Tasting The Enemy

Chapter 17

Elaine POV

“Dove, let her go, so I can talk to her,” Azaire asked again.

Dove was in a stubborn mood. She rarely got out to play and now our mate wanted us to shift. He would have to beg a lot better than that. Dove rolled onto her back and stuck her tongue out playfully.

Azaire growled. “This isn’t a joke.”

He looked funny to me upside down. He balled his hands fists at his side and stepped forward. Just when he was about to reach me I leapt off the rock and ran to the nearest tree.

“Just wait until I get my hands on you,” he grumbled.

Dove stuck her tongue again playfully.

“I went to your house.”

Dove snapped her mouth shut. Okay, that’s not funny.

“Elaine, you deal with him,” Dove said.

You traitor! I scolded her through our link. I shifted back into my normal self. Azaire shoved his hands into his pocket and stared down at me. His mesmerizing drank me in from the top of my head to my toes. I wrapped my arms over my bare chest. I should have brought clothes to change into but I didn’t expect to run into my mate out here.

“You did what?” I yelled and my voice echoed.

He marched towards me and held out his hand. He yanked me off the ground and stripped me out of his jacket. He placed the jacket over my shoulder.

“I had to make sure you were okay. What happened?”

“Why wouldn’t I be okay?” I stared up at him.

“I knew you were in danger, now what happened?”

The mate bond, of course, I thought. I backed up and looked at the ground.

“I…uh…nothing.”

He lifted my chin to meet his gaze. “Look me in the eyes and say that again.”

I bit my bottom lip. “I had an argument with my Dad that’s all. It got pretty bad. I’m fine now.”

“So bad he locked you in your room?” he barked.

“Azaire, you shouldn’t have gone to my house. Don’t you realize our packs hate each other? I can’t even count how many times the Blood Moon Pack has attacked my pack.”

“Wait, wait, I know you’re not blind to the actions of your pack. It’s like a game for you people.”

I folded my arms over my chest and rolled my eyes. “Us people, huh?”

“Yes, Black Claw scum,” he spat.

“Oh yeah? You’re nothing but Blood Moon tyrants!”

“Is that the best you can come up with Elaine?”

“I can come up with much more colourful names but I am a nice girl!”

Azaire grabbed my wrists in an instant.

“Nice girl huh?” He raised his brow challengingly.

I gulped.

He abandoned my wrists and quickly hoisted me off the ground. I wrapped my legs around his waist and gripped his shoulders. My heart slammed forward and my eyes turned to saucers.

His hands ran along my sandy thighs. I shivered and shut my eyes. Azaire made contact with my neck. He savagely devoured my neck and teased me with little bites. I pressed my body against his in at attempt to feel his swollen member against his jeans.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

“I want to mark you so badly,” he said, caressing his lips down my shoulder.

“Yes! I mean no, you can’t,” I pushed him back.

“Yeah, I know.” He let me go. “You should go home.”

I looked up at the bright full moon. “I want to go for another run.”

“It’s dangerous out here, Elaine. Go home.”

I crossed my arms and smirked. “You may be my fated mate but you’re not the boss of me.”

He grinned and his sexy smile was capable of turning me into a puddle.

“You choose Elaine, I either throw you over my shoulder and march you back home or you go willingly.”

Alpha males were overprotective it could be overbearing. Azaire grabbed my cheeks and dragged me to meet his lips. A fire formed at my core but there was nothing I could do about it.

“Goodnight, mate.”

I bit my bottom lip and stared at him longingly. That’s the end of that argument. I shifted and ran back home.

I got back into my room without anyone noticing. It wasn’t easy but since my wolf was active I had most of my heightened senses. I was fast and strong and my earing was great, but my healing was still slow. The wolf enhancers didn’t fix everything.

I stayed up most of the night working on the banner I promised to make for the football game Friday night. It was hard to concentrate when a fire raged between my legs. It was a fire only my fated mate could cool. I wondered if he felt the same way. I climbed into bed and tried to forget about Azaire and the ache I felt, but it was impossible!

I needed him. The mate bond was supposed to be consummated immediately when it wasn’t both wolves suffered. Azaire’s brownish-blond hair came into my mind’s eye. I craved his pink lips and his rough large hands.

“Azaire,” a soft moan escaped my lips.

I slipped my fingers into my pyjama shorts and rubbed my clit over my panties.

“Hmm.”

I could feel echoes of Azaire’s hands on my skin. I could feel him caressing my body. He explored every corner of my body with his lips. He took me in his protective embrace. His eyes held fire and desire. His stare told me he was about to take me to heaven.

I arched my back and pressed my fingers harder on my clit. The pleasure I gave myself couldn’t compare to what he could give me.

Waves of pleasure washed over me. I ran a hand up my belly and cupped my breast as I fiddled with my phone. A picture would help or I could call him.

“Ugh, he’s probably sleeping.”

It was nearly two in the morning I needed to sleep. Azaire might follow me to my dreams.
