Taming The CEO The Escaping Wife

Chapter 172

Chapter 172

The doctor pulled down his mask and continued, “Mr. Ramirez is still in danger. The wound on his arm is too deep, and the constant tugging has caused nerve damage. Besides, he’s lost too much blood, so… it’s a real pickle right now.”

Letitia knew that if he hadn’t pulled the knife out of his arm then, the injury wouldn’t have been this bad. Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

“So what do we do? How can we fix him up?”

“We doctors are gonna huddle up and hash out a treatment plan,” the doctor said. “For now, Mr. Ramirez needs to keep his arm still, no monkeying around.”

Hawley piped up, “Whatever it takes, keep Elgin’s arm in one piece!”

Elgin was the big cheese of the Ramirez family and the honcho of the Ramirez Group. If he ended up with a bum arm, he’d be the laughingstock!

Elgin was proud as a swagger, how could he stomach being physically impaired….

The doctor nodded, “We’ll pull out all the stops.”

The OR doors swung wide open, and the nurse wheeled out the gurney.

At just one glance, Letitia couldn’t bear to look anymore.

She’d never seen Elgin look so beat and downcast, his face ashen, his sharp features lacking their usual edge.

“Elgin…” Letitia wanted to step forward but was cut off by Hawley, who stepped in front of her.

“Stay away from him!” He shouted.

With an oxygen mask on and hooked up to IVs, Elgin was escorted by the nurse, getting further and further away, slowly fading from her sight…

All Letitia could do was watch helplessly.

Even touching him had become a luxury.

Hawley was about to dash off to the ward when something struck him, and he turned back to her, “Letitia, you’ve seen Elgin. Time for you to hit the road, right?”

“Okay.” She nodded. “I’ll get going.”

This place didn’t need her, and the Ramirez family sure didn’t want to see her.

Her sticking around was a burden, a dead weight.

“Letitia…” Vidonia looked at her. “You’re too easygoing, always saying yes.”

“Maybe Elgin and I are just not meant to be together.”

As for two people meant to cross paths, how come they started off on the wrong foot as enemies?

How come they became each other’s everything for one night, only for Shela to step in and mix things up, missing another shot by a hair?

How come after carrying a child and going through hell, it still ended in loss?

And how come… they both nearly lost their lives because of each other?

Letitia watched them disappear at the end of the corridor, slowly turning around, “Let’s go, back home.”

TIl arrange for a driver to take you,” Samson said. “Don’t overthink things and get some rest. I’ll keep you posted on any updates.”

Thanks, Mr. Stewart.
