Chapter 181 The Queen Of Demons
Beauty, they say, lies in the eye of the beholder; well, all I can see is a woman that is rotten to the core. Now, I believe that in all my eternity, I would never meet the woman that my mother spoke of so often. As children, they try to scare you rather shitless with things such as the Devil, well, along him comes this woman.
Now, this is not my Lilith; this Lilith is one that comes straight from the belly of Hell.
And it is this very thing that Dean finds so amusing to mention, “Is your husband not looking for you?”
“You have always been the funnier one between the two Winchester boys; now tell me, how long has it been?”
“Oh,” Dean only but laughs from the depths of his chest as this is giving him great pleasure, “It would be a couple of hundred years where you come from.”NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
“I have never been one to tell the time,” Lilith says rather confidently as she sweeps her black hair away from her shoulder, “As you can see fair well, it has been treating me rather well.”
Getting somewhat annoyed with the idle chatter, my last bit of restraint snaps, “Can we leave the novelties for a day when my wife is not being dragged through town by some godawful monsters.”
Lilith’s eyes only but grows wider at the mention of Cassidy, “Do you have a wife?”
“Yes, my dear, who else do you think those things have? My goddamn sister? Now please explain to me what you are doing here, for I do frankly do not have more time to run around and hunt another creature that has decided to set its filthy feet in my city.”
With nothing but the sweep of her hands, every single of Roberto’s army that found itself behind her has been turned to dust. Then she steps forward, and under what can almost be said as the voice of an Angel, she fumbles over her words, “Well, I am perhaps the one that managed to let that thing slipped through the gates of Hell.”
“Oh, just fantastic,” I hear Dean only but erupt in anger, then next, the big question is, “Do you know how to get it out of Lucas’s brother.”
She looks at Dean in complete shock, “You want to tell me that the beast has possessed a Vampire?”
“Oh my god, Lilith, you are even dumber than the last time I defeated you. What do you think those things next to you were?”
“Don’t get so excited, Dean; I thought the man was just using Vampires as his army.”
Then Dean, not that it would make much of a difference, grabs an even firmer grip on his dagger, “Listen here, Lilith, is there something more than what we should be concerned about here?”
“Yes, my dear Dean, but lucky for you, the man has possessed the wrong Vampire.”
Dean only but snaps at her as this story is starting to drag out, then, next, “What do you mean that he has possessed the wrong Vampire?”
“He is supposed to have possessed the other Lecarde brother. The very charming one that finds himself in front of me, which, I can sense, is somewhat different.” Then she pauses for a brief moment, then with a rather seductive smile, she starts to circle me, creeping every bone in me; as she speaks, I get slightly annoyed, “So tell me, Lucas, have you found that legacy of yours yet?”
And that is me, “Please do tell me that you know what it is that you are speaking of?”
“Oh, you will find out soon enough. Now take me to my little pet so that I can be on my way home before my husband finds out that I have let his spawn out again.”
With much irritation, we find ourselves back in the Impala again, and to make it even worse, Sam thinks it is far better for this woman to ride with us. Now I do not trust her for one single moment; the only thing I want from those deep cherry lips are the very words that tell me what this legacy is that all of them are referring to.
Now yes, I do seem to have a few things, such as a beating heart, a little thing called a soul, and few other perfectly working parts that no other Vampire posses. Yet, how does this make me a legacy? I am already the most powerful Vampire there is, with the added advantage of being the Vampire Master.
So to say that I am getting slightly annoyed with the mention of the word would be a slight understatement. And the other one that is getting just as frustrated is my beloved; she knows that I am almost just as human but a far more superior Vampire, and the thought that I can be even more is scaring her beyond that she will ever truly admit.
And thus, I am now drawing this line, the next person that mentions that very word will receive a dagger straight through his heart, and I do frankly not care whom it will be that finds himself at the other end.
But another end that has now come up we are approaching the back of what Dean is now referring to as the mob. And as I stretch my head, I can see Cassidy still bopping up and down in the middle. It gives me a great relief, but I know the biggest battle is yet to come. We might be able to free her from the clutches of the Vampires, but we still need to get that thing out of my brother, and it is with this in mind that a glance over my shoulder at Lilith.
“Please tell me once again, as you did not answer me the first time, do you know how to get your little pet out of my brother.”
She looks at me rather dumbstruck, then she turns to Sam, “Don’t you boys have the Colt?”
“Yes, about that one,” Dean starts to mumble underneath his breath.
Lilith needs not even let him finish, and she bursts out in laughter, “You lost it? Please explain to me how?”
I only but growl at her, “There is no time for fucking stories. Now I have had enough. We should have gotten this damn battle over a long time ago. Now answer my damn question.”
“Oh,” she only but shrugs her shoulders, “I only but kill you all then he cannot possess another.”
“Perfect plan, please can we try one where we all are not dying.”
She looks over her shoulder at Jacob that is still following with Alatar, then she returns her glance over to Dean, “You three boys can come up with the perfect spell. Well, I will not call that man behind us a boy, but he looks pretty capable of using his wisdom.”
With her plan being exactly the same as ours, I shake my head in frustration, “Are you truly just a pretty face?”
“No, Lucas, I kill; I don’t leave things alive. As I said, I can kill you all, but since you are helping me, I will let you live.”
As I grind on my teeth, I listen to every thought that races through that little head, and yes, the woman is pure evil, she has no regard for any of us, and she is confirming that over and over again as she keeps considering it as her back-up plan.
So we are pretty screwed either way, yet, screwed is coming up in only a few meters, as I see where we are finding ourselves, “Perfect, I cemetery.”
And in the far-off distance between all the tombstones, there is the silhouette of what I know belongs to Roberto. Slowly his mob closes in on his location, and then in one giant leap, I see him reach out.
Next, with utmost horror, he has Cassidy locked in his arms.
