“Mistress?” Elixir called behind her.

She didn’t reply and pulled the door open.

“Mistress! You have to wear your clothes,” Elixir said with urgency, though she was still sobbing and the hint was in her voice.

Bonnie stopped suddenly and looked back at her, “Where are they?”

Elixir looked away and sobbed the more, ” Xavier forbade anyone to attend to them. So, they are still in the prison.”

” What?” Bonnie felt her heart squeezed and the tears came down her eyes. She swallowed harder, “where is Xavier?”

Elixir fell to the floor and sobbed harder.

” Where is he, Elixir?” She screamed at her, anger seemed to have taken full control of her and her breathing was coming out in a rasp sounds, “Take me to him! Now!”

“She doesn’t need to,” a deep familiar voice said behind her, the hardness of it shook through her body.

Bonnie looked at Xavier with hatred, “Where are my parents?”

Xavier smirked, “Have you forgotten? You are Gwen and your parents are in the city. Boston, they are in Boston.”

” Don’t you dare give me such!” She yelled at him. Her head was reeling, and her blood was boiling. The intensity could boil eggs.

Xavier looked down at Elixir as he tried to lose his cuffs, “Leave us now! And make sure no maids stay in front of my bedroom.”

” Yes Alpha,” Elixir shuttered, got up, and rushed outside.

Xavier moved to the door and locked it. He turned to look at her again, “Have you forgotten your promise?”

“Hell with promises! You broke your side of the promise and I will break mine as well.”

Xavier chuckled, ” You seemed to be missing something here,” his eyes hardened and the smile was suddenly gone from his face.

His face made her shudder.

He took two strides towards her to fill in the space between them. Bonnie could scent him, the action causing a mixed feeling in her.

“Your parent wanted to die. They kidnapped my mate, refused to talk, and still had the gut to speak with the maid to poison them.”

Bonnie’s eyes went wide with shock, ” What are you talking about?”

” Oh,” he moved to stand behind her, ” It seemed like you didn’t hear the full gist of the story. And you merely jumped to a conclusion?”

He was so near that his clothes were making contact with the blanket around her.

“We tortured the maid already and she confessed that your father told her to poison him so that you, his daughter could live. And now that, I decided to let him have his wish, you think I’m breaking my promise?”

Bonnie turned to look at him, with disbelief in her eyes, and her hands suddenly gripped the blanket, “My father would never do that. This isn’t right.”

Xavier moved away from her, ” You seemed to know so much about your father. Then you should know where my mate is.”

Bonnie could feel the tears drop from her eyes, ” Please save my parents.”

Xavier moved to the window, “I will if he can tell me where Gwen is,” his voice was hard and well, harsh.

“Please. I will help you find Gwen. Please, just save my father.”

He scoffed, ” I can’t believe someone who lied to me.”

Bonnie fell to her knees, ” Please,” she cried, ” I didn’t lie to you. Please, save my parents and I will do anything you want me to do.”

Xavier went silent as he continued to look out through the window, “You broke your promise twice. You even tried to kill yourself yesterday. If I hadn’t come in, what would have happened? Or if someone saw you and informed your parent or Alpha Rowan?”

Bonnie felt her mouth dry at his explanation. Well, initially, she hadn’t wanted to die. It was something she didn’t plan. But she had wanted the moon goddess to answer her prayer.

“Please, I’m begging you to forgive me and save my parents. I will be obedient, “She beseeched softly, while still crying.

She had wanted to find the main culprit but it was all for her parents. If something happened to them, Bonnie wasn’t sure if she would be eager to live or walk on the dangerous path with him.

Bonnie stood up slowly, the tears still dripping from her eyes. She felt ragged and a headache had set in but she had determination in her eyes.

She looked up at Xavier’s grey shirt. She wondered what he was looking at but she wasn’t even a bit concerned with it.

“Fine, you will let them die?” Her voice went hard all of a sudden. The hardness in it forced Xavier to look at her, “But don’t forget that you won’t be losing them alone, you will be losing me too.”

He smirked, ” Are you threatening me?” He yelled, angrily.

Bonnie swallow harder, ” No, I am not. I’m just telling you the truth anyway. I will have no mission on earth if my parents are dead. What do you think I will be doing?”

Xavier took three heavy strides to her, his face curled up into a dark frown, “Don’t you dare threaten me!” He gripped her hard by the neck and Bonnie struggled to breathe, “Don’t you dare try on my patient! I might as well kill you myself!” His eyes went red with rage.

Bonnie smiled, ” Then do it,” she managed to say.

Xavier threw her on the bed in the second instance. He almost forgot. Rowan was around and any mistake might mean war.

Bonnie sat up on the bed, “See,” she laughed, a sound of dirge, “You can’t afford to kill me. Now, watch this. I will kill myself the moment I hear the news of my parent’s died.”

Xavier clenched his teeth at her, ” You wouldn’t dare!”

Bonnie shook her head briefly, “Don’t try on my patient as well Xavier. I will do something once I set my mind to it.”

Xavier’s eyes widened. He wanted to do something, grab her and teach her a lesson but he knew the consequences even before it would happen.

He turned around nonetheless, “You won’t be chanced to kill yourself. You will be locked up in here till further notice,” he touched the door to open but Bonnie’s uncalled attitude pulled him to a stop.

Bonnie was laughing as if he just cracked a joke.

He turned to her again, skeptical.

“You seriously think that will stop me?” Bonnie became sober again, ” Have you forgotten Alpha Rowan will be leaving tomorrow? And I’m going with him? Do you think I won’t be able to kill myself then?” A faint smile was on her face, ” And that would be very much fun. Imagine me informing Rowan that I killed myself because of you? I imagine how fierce the war will be when I’m gone,” she frowned, “Perhaps you will have to join me later on.”

” Do you think I’m scared of war?”

” Then why don’t you leave the door open and let my plan work.”

Xavier regarded her for a moment before he released an exasperated sigh, “What do you want? You want to make a deal with me?”

“Yes, save my parents and I will follow your plan. In fact, I will help you to find your mate.”

Xavier furrowed his brows, ” Fine! I will do that! But I’m watching you and your father. You had better provide my mate or I will kill you all. Then you will know how much I’m not scared about this!” He yelled and stormed out.

Bonnie released the breath she didn’t even know she was holding and the tears fell freely down her cheeks.
