The Alphas And The Orphan

It’s been four days since Suzie’s birthday, and she, her parents and Blair are leaving for Scotland.

Rob and Molly were really upset about leaving the home they have had since they got married, as they did’t want it to remain empty. They had told Max that she can live there when she turns 18 next month, whether she finds her mate or not.

All of their belongings have been packed and shipped ahead of them, so other than a few bags of clothes, they are ready to go.

I have known since my wedding that my friend, no my sister, would be leaving, but now that it’s here I just want to want to pick her up and hide her somewhere, and I know Max feels the same.

We are standing outside the pack house, and the three of us are holding each other so tight, tears are running down our faces, we have never been apart.

I pulled away from my friend and cupped her cheeks, “remember we have a daily video chat that none of us is allowed to miss. You are not allowed to forget about us”

She rolls her eyes at me, “like I could forget the two of you, idiot.”

Max pulls her in for another tight hug, “if you have a problem with anyone you tell them Star will fry them, and remember that we love you.”

“Stop it you two, I’m going to cry again. I promise if anyone gives me s**t I will go full Luna on their a*s.” I smirk, “goddess I love the Luna aura, if you let it right out you can make someone s**t themselves.”

Max rolls her eyes, “Yeah, yeah you are both Luna’s. I get it, my mate will probably be an Omega, at least I know it won’t be Aiden. I was worried it would be for a while, seen as we can start an argument by just looking at each other.”

Suzie smirks and winks at me, “it could be Olly, I have seen him looking at you, and he has a lot of experience, maybe even more than you.”

Max gets an almost dreamy look in her eyes, before clearing her expression and making gagging sounds, “Oh please, like I would want that man whore.”

Blair wraps his arms around Suzie’s waist and presses his lips to her neck, “I’m sorry baby, but it’s time to go.” we have a last hug, before Blair pulls me in for a hug. “See you soon, cuz, don’t worry I will look after her I promise, and we will be back when you need us.”

I reached up and kissed his cheek, “thank you for making her so happy, we will see you soon.”

Rob and Molly wrap me in a huge hug, my eyes sting with tears. They have been like parents to me too. Molly was the one I went to when I needed advice about my changing body, and Rob has always been a steadying influence in my life. I am going to miss them as much as I will miss Suzie.

Molly places her hand over my belly, “Blair said he will make sure we are all here to welcome you pups into the world, but if you need us, we are just a phone call away.

I hug them tight and can’t fight the tears anymore. Sobbing into her shoulder, its like losing my parents all over again. Molly rubs my back and sooths me.

“I always knew you were special, my little love, but the woman you have become has astonished me. We are so proud of you, my darling, and if mum and dad were here they would be too.”

I watch as they get into the cars, Suzie leaps out and grabs Max and I. “I love you both so much, keep each other safe.” then she gets bask in the car and they pull away from the packhouse.

Lexi holds me as we watch their cars drive away from us.letting me cry as one of my best friends leaves to start an adventure of her own.

I hear sniffing behind me and grinned, as Olly cuddles max while her body shudders with tears. He is gently stroking her hair, whispering to her.

Maybe Suzie was on to something there. I will have to keep an eye on them. Lex whispers in my ear, “he has had a serious crush on Max since we were like 8 years old, but never had the courage to ask her out.”

I grinned, “Suzie had suggested that they could be mates. Speaking of mates, have you spoken to Aiden? How are they doing? With everything going on I have hardly seen Jess since Friday.”

“He is good, trying to give her space and not crowd her, he is nuts about little Starlight. Jess let him take her to meet the warriors the other day. He is a very proud daddy.”

Lexi lifted me up and carried me upstairs, “but enough gossiping, it’s time for your nap baby, you know our pups don’t like it when you are tired, and we are finally going on our date tonight.” kissing his chin, I grinned at him, “are you going to join me Alpha?”

He lays me on our bed and k****s me softly, “the idea is that you sleep, baby, I know if I get in with you, you will be a naughty fairy, and you will get no sleep.”

He tucks me in and k****s my head, “Lexi?”

“yes baby.”

“Where are you taking me for our date?”

He chuckles and taps his nose as he walks out , meanie Alpha, I can’t wait to spend some one-on-one time with my Alphas, it seems like so long ago that I had my date with Ashton.

As I fall asleep I imagine what Lex has planned for us.

“Tink…..it’s time to wake up princess, you have to get ready for your date.”

I blink and squint as Ace’s face comes into focus, “what time is it?”

“Nearly 4pm,” I felt the bed bounce and turn to see Ash getting under the covers for a snuggle. Ace sits me up and leans me back onto Ashton’s chest, then climbs in the other side of me.

Once we are comfy, Ace hands me a mug if ginger tea. Amanda swears it is great for morning sickness, and even though I haven’t really had any yet, I love the taste, so it has become my substitute for coffee.

“Where is Lexi?” Ash k****s my neck, “he has some errands to run before your date and he thought we would like some time to say goodbye to you. You are going to be gone till tomorrow night, and we are going to miss you angel.”

Finishing my tea, I handed the cup back to Ace and pulled him onto my chest. I kissed his hair as he snuggled into my boobs. “Do you guys know what he has planned? He won’t tell me, but we can’t really leave the territory so I am stumped.”

Ash chuckles behind me, “we are not telling you anything, this is his surprise. He tugged on my hair, making my head fall back so he could k**s my lips.

Ash reaches behind him an places a plate full of sandwiches in front of me, “You need to eat before we take you to Lex angel, you will be having dinner late. So eat up.”

Now I am very curious, what has my warrior got planned for us? I eat my sandwiches and then my Alphas pulled me from the bed. I turned to head to the closet, about to ask what I should wear, but Ace stopped me.

“You are fine in what you are wearing, princess, Lex has everything you are going to need. Okay, now I am really confused.

My husbands each take a hand and we leave the suite and head for the stairs. I am expecting Lex to be waiting at the bottom but he is nowhere in sight. His scent is very faint, so he has not been in the packhouse for hours.

My Alpha’s both chuckle at my confused look, and pull me outside and across the green to the forest. We walk for about ten minutes when they stop, and k**s me.

“This is going to be the last chance you have to shift and let Saffy run. The pups are growing and it will soon be unsafe for them. Lex thought you would enjoy a run with him tonight.”

I hug my men and they point at the ground to my left. There are rose pestles scattered on the floor, Ace grabs my face and k****s me. Just follow the path Tink, I love you, and will see you tomorrow.”

He spins me around and Ash pulls me to him, giving me a searing k**s, “have a wonderful night Starlight, I love you angel.” and then they are gone.
