The Alphas And The Orphan

Star’s POV

Watching Suzie run from Blain after giving him a knee in the nuts, I f*****g told him to go easy with her; I follow her with my eyes as she chooses the room.

She is grabbed by that Kai douche on her way out, there is something off about that boy, he and his mum transferred to our pack about six months ago. Something about his dad being a violent prick, I think.

Max has pushed him off of her and is walking her out, Suzie’s shoulders are slumped and it looks like she is crying.

I look around the ballroom and lock eyes with Ace, blowing him a k**s, I point at the retreating backs of my best friends, and give him a wave, smiling he nods in understanding, sending hiss own k**s back, and I follow my girls.

When I find them in the drawing room, Suzie is crying her heart out. Rushing over, I pull my friend into my arms. “I’m so sorry Star, I’m ruining your day!”

Stroking her hair as her body shakes with her sobs, “shush baby girl, you aren’t ruining anything, why don’t you tell me what’s going on, mmm?”

“I slept with Kia. He told me he knew I was his mate, that he sensed the bond since his birthday, and as he has beta b***d, I believed him. I was so desperate to find my mate that I f*****g believed him.”

Her sobs get loader, “I’ve ruined everything, gave away the gift that was meant for my mate, and now I am spoilt goods. And it was really horrible. He made me feel really dirty.”

“Baby, you are not spoilt goods. I promise your mate will understand, and to be honest, he, like my boys, he has probably had a past of his own, so he will have no right to judge you.”

Max sighs into her shoulder. “Star is right, honey.”

“But…now Blain says I’m his mate. He told me yesterday, but I don’t believe him. What if he is just trying to f**k me like Kia?”

Cupping her cheeks, I force her to look at me, “Blair has told me and the boys that you are his mate, he is not lying Suzie, he is a f*****g mess, he will have to go back to his pack before your birthday in 2 weeks, that’s why he wanted you to know.”

“I just don’t want to make another mistake, like I did with Kia f*****g Jessop.”

I blink. What did she say? Kia Jessop? Could it just be a coincidence? He couldn’t be related to Alpha Jessop AKA Barton Miller, the a*****e we are trying to lead to Greece?

“What pack did Kia come from? Do you know?”

Max frowns. “I don’t think he ever said. He told us about his dad being a beta, and that he abused his mum. You’ve met his mum, Star. She works in the kitchens. She brought our breakfast up this morning. Her name is Evie, and you can tell she has had a hard life. She is so timid and jumpy.”

“Guys, I need to speak to the guys. I could be paranoid, but the fucker has the same name as the a*****e that’s chasing me. His alias anyway.”

Both of the girls stare at me, I look at the clock 16:57, we have an hour till the Alpha and Luna ceremony, I mind link my husbands, “darlings we may have a problem can you grab both our dads and meet me in the office upstairs, get Olly and the guys to grab Kia and Evelyn Jessop and bring them to the office as well.”

“we are on our way baby,”

“Ladies, Can you stay with the guests and if we are not out by half past, give the announcement to head to the ceremony, and link me at quarter to six?”

They nod. I look at Suzie, “I am going to make him pay for what he has done to you baby, ok?”

I run upstairs to the office, my husbands, father- and father-in-law walk in behind me.

Lex pulls me to him, “what’s going on, baby?”

I will explain about Kia and Suzie.

Andrew growled and said he will banish him.

I stop him when I tell him Kia’s last name, “s**t, it didn’t even cross my mins.”

“I just think it is worth asking some questions.”

“Ok Luna, you run the show ask the questions you want to ask and then we can ask anything we think has been missed.”

The door opens and Evelyn and Kia walk in surrounded by our warriors. Evelyn looks like she is going to cry, her hands are shaking.

Kai just looks angry.

“Please take a seat. I have a few questions for you.”

“Been married for a few f*****g hours and you think you run the place?”

Growling erupted around the room, I silence them with my hand, then look Kia in the eye.

I push my aura toward him. He crumples under the weight. I make the bulb in the lamp next to him explode.

“Let me make things very clear Mr Jessop, even without marrying the Alphas, when it comes to you, I am in charge, you are my little b***h and I am your daddy, now as you are about to s**t yourself let’s make sure we understand each other, Am I in charge?” He nods, “I ramp it up a little, “The answer is ‘yes daddy.”

“Yes, daddy.” I release him and turn back to the men in the room.

I wink at them. Lex links me. “Baby, that was sexy as f**k. I will definitely call you daddy anytime you want.”

Rolling my eyes at him, I turn back to our two guests. Everyone else takes a seat, confident that I can handle this on my own.

“Evelyn Jessop, right?” She nods, “you asked Alpha Andrew for sanctuary 6 months ago right,” again she nods, “at the time you didn’t tell the Alpha the name of the pack you were running from, claiming you were to scared,” thanks Alpha for that tidbit, I love mind links.

“I am now asking you to reveal your old pack.”

Her eyes go wide and she shakes her head. I can see she is terrified.

This is not an act. I crouch before her and soften my voice.

“Evie, a lot has happened recently, as well as the attack on the pack, rogues coordinated two simultaneous attacks on Alpha Liam and on myself and our future Alphas, so I need to know what pack you are running from.”Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.

“Shut up, you stupid b***h,” Kia lifts his hand to strike her, but I punch him in the throat before he connects.

I motion for Olly and Aiden to move him away and hold him.

“Evelyn, I think you have had men bullying you for long enough, don’t you? Now is your pack called Hollow Moon? And is your mate called Barton Miller, AKA Alpha Jessop?”

Her eyes go wide with surprise, then she nods, “he made Kia come here to watch the pack, he thought a special wolf may have been hiding here, I was to say that I was running from an abusive mate, he thought it was funny, because it was true. I was only here to act as a cover story for Kia.”

Nodding, I move over to Kia, “so you told him about the storm the night of my first shift?” He stares at me, so I hit him with my aura again and shout, “ANSWER ME!”

“Yes, I was told to report anything strange to him. He had a picture of a woman who looked like you, so I stayed close.”

“Is that why you convinced Miss Hammond that she was your mate? It would have been enough to just befriend her. Wouldn’t it get into our group?”

He smirks at me, “I didn’t want to get that close to you, I fancied her, but she is one of those good, goody types, has to save her first k**s and every other first for their destined mate, it’s f*****g pathetic.”

Growls fill the room again. I smile at him, “you know how girls love to talk, right? She came crying to me and Max said it was the s*x was so bad she couldn’t wait to turn 18 just so she could reject you. I mean, I’ve never heard of a wolf with a tiny c**k before.”

He runs for me and I conjure a wind funnel and throw him int a wall, I look at the warriors, “take them away we will deal with them tomorrow, put Evelyn in one of the nicer cells far away from that piece of shit.”

“Yes Luna.”

looking at the men in the room, “ok let’s go, I need to change my dress before the ceremony.”

I head out of the door, the five men on my heels
