Chapter 1793 In Low Spirits
Chapter 1793 In Low Spirits
"Isla, it's Sheryl's life, not yours. Did you even ask her if she really wants to go, knowing that she would
see that?"
Aron was a decent man. As much as he loved Isla, he didn't want her to do something like this.
"What do you mean? Do you not know what kind of relationship I have with Sheryl? Do you want me to
do nothing, while she gets her heart broken, and Charles is off being happy with another woman?" Isla
roared.
He didn't expect her to get this angry, so he was at a loss as to what to do or say.
"I just can't stand to see that, Aron. I can't! Someone else forced Sheryl to leave Charles. Do you know
what she's going through right now? And what does Charles do? He refuses to sign the divorce papers,
while he's in some weird relationship with Leila. If I don't make Sheryl see for herself, her life will just
get ruined!"
Isla said in one breath. She wasn't even sure if she was right because she knew that Charles loved
Sheryl.
Still, she was confused. 'If you love someone, would you hurt them?'
She simply couldn't understand, so she finally decided that Sheryl deserved to know.
"I didn't say that your decision was wrong. I just think that you should first ask Sheryl if she wants to
know. Maybe she already knows, and she's just not telling you," Aron said seriously. He noticed that
Isla was relieved after letting all that out.
Isla didn't respond further. She knew Aron was right, but she'd already decided, and that was it.
"Let's go home,"
she said slowly after a long pause. Then she turned her head and looked out the window. A thick
silence fell upon them.
Aron just sighed as he started to drive.
At that moment, Sheryl was clueless about everything. She was at home preparing for her trip to
Malaysia the following day. Even though it was just going to be a quick trip for two days, she still
needed to prepare.
When she was done, she intended to spend time with her kids, but they were already asleep.
She decided to get to bed too.
At Isla's home
Things between Aron and Isla were still tense. More specifically, Isla was mad at Aron.
"Isla, why don't you drink some milk?" Aron broke the silence.
Since Aron had seemingly conceded, Isla decided to let it go already. She received the glass of milk
and took a sip, smiling. "Wow, this tastes so good."
Aron fondly caressed her hair. "Sleep well."
"Okay."
They had finally made up. However, when Isla turned off the light so they could go to sleep already,
Aron suddenly remembered something that made him nervous.
"Isla, by the way, when you said that someone forced Sheryl into divorcing Charles, what did you mean
by that?" he asked casually.
Isla's heartbeat quickened. 'Damn it, ' she thought to herself.
'Damn, how could I have been so careless?'
Isla was already sweating with anxiety. Aron was still waiting for her to answer, so she just smiled
awkwardly. "Oh, did I say that? Maybe you misheard me? I was so angry a while ago. I didn't know
what I was saying. Anyway, it's getting late. I'm really tired. You should go to sleep too. Goodnight."
Afterward, Isla lay in Aron's arms and closed her eyes as if she was already way too sleepy.
Aron just smiled then and kissed her on the forehead before going to sleep.
In the hotel in Malaysia
Leila had prepared to spend the day with Charles, but he said that he had something else to do and
didn't come out of his room for the entire day.
As a result, Leila was in a bad mood the whole day.
This certainly didn't go unnoticed by Melissa, so she said to her, "Leila, are you looking forward to the
surprise I have for you?"
"Aunt Melissa, stop laughing at me. Charles hasn't left his room the whole day. He's obviously trying to
avoid me."
Leila was visibly upset as she bit her lower lip in disappointment. She lowered her head and avoided
Melissa's gaze. It was as if she didn't want Melissa to see her like this.
"The plan's just going to change, Leila. Let's do it tomorrow then. Just wait, okay? Everything will go
exactly as planned tomorrow. You can simply pretend that you spent today with me," Melissa said
joyfully as she grabbed Leila's hand.
Upon hearing this, a smile secretly broke onto Leila's face.
Still, when she looked at Melissa, she frowned. "Aunt Melissa, I'm so sorry. I was so busy thinking
about Charles that I forgot to take care of you."
"No. You and Charles are the only ones who treat me like royalty. You're so good to my son. That's
okay," Melissa said lightheartedly.
Leila felt better upon hearing this. She didn't ask about the surprise again.
She could also tell how much Melissa didn't want Sheryl with Charles anymore. If everything was finally
going to happen tomorrow, then it must have something to do with them. She didn't need to ask to
figure this all out. It was best if she just benefited once everything had happened.
"Aunt Melissa, how are you feeling? We can take a walk around the neighborhood. I heard from the Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.
waiter that there's a beautiful garden nearby." Leila had stayed in the hotel for the entire day, and it was
already getting dark. If she didn't go out for a walk, she might go crazy.
Melissa wanted to come along too. She had just been pretending to be sick so Leila and Charles could
spend some time together.
Since Charles wasn't around, Melissa could go out with Leila.
"Sure! Besides, we don't have anything to do anyway. We can go there to see the garden."
Melissa was seemingly happy, and Leila couldn't help but notice. Leila figured it was a smart decision
to invite her out for a walk.
She nodded at Melissa and called the receptionist to arrange for a car. In about half an hour, they were
already in the garden.
Melissa and Leila had a good time. They returned to the hotel at about nine in the evening, and they
were totally exhausted by then.
However, when they returned, Charles was nowhere to be found. Leila couldn't help but wonder what
he was doing.
"Aunt Melissa, rest well," Leila said as she walked with Melissa to her room.
