The Alpha’s Moon Child by Nocturnes Moon

Chapter 22

Chapter 22

Remembering What Was Once Forgotten Ren’s POV. Just as I was about to get into the car with Saphira, Darrian called out to me. “Alpha Ren, a moment, please.” He informed me that Constance had called looking for the former Alpha. He expressed concern for Saphira and any retaliation Constance might act out. I agreed that this was concerning news and that we needed to double security around Saphira at all times. He also mentioned the fact that we didn’t know what Constance actually looked like. He told me his mate was already talking with the pack members that had been here the longest to see if any remember Constance, as well as checking, threw everything in the Alphas office and house to see if a picture could be found. I thanked him for their quick response and linked my father to let the Triple Moon Alphas know of the development. “The Alphas agree and will be sending a second group of their best to assist Alpha Darrian here.” My father linked back. “Thank you, father; I think it’s best we get on the road. We are already running late.” I replied. I got in with Saphira and couldn’t help but smile looked like a kid on Christmas morning. She had dumped the box of candy beside her and was going through and reading every box. She had sent a few boxes in her lap. “Are those your favorite?” I asked. She looked doo 2nd at them. “No, they were my dad’s favorite. He always had them in his car. I remember one time it got really hot and they melted together and he tried to eat the big clump in one bite but they got stuck to his teeth. He had to pull over and go into a gas station to buy a bottle of water with his mouth stuck shut. It was the best day ever.” I could see a tear forming in her eye. “What would you like to watch?” I asked, trying to defuse the situation. “I am not sure I haven’t gotten to watch a movie or tv for that matter in a long time. I’m not even sure what my options are.” Her reply made me sad. It was hard for me to wrap my head around what had happened to her over these years. Things that I had 0.00% O Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

16:02 What Was Once Forgotten. taken for granted growing up like a cell phone, the internet, getting to watch the movies in theaters, and so many other things she hadn’t gotten to experience. “That will change now that she is our mate,” Nocturne said to me. “We will make sure she has a chance to experience all that she has missed.” it didn’t take long for Saphira to fall asleep. We were maybe 30 mins into the drive when I noticed she had curled up and fell asleep amidst the pillows and blankets. I decided to follow suit and try to get a quick nap in. I woke up a few hours later. It took me a moment to realize what Saphira was thrashing in her sleep. She was having a Nightmare. “Saphira darlin wake up.” I placed my hand on her shoulder to try and bring her out of the dream. She opened her eyes and screamed. She pushed herself back against the car door. “NO “she screamed again. “I won’t let you take me again. Please leave me alone.” In her panic, she had tried to get out of the car, not realizing it was still moving. She unlocked the door and swung it open. My heart sank at the thought of her falling out, and I jumped to catch her. Thankfully the driver had already begun to slow down and pull to the shoulder of the road. The car had almost come to a complete stop. She realized what she was doing a little too late; she had already jumped out when she glanced back at me with fearful eyes. I didn’t waste a moment and jumped out seconds behind her. I pulled her into my arms and wrapped my entire body around her, Twisting in mid-air to ensure I hit the ground first. I hit with a thud, and we rolled down the small embankment into the ditch. The impact hadn’t hurt me but slightly; I had taken harder hits than that during training. I was more worried about Saphira. I had hoped that I had been able to take most of the hit and that she hadn’t been hurt by it much. “Saphira baby are you ok?” I asked. There was no answer at first. Saphira ? Are you ok? Sweetheart, talk to me,” “She is ok physically, love, but I had to take over for a moment.” It was Saphira’s voice but she spoke with more confidence. It took me a minute to realize who I was talking to. “Elune, is that 16:02 Vouchers

you?” Yes my love it is. I had to take over for a few moments to give Saphira a chance to calm down.” “What happened ?” I asked. “She was having a nightmare about the night of the wreck. She hasn’t ridden in a car much since then and I think that the prolonged car ride brought back memories of the wreck she until now hadn’t remembered. I tried to calm her through our connection, but it wasn’t working. She is a lot stronger than she knows.” Can she hear me?” I asked. “Yes, she can, but is afraid you are angry with her. I have tried to explain That you are not and that even if you were, I would kick your butt for her, but it isn’t helping.” I laughed a bit but soon realized from the look Elune had given me that she wasn’t joking, and I did not doubt that she probably would be able to kick my a**. “Saphira, honey, listen to me, please. It is ok. I am not angry with you. I understand what happened and why you panicked. I want to make sure you are ok, and I promise you you are safe. You are not in any trouble.” Elune stood up and brushed herself off. “Thanks for catching us; that wouldn’t have been good for us in human form. At least not yet anyway.” She could see my questioning expression. “After the full moon tomorrow night, we will take on the rest of our abilities. Speaking of the full moon, that brings me to another topic I feel we need to talk about. Perhaps we could get back in a talk as not to waste any more time. It is getting late, and we have at least another 65 miles before we arrive at the Moon Gardens.” I agreed she was right; we needed to be going. I nodded my head. “Yes, that sounds like a good idea.
