Chapter 1791 Pictures
Isla stared at Sheryl's phone screen. She couldn't believe someone would send Sheryl a message like
this. She waited and waited, but nothing came. She decided to call the number, but it seemed as if it
had already been shut down.
The more she looked at the message, the angrier she became.
She felt angry and upset for Sheryl. She couldn't imagine what it would be like for Sheryl to see those
photos. She would be heartbroken.
Isla's heart tightened as she thought about it.
She decided that she was going to delete the photos and messages. She couldn't let Sheryl see them
because she knew Sheryl would only get hurt.
Isla couldn't help but worry. She wondered who would do this to Sheryl. Who was it? Could it be Leila?
Still, she couldn't be sure.
She figured if it had been Leila, she wouldn't need to pretend to be someone else to mess with Sheryl.
Leila would proudly do it from her own phone.
The more Isla thought about it, the more worried she became. As much as she wanted to get rid of all
those photos, she didn't know how to stop them from just being resent.
She figured that since the person had included the time and location of the banquet, she might as well
be there too, so she could find out what was going on. Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
After everything that had happened, it was time to settle this once and for all.
Isla then put down the phone and headed towards the door.
Just as Isla was about to open the door to leave, Sheryl walked in. She seemed surprised to see Isla in
her office. She asked in confusion, "Isla, what are you doing in my office? Shouldn't you be in the West
City?"
Isla panicked when Sheryl caught her, and she was afraid that Sheryl would find out she had deleted
her messages. She was so anxious that she had forgotten why she came to Sheryl's office in the first
place.
She paused, then answered bashfully, "Yeah, I just thought I'd come by and say goodbye before I left.
Where have you been?"
"I went to the tea room. Do you want me to go with you?"
Sheryl walked to Isla as she asked.
Isla forced a smile and said to Sheryl, "No, I can handle it. I won't be staying long there anyway."
"That sounds great. Since I don't have much to do, I can go with you. We can go shopping afterward
when you're done,"
Sheryl said and grabbed her purse, ready to leave with Isla.
"I can't today, Sheryl. When I'm done at West City, I have several other things to do. Bye!"
Isla said quickly. She left before Sheryl could even respond, and Sheryl was puzzled.
As Sheryl stood in her now-empty office, she couldn't help but wonder if Isla was hiding something from
her. She was acting so strange. Sheryl also found it hard to believe that Isla would decline her invitation
to go shopping when Isla was such a shopaholic!
When Isla left Sheryl's office, she walked to Phoebe's desk.
Phoebe seemed to be busy with something. When she saw Isla walking toward her looking rather
anxious, she stood up and asked, "President Zhao, what happened?"
"Any mail Sheryl gets in the next few days should go through me first. You can't give it to her before I
check it, okay?" Isla said, lowering her voice. She looked around to see if someone could hear her.
Even though Phoebe didn't know why Isla was asking her to do this, she just nodded her head in
agreement.
Still, she was confused, so she asked, "President Zhao, what's going on?"
"I don't know yet. I'll find out tomorrow," Isla answered Phoebe, while lost in her thoughts as she then
left the Cloud Advertising Company.
Phoebe watched as Isla walked away, her mind racing.
This was the first time that Phoebe had seen Isla like this. Even though Isla hadn't told her anything
yet, she was sure that something was up.
Phoebe couldn't help but look at Sheryl's office door.
Outside the buidling of the Shining Advertising Company
Isla didn't go to West City. She blankly stared at the building, wishing she could see Sheryl through the
window.
This was obviously impossible as Sheryl's office floor was on the top floor.
As she stood there, she tried to muster up all her courage. "Isla, it's the right thing to do. Sheryl should
know what kind of person Charles really is. Sheryl may still have feelings for Charles, but Charles
doesn't anymore. Even if he does, it's not the same. He doesn't love her like he used to, or he wouldn't
hurt Sheryl like that."
Determined, Isla got into her car and drove away.
Sheryl could tell something was wrong, especially with how strange Isla was acting. She sat in her
office, lost in thought.
She knew that something had happened, but she couldn't figure out what it was, and it was driving her
crazy.
So Sheryl called Phoebe, "Phoebe, come into my office."
Phoebe was surprised upon receiving the call. She then quickly went into Sheryl's office.
"President Xia, what's wrong?" Phoebe asked Sheryl in confusion.
Sheryl pursed her lips. She scratched at her head before she opened her mouth. "Did Isla tell you
anything before she left?"
"Ah?"
Phoebe didn't expect Sheryl would ask her this. She panicked, not knowing how to respond, so she just
stood there, staring blankly at Sheryl.
Sheryl burst into laughter when she saw the look on Phoebe's face. She said to Phoebe, "Relax,
Phoebe. I just feel like Isla's hiding something from me. So…she didn't tell you anything, right?"
"Yes, President Zhao didn't tell me anything."
Phoebe decided to lie because she knew Isla must be up to something. Since Isla obviously didn't want
Sheryl to know, she figured it was best to just not say anything to Sheryl.
"Okay, you can go back to work now," Sheryl said to Phoebe. She too resumed working.
As soon as Phoebe left her office, everything was silent. Sheryl couldn't focus on her work at all.
She decided to just put her worries aside since she had no way of finding out what it was anyway.
When Isla had finished with her work, she headed back to the Cloud Advertising Company.
She stood at the entrance, hesitating. She lifted her head, then lowered it. The security guard couldn't
help but stare, finding Isla to be acting rather oddly.
He slowly made his way toward Isla and asked politely, "President Zhao, is something wrong? Can I
help you?"
"Oh, nothing. Why do you ask?" Isla suddenly returned to her senses, so she looked at the security
guard and put on a smile.
