Chapter 14

I jumped up frantically as the sounds of the rainforest began filling my room.

I glared at the small alarm clock that sat on my nightstand whacking the off button on it.

They say the sounds of the rainforest are calm and soothing. What type of rainforest are you listening

to?

I sighed pushing the blankets off me grabbing my clothes to get ready for me and Roxy's getaway

weekend.

It was going to be fun. The stress of Roxy’s big day slowly easing from my mind.

As soon as she blew out her candles she will know who her true love will be.

I turned the shower on stepping in sighing.

I wanted her to so desperately be my mate.

I know we haven't been dating long but I loved her.

It was like a love at first sight type of thing.

I groaned running a hand through my hair I sounded like such a sap sometimes.

I finished taking my shower and headed to my room to make sure everything was ready for our trip.

After I spent a few minutes checking to see if everything was ready there was a knock on my door.

I smiled brightly thinking it was Roxy but opened the door for my smile to only drop.

“Hi Mr.Mathews” I said, gulping at his hard stare.

“I just wanted to talk to you before you left” He said and I just nodded.

“I want you two to both behave” He said and I nodded feeling my face become hot.

“Also you better protect my Lil Roxy” He said and I nodded.

I might not be the strongest but I wasn't going to let anything touch Roxy.

His hard stare then turned into a smile as he gripped my shoulder.

“Relax son I know you'll be good have fun” He said walking away.

I breathed out heavily in relief feeling my heart going back to its usually steady beat.

As I watched Roxy's dad walk down the hallway I also noticed Roxy's door opened as she walked out

with her bags.

I mumbled “Oh shit” I was so scared out of my wits by her father I forgot we had to leave.

I grabbed my suitcase meeting her at the steps.

“Are you ready” She asked and I nodded smiling at her.

We practically ran down the steps, our bags rumbling loudly behind us.

“You two have fun now” Her mom yelled smiling as she waved us off.

Roxy's parents had gotten someone to drive us to the cabin.

It was supposed to take 5 long hours. I sighed getting into the car after we put our bags in the trunk.

“Are you ready” Roxy shouted excitedly jumping up and down practically hitting her head of the roof of

the car every time.

“Of course I am, it's going to be awesome” I said and she nodded her head hyperly in agreement.

Soon we were off on our long and tiring journey.

It was night when we arrived at the cabin and we stared around amazingly at the whole thing.

I was so tired as Roxy and I went to go to our room until we were hit with a sudden surprise.

There was only one bed and I glanced at her.

“I'll just take the couch” I said turning to leave but she grabbed my forearm.

I turned around slowly to be met by her smirk “What are you afraid to sleep with me?” She asked and I

felt my face heat up.

She wants to sleep with me. I shook my head trying to pull my mind from the gutter it was crawling into.

“I'm not scared I just don't want to make you feel uncomfortable” I said and she nodded.

Of course it would be the same why was I acting so weird.

We unpacked our clothes while I headed into the bathroom to change.

I came back and almost dropped my clothes as I stood there watching Roxy who only had some flower

pajama shorts and a pink tank top on.

I gulped trying to maintain myself. That's what the difference was we always fell asleep fully dressed.

I sighed rubbing the back of my neck embarrassingly when me and Roxy's eyes met.

I walked awkwardly to the side of the bed I was suppose to sleep in.

Roxy hopped into bed still oblivious to my flustered state.

She crawled up against me warming up my cold body.

She nuzzled her face into my neck which caused my breath to hitch.

Being so close to her while she had more skin revealing made me feel weird.

Not a bad weird it was good more like an attraction.

Not my usual attraction a sexual one perhaps.

I groaned at myself for having such thoughts.

I didn't want her to be disgusted or mad at me.

I still have those needs because I'm just a man. Whoa wait a second when did I go all Sam smith.

I shook my head at myself glancing down at Roxy who was fast asleep.

This was going to be a long weekend.
