Chapter 103
Chapter 103
Charlotte was losing her mind, being at the receiving end. She could already feel the bond shaking, and her
acceptance would completely break it.
Never in her life did she think of this day when she would lose her destined mate. It was uncalled for. Mistakes should be forgiven, and second chances granted.
Was that not the reason why the moon goddess gave second–chance mates? For as long as they agreed to work it out, things would be fine between them.
“No. I won’t accept it. I won’t let you go. Not everything you said is true. I didn’t cheat on you,” Charlotte lied, refusing to accept the rejection.
Without the lie, nob*dy would stand with her, so all she had to do was make the lie believable.
Alpha Nick’s gaze darkened dangerously, even Sheridan feared as she moved away from him. Alpha Nick squatted on the floor facing Charlotte, but he was speaking to the pack members.
There were two ways to break the bond. It was either rejection or death. If one way refused to work, the other
had to be effective.
Sheridan was not disturbed about the change of events, knowing that Alpha Nick would take care of it. Alpha Nick chuckled mockingly as Charlotte crawled slightly away from him.
The slap had rendered her left ear useless, as she could not hear with it anymore. Alpha Nick did not take it
kindly, and neither was he gentle with her.
Rising to his feet and turning to face the pack members, he revealed nonchalantly, “I forgot to add that they continued f**king each other in the woods. Right here, in this pack. Ray, do you have the video?”
At this time, the pack members were aggravated. Charlotte was the one cheating, and yet she had the guts to call them all to accuse their Alpha.
Not only that, she even defiled their pack by doing it in their sacred place, which was in the woods. Both Tom
and Charlotte knew that all hopes were not lost for them.
“Yes, Alpha,” the pack member who called Alpha Nick on that day quickly answered.
“Let it go viral, and Amell, Alpha Nick called out to the chief warrior who spied on Charlotte during the gala awards night.
“Yes, Alpha,” the head warrior responded with all attention on what the Alpha was going to instruct him to do.
“Do you still have that video?” Alpha Nick asked, recalling how the head warrior had called him out to come and see for himself. It should have been recorded even without his instruction for it to be
done.
“Yes, Alpha,” Amell agreed, adding, “I will send it viral.”
Alpha Nick glared at the woman on the floor, saying, “Charlotte, prove to me that everything I have said is wrong. Deny it again if you dare.”
Charlotte sat on the floor, afraid of angering him any further since her left ear was still numb. No wonder Alpha Nick was so feared. His punch was like that of three Alphas combined. Before Charlotte opened her mouth, someb*dy else beat her to it.
“It’s true,” Goldie said out of the blue, gaining everyone
cat, including
that of Alpha Nick.
She wanted to tell this secretly to her mate, but from the look of things, it was better for her to say it now.
“That night at the gala awards, I was pulled by the mate bond, but reaching there, my so–called Destined mate was finger–f**king my cousin’s ex–husband’s mate, so I rejected him. I am a witness to all that Alpha Nick said about the gala awards night.”
Disgust lay on the faces of the people present, and the pack members only waited for the Alpha to make the final
declaration of handing Charlotte and Tom over to them.
Alpha Nick only had to deal with the rejection part, but for defiling their pack because of insatiable pleasure, the
pack members had to take matters into their own hands.
Alpha Seiko was shocked to hear this, and he began to wonder how Alpha Nick was able to remain calm in the
midst of this storm.
“Alpha Nick, why endure so much? You should have killed her,” Alpha Seiko raged. “Why did you continue to feed and give her shelter? You are too kind. Are you even the Alpha Nick Thorax I knew?”
At first, he was the one thinking that Alpha Nick was not being fair with his mate, but after all this revelation, he was pained that Alpha Nick tolerated so much. If he had known before now, he would have even shown Alpha Nick more taunting things to do to the two cheaters.
The videos began dropping on their phones, and that was when the pack members began to rage. “Alpha, they committed an abomination. They have to be stoned.” The voices echoed together in unison, and Charlotte felt like her other ear would equally grow dumb because of the noise.
“That is your right. I won’t take it from you,” he shrugged before turning to Charlotte. “Charlotte, accept my
rejection now. If you don’t, death is another way to break it. It’s not far from you.”
Tom was already dragged out like a common thief, and some of the pack members went to find stones and began to stone him wherever it would hit to make his death faster.
When Charlotte saw this, she shivered from fright. “No. I would never accept your rejection. I love you.” Her voice was meek, but Alpha Nick’s gaze darkened dangerously.
What did she mean by love? Was it love to hurt the person you claimed to love? It was obvious that she was just being greedy and jealous of the fact that she was going to be replaced by Sheridan in Alpha Nick’s heart.
Unknown to her, she had been replaced a long time ago even without a bond. “Pack, she’s in your hands. Deal with her first so the bond can be broken.”
Charlotte froze at Alpha Nick’s command. He really gave up on her, condemning her to die terribly. Charlotte was soon dragged out to the middle of the pack. Tom was dragged beside her, but only she had the pack members‘ attention for now. This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
Wherever the stone hit, it was so painful, her wolf retreated, leaving her to endure the pain alone. Charlotte could not take it anymore as her face was already red and turning bloody.
“Wait, I want to accept his rejection,” she forced out, causing them to halt their actions.
Everyb*dy waited as she said the words as if it was the most painful words she ever uttered in her life.
“I, Charlotte Next, accept Alpha Nick Thorax’s rejection.”
Pain tore through both her and Alpha Nick’s heart, but Alpha Nick felt that it was the most beautiful pain ever. The beauty of letting go of negative energy. Letting go of all the toxins in his life.
Turning to Sheridan with delight in his eyes, one word left both their lips. Sheridan, “mate.” Alpha Nick, “MINE.”
