The Alpha Vampire

Chapter 213 Taking The Hunt To The Big Apple

It is said that it is near damn impossible to hunt an Angel.

If you find yourself being one, then you can sense the power of another from miles away. Well, none of us present in the kitchen are one. This is going to make finding Breyden and Lilith rather difficult. The only way that we shall find them is if we have knowledge of the places that Breyden holds dear to heart, and I somehow think that he is not about to take Lilith to the States, in fact, the very place that means a great deal to him in New York City.Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

So the question here among the Winchester brothers is only one, “Are we heading to the Big Apple?” I hear as a very enthusiastic Dean speaks from where he is sitting in the corner. His brother Sam is scanning the news for any strange killings that have happened in the past hour.

Now I have not heard the end of wasting the past hour, as Dean, so shamelessly said, I was punishing my beloved. Well, perhaps I was. But as I left the room, she was still very much ready for another round, though my attention is required here, and I am sure I will be beheaded if I waste yet another minute.

This brings us then to this minute then, “So,” Dean starts again as he starts twirling his Angel blade around. Yes, the man has it out for Breyden. Apart from being used to hating me, Dean has always had a soft spot for Lilith, as most men have. I can safely say that he is going to kill Breyden when we finally find him. And with that, he moves his chair back and starts walking towards the door, “If none of you are going to answer, then I am voting yes.” Then he pauses for a brief moment, “Unless if you can find that other Angel that should be around.”

Well, we all know that is just going to be as near damn impossible as our first one, so we find ourselves, the group of Misfits heading with luggage, need I say it is suitcases that are filled with weapons, so in hand with it, we make our way toward the front door. But just as I am about to reach for the doorknob, I sense her.

“Cassidy, you may come down.”

She shyly comes moving down the stairs in the tightest goddamn fucking red leather pants that I have laid my eyes on. I do not even focus on the top that only covers her breasts, for I am, and including every man in the room are staring at her ass.

“My beloved, that is rather distracting.”

Then Dean pulls me by the arm, “Oh no, you don’t. Can you keep your hands, or should I say keep it in your pants long enough until we find Lilith?”

I only but grunt at him as I let Cassidy hook her arm through my shoulder, and as we exit through the front door, I lean in closer and softly whisper in her ear, “I am glad that you came along. But you know…”

“Yes,” Dean, who has been listening, interrupts me before I can whisper another word, “Yes, she disobeyed you, and it is yet another excuse for you to punish her, but god, please do not punish our ears.”

I only but wave him off as Cassidy and me join them in the back of the Impala while Roberto, Damien, and our Vampire Hunter follow behind. Apart from an intense battle that lies ahead, the mood is fairly chirpy for a bunch of Misfits that are on their way to a City that some of us have never seen.

Well, let me tell you. I have stories. And I have mistresses to go along with each one of them. In fact, the very Damien has a far greater reputation in New York than the Vampire Master has. I can almost bet that it is the reason for the rather smirky face I saw as he got into the car.

But this is not a vacation or a road trip but the quest to find my dear sister and rescue her from an Angel that has gone rogue. I will honestly admit that the man is only trying to protect her, but he could have let her remain here while we try to save her life. For all, I know, and I do not even wish to think about it, but she might even have passed by now.

That is a thought that I am not going to entertain, so I clear my head from all that is sounding bad at present and think of the task at hand. Turning to Sam, while Cassidy is dangerously moving her hand up my leg, I only gasp as I call for his attention. “Sam, how do you suppose we find an Angel in a City where there is so much crime already? How will we know which one Breyden has committed?”

“Well,” Sam looks over his shoulder at me and only smiles, “Sex seems to make you stupid. But the answer to that ridiculous question is, what is Breyden going to need?”

I only but grunt at him as I have the need to snap my fangs, yet the calming sensation, if that is what my dear beloved is doing to my…

“Lucas!” I hear Sam yell as he is still busy speaking to me. “I will guess disappearances. That is the only way that he is going to get the blood to Lilith.”

“Why just not steal blood from the bank,” I hear our little thief of the night next to me say.

“Cassidy,” Sam only but chuckles at her. “You know that blood is not as good as fresh blood. Now, if we can find an area where there is an increase of people going missing, then I can almost certainly say that we have found Breyden.”

I look at him as I slightly cock my head with a tinge of amusement on my face, “And what about the bit where you cannot certainly say?”

“Well,” next is Dean taking his eyes off the road for a brief moment as he looks over his shoulder and winks at me, “That is the part where you are fucked.”

“Are you two boys not just a bunch of charmers? How the hell do you find half of these monsters anyway?”

“The news,” Sam says as he points at the screen of a small laptop that he has not taken his eyes off. “We follow the clues that the news gave us, and of course, if other Hunters has come across the problem and need our help.”

“Okay, fair,” I acknowledge him as he returns to staring at the screen, flipping through each website to the other. And then, completely off guard, I catch them, “So what happened to your friend?”

Sam immediately stops what he is doing and stares me right in the eyes, not knowing what I am speaking of, but it is Dean that abruptly cuts me off before I can repeat myself, “He left. He was pissed off, so he left.”

I cannot help but chuckle at him, “Was it you, or was it Sam?”

Sam only but points in Dean’s direction, “Who else pisses everybody off. But anyway, we don’t know where he is, so he can’t help us in any case.”

“But can’t you find him on that computer thing of yours?”

“No!” I hear as Dean’s voice comes through loud and strong from the front. “Even if I knew where he was, I would not ask him for his help.”

“But…” I still try to push ahead.

“No!” Dean’s answer comes vibrating through the car once again.

Sam only but shakes his head and whispers softly so that his brother cannot hear, “I will try and find him if we cannot find Breyden first.”

With that, the atmosphere in the car has gone from joyful to slightly tense. Not only is the tension of the battle that lies ahead thick on our heads, but there are broken relationships that seem to need some mending. Not just between Breyden and me but between Dean and his friend. But we have learned by now that one should not push Dean in doing anything that he does not want, so we will let this lie, and Sam will one day convince him to do otherwise.

But else I cannot do , is to put my sister’s life at stake here as for at the present moment, I have no idea how she is finding her health. I truly hope that Breyden has not gone to the lengths to try and heal her himself. I do know that she is in good hands, but she is our family, she is a Vampire, and she belongs at her home with Damien and me.

Breyden is breaking the Vampire Code.

We look after our own.

It is my fault that I have let an Angel in the sanctuary of our home.

So in true fact, it is me that will have to stand for this. If I were not in charge of enforcing the Vampire Code, then I would have let myself stand for Council.

But that is the mistake that comes with being the Master.

Though I wipe these thoughts from my head as we get out of the car at the Airport. We are readying ourselves for the eight-hour flight to New York City. The mood has once grown to excitement amongst the Misfits again.

Only I am the one that still feels frightened to the core.

See, I might have had my string off mistresses while a stay in the City, but I did make a rather big enemy, and he will be coming for me the moment he becomes aware of my presence.

This will not only be a battle for Lilith’s life, but it might become one for my own.
