before

realizing he was kissing me. He stopped as if he was waiting for my approval. We stared at each other,

I grabbed him and proceeded where he left off. It had been a long time coming; we both had feelings

for each other but were forced to put them aside because he was dying.

I’d always been curious about how his lips felt against mine, and he was never a letdown. He had the

flavor of Cheerios on a cold winter morning, or he had eaten something with cheerios. We were about

to continue when a knock came at the door causing us to escape free from each other like rowdy

teenagers.

The door opened and Dr. Wilson walked in. Great, just what we wanted, the doctor bringing us back to

reality. Brandon shrugged, “Dr. Wilson, has anyone ever told you how ugly you are?”Brandon asked.

“Yes you always remind me of that every day,” the doctor replied.

I cleared my throat and greeted him, quickly handing him the cooler box with all the samples in it, and

asked him to text me the results. He stared at me with an eyebrow raised, “Sorry did I interrupt

something…because I wanted to examine him first before taking the samples?” He asked.

“Yes, you interrupted everything!” Brandon yelled at him.

“No… you can examine him,” I replied, a little bit embarrassed. Let me just go and check on the baby,” I

added and waved goodbye. I could see the disappointment on Brandon’s face but it was only going to

take minutes besides the nurses were probably looking for me and I needed to check on the baby.

After I was done with everything, I took a bath and went to check on the baby. She was hanging on but

I promised her a liver was coming. I later asked for permission to sleep in Brandon’s room and the

hospital doctor agreed. I walked up to his room and stood at the door. Dr. Wilson had already gone.

We needed to talk about the kiss because it had been on my mind all day.

“Thalia I can hear you breathing,” said a voice on the other end. Surprisingly, I opened the door fast

and found him chuckling.

“How did you do?”

He responded, “I can see through doors.”

I just stood there, staring at him.

“J*sus Christ Brandon.”

“There is a camera at the door,” he said. “Wait a minute, is there a camera in my room?” I inquired.

He said, “No, I’m not a p*rvert; I just put one in the baby’s room and here”

I walked up to his tablet and grabbed it; I couldn’t believe he hadn’t told me he had a video on it. “Did

you get a video of Josh’s visit?”

“Yes,” he said, grabbing it and directing me to the video. I took a seat next to him and observed. “Why

didn’t you tell me you had this?”

“The man needed privacy, now are we going to talk about the kiss?” He asked.

I lifted my head and rolled my eyes, there was no privacy in Brandon’s head. I watched the video and

noted how emotional he was, he did not look angry, he was in tears but why did he leave?

Brandon grabbed the tablet, away from me. “This is confusing Brandon?”

“Thalia, would you be my girlfriend?” He asked out of the blue as I froze.
