Chapter 207 True Identity
Everyone present was caught off guard by Caspian suddenly opening fire.
Kate had also fallen onto the ground following the gunshot.
To everyone’s surprise, Kate was unharmed.
Caspian had shot the ground instead of killing her.
Kate had fainted on the ground and took a minute to regain her consciousness.
Caspian felt much better after watching her faint on the ground and thinking that she had died.
He coldly asked, “Tell me! Why do you treat Willow so badly?”
Kate was still trembling with fear as she woke up in a confused state. She had only managed to confirm
that she was still alive when Caspian shouted at her.
She felt that she had come back to life after dying once.
Kate took a long time before coming back to her senses.
“Willow… isn’t actually my own daughter.”
She finally spilled the truth out of fear.
She was afraid that Caspian might kill her for real.
Caspian was surprised that his intuition about Willow and Kate not being biologically related
was correct.
“Was Willow adopted?” asked Caspian.
“I’m her stepmother. Her real biological mother is a woman called Irene Olson. She left the Stewarts aft
er she gave birth to Willow,” answered Kate.
“Why did she leave the family for no reason?”
“She was actually kicked out of the house by Carl’s grandmother, who’s also Willow’s great- grandmoth
er. She was the matriarch of the family at the time.”
Caspian was utterly confused. “Why did Willow’s great–grandmother do that?”
He still needed more information from Kate.
“She felt that Irene was not a great match for her grandson and thus kicked her out of the house. Irene

he Stewarts‘.
“Willow’s great–grandmother felt that bringing Irene into the family was a disgraceful act.”
TM
Caspian was enraged by the revelation.
“This is ridiculous! Who do the Stewarts think they are? They’re just a bunch
of scums that take advantage of everyone they can lay their hands on for their own benefit! Every singl
e one of the Stewarts is unsalvageable trash!”
He didn’t expect that Willow had such a twisted backstory.
He co
composed himself and asked, “So, where’s Willow’s biological mother now?”
Kate explained, “I don’t know. She used to live in Easton. Carl had tried to look for her multiple times si
nce she left the family. I’ve even gotten into an argument with Carl for this matter, calling him unfaithful f
or still trying to contact his former wife.”
She was truly spilling her guts out without holding onto any more secrets. She was hoping for a chance
to be freed.
“I’ve told you everything I know. Please, let me go.”
She didn’t want to die just yet.
“Sure. Consider this as thanks for raising Willow throughout her life.”
He understood that killing Kate wouldn’t change history and wouldn’t bring Lilith back from the dead.
He decided to spare Kate’s life as she had also never expected Lilith to be met with an early grave after
kicking her out of the house that night.
“Can I go now?” asked Kate.
She didn’t dare to move without Caspian’s permission.
Caspian coldly explained, “You may go after you’ve apologized to my mother!”
Kate immediately crawled toward Lilith’s tombstone and began to grovel desperately.
“I’m sorry, Lilith! It’s my fault for kicking you out of the house that night! Maybe you wouldn’t have died o
therwise! I only hope that you’ll forgive me and move on!
Caspian felt relieved as he watched Kate grovel for mercy in front of Lilith’s tombstone.
“That’s enough. Get lost already. I don’t want anyone to hear about what happened here today.
Kate nodded and scrambled to escape from the cemetery.
Both Sylvia and Macy let out a sigh of relief as they watched Caspian spare Kate’s life.
“Caspian, what are your orders?” asked Sylvia.
“I need you to restore Ms. Wildman’s job as a teacher. Kindly ask the education ministry officials why th
ey decided to fire such an excellent teacher like Ms. Wildman!”
Sylvia nodded her head. “Yes, sir!”
Caspian moved on to his next task, which was to deal with Belvin and Jeremy.
Meanwhile, Avon had arrived at Stephanie’s home to check up on her parents.
Now that Stephanie’s problems were resolved, Veronica had fully recovered from her momentary insanit
Both Lana and Elias had also made a full recovery.
Everyone involved had resumed their normal lives.
Stephanie had invited Avon to her house to show gratitude..
Avon accepted the invitation as he felt bad for declining such an enthusiastic invitation from Stephanie.
He joined the Wildmans for a meal at the dining table, and they began to chatter.
“Dr. Long, how old are you? Do you have a partner?” asked Veronica.
“I’m 28 years old… And I don’t have a partner,” answered Avon.
He was taken aback by the sudden questioning.
“That’s perfect! What do you think of our daughter? You’re around the same age. Why don’t the two of y
Avon awkwardly answered, “Huh? Well… Ms. Wildman is very pretty and has a nice
personality. I’m sure she’s famous with her peers.”
Stephanie patted Veronica on the back to try and stop her from causing trouble for Avon.
Avon and Stephanie met each other’s gaze and felt a tinge of electrocution run through their hearts.
He had quite a good impression of Stephanie as he had never managed to meet a gentle woman like he
The only problem was that he didn’t dare try to make any advances on Caspian’s teacher.
Elias tried to steer the conversation away. “That’s enough. Please, eat up!”
Everyone continued to enjoy the meal.
Avon couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if Caspian found out that he was trying to
