The Alpha’s Obsession with his Ex-Contract Luna

Chapter 146

Chapter 146

“What makes you think that I care if she’s even dying?” Alpha Nick asked coldly, Charlotte had given them nothing but trouble, and he Indeed wished she was dead.

Charlotte was seeing things differently. All that she felt for Alpha Nick before flew out of the window.

She had no idea if she would find a second chance mate or if the moon goddess would pair her with Tom.

However, even if Tom moved on before she found him, she would accept whatever life gave her, as her greed had caused her to lose

everything. Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.

“Goliath, it’s alright, Aside from a little cold, we can make it through the dungeon,” Charlotte said softly as one of the warriors dragged her

roughly.

She made no attempt to defend herself or beg, feeling like she deserved to be punished for all the wrongs she had done.

If this child survived the war and all her wickedness for two months, then Charlotte knew she would be able to survive even more gruesome

things.

Nevertheless, when Daisy saw the way Charlotte was being treated, she began to bawl, violently trying to free herself from her mother’s arms. To prevent a fall, Sheridan gently dropped her, and she ran to hug Charlotte’s legs, as if protecting her from the warriors.

Everyone was stunned, and even Charlotte’s eyes were moist. She saw genuine love in the little girl’s eyes like she had never seen before.

Bending a little, she lifted the little girl in her arms, and everyone was shocked to see Daisy wiping Charlotte’s tears with her tiny fingers.

“What’s going on here?” Alpha Nick scratched his eyes. It was as if he was dreaming. Daisy was naturally a gentle soul, but he was surprised about her relationship with Charlotte.

It was as if they had known each other for a very long time, when it had only been a day since Daisy’s disappearance.

“Your daughter’s spirit is pure. She can detect a good heart from a bad one. This is proof that Charlotte has changed. Ever since she woke up from her coma, she’s been different,” Sheridan explained.

Sheridan wanted to ask about the details of the coma but could not help feeling that it was not her business.

“Our herbalist checked on her. She went into a coma and was asked to choose between life and death. She chose life, which also meant she had to change for the better. Please, Alpha Nick. I was the one who kidnapped Daisy. Charlotte insisted that we bring her back to you. If she hadn’t changed, would she have brought Daisy back?”

Alpha Nick thought carefully. All he wanted to do before was ensure that Charlotte was gone for good, but the way Daisy was comfortable with her caused him to do a lot of rethinking.

“What if she’s just using it as a stepping stone to do something worse? Most probably, she wants something from us,” Alpha Nick thought aloud, Goliath could not deny it since Charlotte indeed wanted something from Alpha Nick and Sheridan.

“Yes, she does, but it is not what you think. All Charlotte wants is to be with Tom. He doesn’t know about the pregnancy,” Goliath explained. He was not happy, but if being with Tom would make Charlotte happy, then why not?

“So, what does that have to do with me? With us?” Alpha Nick asked sarcastically. Goliath felt helpless but had already come too far to back

away

She said that your beta was good at finding people and was determined to come and beg you to let him help her during the coronation before I brought Daisy to her.”

Alpha Nick shook his head, not willing to carry a liability. “We don’t know where Tom Is.”

“Okay. Then please let us go. I will help her find him,” Goliath pleaded. Charlotte would not be able to have access to the magic pack if she left alone, so Goliath was trying to ensure that they both left together.

*No. You have to pay for kidnapping Daisy.”

“Alpha Nick, for the fact that you did not come to rescue Daisy yourself, should you not also show us mercy?”

“Nick, let them go,” Sheridan said, and Alpha Nick was insistent.

“Then this idiot has to pay. He confessed to being the one who kidnapped Daisy,” Alpha Nick persuaded her, but Sheridan had a small smile

on her face.

Back in the days when she and Charlotte were very good friends, this innocence was what Sheridan saw in her, but then Charlotte turned out to be something that was not human.

“Look at Daisy. It doesn’t look as if she has been under any stress,” Sheridan pointed out. Alpha Nick observed the little girl in Charlotte’s arms for a while before agreeing and saying,

“Alright, if you say so.”

Sheridan took Daisy from Charlotte, and the little one kept smiling at Charlotte. Guilt lay heavily on Charlotte’s heart, and she decided to ask

for forgiveness.

“I’m sorry for all I did to you, Sheila. It took me so long to realize it, but the reason why you always won against me is because of your heart. It’s very pure, just like Daisy’s. You are a great Luna and an amazing mother. I wish you all the best.”

She did not expect Sheridan to be the one to forgive her first, so this was touching.

Sheridan was rendered speechless, looking on as Goliath helped Charlotte to the car. When he was about to open the door to the driver’s side, Alpha Nick tapped on his shoulder.

When he turned around, a punch sent him to the floor. “That is for kidnapping Daisy.” The blow was very heavy, it scared Goliath’s wolf away for close to two minutes.

Strangely enough, Daisy smiled as Goliath staggered from the floor and into the car. He was glad to not have faced Alpha Nick for a fight during the war.

Alpha Nick and Luna Sheridan waited until the car disappeared into the distance before they saw what was stuck between Daisy’s fingers.
