The Alphas And The Orphan

Ace’s POV

After saying goodnight to Star, we gather all the men and head out of the mansion. My brothers and I have planned a quiteish gathering in our suite, and have stocked the bar with booze, we are only expecting about fifteen guys in total.

At least that was the plan but our best men, Kurtis and Jonah along with our groomsmen Oliver, Simon, Aiden and Jasper, have invited the 30 Scottish warriors as well, I don’t really mind as they are all friends of Liam’s, but 45 men in our suite, Star is going to freak if the break anything.

We follow them to the training grounds, a huge marqueehas been erected and is decked out with lights, a DJ booth and a bar. There are tables set up and there are already people dancing.

“f**k guys, did you invite the whole f*****g pack? Why are there girls here, dudes? This is supposed to be a quiet drink with the guys before the biggest day of our lives.”

Kurtis looks at me and mouths sorry, Lex glares at the boys, “all girls are gone now, I can see several from here who would like to mess with Star, and I really don’t think you want to ruin your Luna’s day do you?”

As if to prove a point, arms wrap around my waist, “hello Alpha, I have missed you so much, I hardly see you anymore.” f*****g Sasha. I pull her hands off me in disgust and push her away.

I glare at Oliver, “get rid of the trash,” Olly goes to grab her, but she evades him, and starts screaming, “Trash? You take a girl’s virginity and then drop her? call her trash? Is that the kind of Alpha we need?”

Ash grabs her arm, “f**k off Sasha, you have f****d half of the pack, Star has already told you to back the f**k off, this is a private party, to celebrate our marriage to the only woman we will ever love and want, so leave before you disrespect the wrong Alpha.”

She storms off. “this is not the end. Star will never be our Luna,”

She is grabbed and pinned to the bar. Blair is in her face. “DID YOU JUST THREATEN MY COUSIN?” His hand is wrapped around her neck, not squeezing, just holding her in place, “who are you?” She is frozen in fear.

He leans in nose to nose with her, and in a low menacing voice he says, “and why would I give my name to the pack slut, the only thing girls like you are good for is sucking my c**k,” sniffing her he grimaced, “but as I can smell several wolves on your breath, I think I’ll pass. Now get your stinking slut p***y out of here.”

He lets her go, and she stumbles away, before she gets far though he calls to her, “hey slut! A word of warning: go after my cousin and I will rip you apart, limb by limb. Are we clear?”

She nods, tears streaming down her face. The music had stopped when Sasha started yelling, I look at my friends, “guys I know you meant well but this is the last thing we wanted, everyone can stay but it’s your job to keep the sluts away ok?”

“Yes Alpha, we are sorry. We only invited the warriors, and we didn’t want to leave the female warriors out, but word must have got around. We’ll keep everyone away. But to be honest, I think Blair has frightened the s**t out of everyone.”

After that, things calmed down and everyone relaxed, we danced, we laughed, and best of all, no one else tried to get touchy feely with me or my brothers.

I did notice my four unmated friends on a personal mission to f**k as many girls as possible.

By 1 am the crowd had thinned out. The music is now just a playlist set as background and we are all sitting around chatting. Ash has given up and is lying with his head on my lap, lightweight.

Dad is holding court at the table next to ours, filled with the older guys, the table is littered with bottles of highland single malt that Liam said his family drank.

Blair comes and sits beside me, “I wanted to apologise for my behaviour earlier, I should have let you guys handle it, but that mate of yours has become important to all of us, Liam has been a broken man for most of my life, so him finding Star has brought joy to the whole family.”

I grin at him. “Star is just as lucky to find you guys. She has not had the easiest of lives.”

“She is very special, I spoke to her earlier, she is the true heir to our pack, so I wanted to see how she felt about me taking her place, she laughed at me, told me not to be stupid, that it’s my pack not hers, this is her pack, and she has her hands full enough with you three.” I laugh at that.

Lex joins us at the table. “Blair, I have been wanting to ask you something. Liam said your dad was his cousin, but you call Elsie and Duncan your grandparents, but Harris…….” he shrugs his shoulders.

Blair chuckles, “The story of the Danvers men is not a happy one, apart from papa Duncan that is, so I will try to explain it. We may need more whiskey, though.”

Lex leans over to dad’s table and steals a full bottle, grinning, as dad shouts, “Alexei, you f*****g thief.”

Blair clears his throat.

“Ok, so Harris and Duncan are brothers. Duncan met Elsie, and they mated and had Angus and Liam. Harris was mated to a human, her name was Izzy, her family disapproved, but they mated anyway, and had my dad Alasdair, Izzy couldn’t handle the life of the werewolf, so she rejected Harris and abandoned my father.”

“f**k man, that’s horrible” he nods at Lex in agreement.

“Papa Harris and my dad moved in with Duncan and Elsie and they became parents to dad, especially Elsie, and Harris became a second father to Liam and Angus. Cousins as close as brothers.”

He sighs, “then my mother, her name was Sara. She was always a selfish person. Her parents had died when she was young and her grandparents spoilt her. After her and dad had me, she wanted more. Dad was just a cousin to the future Alpha. In her mind, he was not good enough for her. So one night, she entered Angus’s room and climbed into his bed, completely naked, he kicked her out telling her to go back to her husband.”

His hands are shaking as he tells the story, “Liam was on a trip to Greece at the time, the trip he found Thalia. My b***h of a mother stabbed Angus in the heart because he rejected her. Papa Duncan had to sentence her to death and Liam became Alpha. So Elsie is my Mamo and both Duncan and Harris are my papas. Liam is my uncle. Does that make sense?”

Sighing, I pat him on the shoulder. “Dude, that’s so f*****g rough. Let’s hope you have more luck.”

He chuckles. “I think I will, my mate is here, but she is not of age yet.” I look at him in shock, but Lex snickers, “yeah, Suzie won’t be 18 for a couple of weeks.” Blair looks at him in shock, “oh please, you look at her exactly how me and these two nobs looked at star before she was of age,”
