One-Hundred Twenty-Six: Bad Weather
Imyra
It is now day two of this storm. I can tell that a few of them are starting to get bored. So far, nothing has
happened. However, I know if this weather continues for another day or two, then the pranks will start.
A few of the guys are starting to prank each other. None have been too bad yet, but it’s a matter of
time. The longer this storm carried, I knew that sooner or later, Mykenzie and Kylani would begin to get
bored with being stuck inside. While it is true that they could make this storm go away, they usually let
nature run its course. I was currently in the kitchen helping my daughter and Araya cook. Both are
excellent cooks. I am decent at cooking. Dimitri is the cook in our family. That’s who Daniylla learned
everything from. I am not sure where Araya learned, but she is good. She wants to go to culinary
school when she graduates. I have no doubt she will excel there. I am sure she will be a famous chef
one day. Mitchell, Peter, Josh, and Brighton are sitting on stools on the opposite side of the counter.
They decided on their own that they would be our official taste testers. I think they just want to be first
at the food.
“OK, WHICH OF YOU ASSHOLES PUT HAIR DYE IN Y SHAMPOO BOTTLE?” I hear Marcus scream.
He had just walked into the packhouse. I am the first to see him as he walks into view. I had to turn
around to hide my laughter quickly. His normally dark blonde hair is now very bright orange. It looks like
someone cut a large orange in half and stuck it on his head.
“Damn man, that is orange,” Josh says.
“When I find out who the dick is that did this, I am gonna kill him,” Marcus replies.
I try to do something, so I don’t have to turn around because I know I will start laughing if I do. I hear
hysterical laughing start behind me, and I cannot help but turn around to see what is happening. That’s
when I lose it. My loving husband, Ashton, and Jace’s mate Colin is standing there. I can barely see the
three of them through my tears. All three have apparently been gotten by the mystery hair dyer.
Dimitri’s normally dark chocolate brown hair is now bright magenta. Ashton’s hair which was purple,
now has very bright green highlights weaved into it, and Colin, who has naturally white-blonde hair,
now has bright yellow hair with black lowlights weaved in. He looks like a 6’2” tall bee.
“At least I am not the only one.” Marcus mumbles.
“MYKENZIE AND KYLANI, WHERE IN THE FUCK ARE YOU TWO? I KNOW IT WAS YOU TWO
LITTLE SHITS!” Dimitri yells.
“YOU HAVE NO PROOF!” Kylani yells back.
“I don’t even fucking live here. How did I get caught up in this shit?” Dimitri grumbles.
I walk over to him and give him a kiss on his cheek. I get a half-smile. I know it was those two, but as
Mykenzie said, there is no proof. Well, we age it a day and a half. The gauntlet has been tossed in. It’s
everybody for themselves in this war.
Dustin
Nate, Kaleb, and I walk in that evening after being at work all day. It is the end of day two of this shit
weather. I knew I would walk into something, but this was not what I expected. The three of us just
stand there staring at Marcus, Dimitri, Ashton, and Colin. All four have very bright and interestingly NôvelDrama.Org copyrighted © content.
coloured hair. Apparently, the prank war has begun.
“What in the hell happened to you four?” Nate asks.
“Well, someone put hair dye in my shampoo bottle,” Marcus says.
“We woke up and our hair was like this,” Colin grumbles.
Kaleb is already laughing, and I can’t help but start. Nate is trying so hard not to laugh. Leah, Natalya,
Jace, and Rye walk into the room at that moment. It looks like they were out shopping. All four start
laughing hysterically.
“Oh god, I am gonna pee myself.” Leah gasps out.
“You look like a giant bumblebee,” Jace tells Colin.
Natalya and Rye are laughing so hard they can’t even talk. I just shake my head and head to my room
to change out of this suit. I find Mykayla in there with our twins. A smile breaks out across my face
when my little princess reaches out for me. Mykayla looks up and smiles.
“I see you still have your natural hair color.” She comments.
“I have been at work all day, so I escaped,” I tell her.
I grab some sweatpants and a t-shirt and head into the bathroom to change. I come back out and pick
up Mariah. I look at her, and I know I am in so much trouble when she gets older. She looks just like her
mother. Definitely, Mykayla’s only in a mini version. All of a sudden, a ground-shaking scream
reverberates through the entire house. It is not stopping, and the house is trembling. Fuck, I know that
scream. I hand Mariah to Mykayla and bolt out the bedroom door and down the stairs. The scream is
coming from the rec room. When I get there, Mykenzie and Kylani are standing on the couch
screaming bloody murder. Jailynn, Alexis, and Bryn are standing there, petrified with fear. I see Seth,
Peter, Colin, and Zak standing there, covering their ears. On the floor in front of the girls are three huge
rubber spiders. Chris, Kaleb, Reecie, Rye, and Jason come running into the room behind me. They
quickly look around and see what the issue is. Reecie and Kaleb quickly walk over to Mykenzie and
Kylani and cover their mouths just as all five pass the fuck out. At least the screaming stopped. Dimitri
shows up then and gives the four a very pissed-off look. We lay the five on the couch, and now we just
have to wait for them to wake up—time to lay a few ground rules for this apparent prank war that has
begun.
Peter
Ok, so maybe the giant rubber spiders were a bad idea. Fuck, my ears are still ringing. I knew we were
in trouble when Dimitri and Dustin shot us those glares. Hey, those two had been pranking people all
day. Not that we had proof that it was them, but we knew. I was expecting a scream when we threw the
giant rubber spiders into the room. I was not expecting the ear-piercing, house-shaking screams that
they released. The four of us had to cover our ears. Currently, the four of us are sitting there in the rec
room, watching as Chris, Kaleb, Rye, Reecie, Jason, and Dustin tend to the girls. Dimitri is standing
against the wall with his arms crossed and glaring at us.
“Ok, I don’t care that this prank war is happening, but I am going to lay a few ground rules.” Dustin
says.
“No spiders real or fake.” Reecie states.
Yes, I can see that now. How were we supposed to know that these seven girls were deathly terrified of
spiders?
“Seriously, these two can blow up our planet, but spiders freak them out,” Seth says.
“Yes,” Kaleb replies.
“My sisters and the other girls are deathly afraid of them,” Chris tells us.
“Prank war rules. No spiders and nothing that can hurt each other. Anything else goes.” Dustin says.
Ok, that is fair. Learned a lesson the hard way today. Fuck I really thought that entire house was going
to collapse. Dustin quickly sends the rules for this prank war to everyone after this happens. Everyone
agrees to the new rules. The four of us leave the rec room. When we get upstairs, we all receive death
glares. Well, fuck, apparently, we went a bit too far.
“You guys do realize that they are gonna get up back and it’s gonna be bad.” Rye states.
Well, shit, he is probably right. Great, I wonder what they will do and when. Ok, so now I regret
agreeing to Seth’s little prank. Hopefully, they don’t turn me into anything bad.
