Chapter 1539 Arrangements Of The Chu Clan
Chapter 1539 Arrangements Of The Chu Clan
"Oh my, what's going on?"
"It looks like he's killing Hurst!"
Many of the Chu Clan saw what was happening and were now even more frightened. It seemed Hurst
had really ticked off the powerful man and things were not going to end well for him.
"Ah!" Hurst screeched
as a sharp pain ran through his meridians as if he was being gutted with a knife.
He was just a ten-year-old child but only cried out once from such intense pain. He was a truly tough
kid, gritting his teeth and bearing it silently.
This went on for around a quarter of an hour before his suffering was gradually alleviated.
"Ah... What's happened to my meridians?"
The sharp pain had now disappeared, replaced by a sense of comfort he had never known before.
"You've done very well so far. You were born with a body perfect for martial arts. Your talent may only
be at level nine of the Earth Degree now, but in time you will become truly powerful," Darren said
nodding with satisfaction and pride. Hurst was much more talented than Darren had been at his age.
His talent had only been at the lowest level of the Yellow Degree when he was as old as Hurst was.
"What? How has he managed that?"
Everyone looked at the energetic child incredulous. He was not dead. In fact, he seemed to have
improved greatly.
Plus, the mysterious warrior had just said Hurst's talent was at level nine of the Earth Degree. That
couldn't be right. He must be mistaken! Hurst's talent was clearly at level one of the Yellow Degree.
"My...my talent is really at level nine of the Earth Degree?" Hurst couldn't believe it either. He was just
as astounded as everyone else was when he unblocked his meridians and found that his talent was
actually at the ninth level of the Earth Degree.
"Hurst, always remember that talent is important, but effort is indispensable. Especially for warriors like
you who possess an innate gift for martial arts. Someday your one single day of hard work might even
be more rewarding and worth others' one or even ten years. You understand, I'm sure," Darren said,
offering advice to the young Hurst.
Hurst now turned to Darren not with hostility, but respect.
"Thank you very much, sir. You've helped me a lot and I truly appreciate it," Hurst said, kneeling down
before Darren respectfully.
"Hey, I've told you that I'm an ancestor of the Chu Clan. You should be calling me differently." Darren
smiled faintly and turned to Belle. "Sister, do you have the clan token?"
"Of course," replied Belle. She pulled out the Chu Clan's token and flew up to them. "My name is Belle,
and I'm your ancestor as well. This is my brother Darren. You must heed his words."
"Wow! This is the ancestor Belle we've all heard so much about! This is amazing!"
They couldn't believe that the man before them was actually Darren. They knew Belle had been in the
Lothlann Continent this whole time. It was said that Belle had fought with the Danyun Clan for the Chu
Clan's sake. They had just never been strong enough to do anything themselves and they had never
seen Belle in the flesh.
When she revealed the clan token, everyone felt the strong aura of the Chu Clan bloodline coming from
Belle.
"Ah, this is no doubt our ancestor."
"It's nice to meet you, ancestor."
"Is this real? This is really happening! Both our ancestors Darren and Belle are here!"
Thousands of members of the Chu Clan fainted from the excitement.
Hurst was right at the front of the rest and now finally believed that Darren wasn't lying about who he
was. He was the ancestor he worshiped most!
He felt like he was dreaming. He had not only met his ancestor but had also gotten guidance from him.
This was incredible.
"Greetings to you, ancestor."
Hurst was very excited, but soon managed to calm himself.
"Rise. I have some cultivation methods here. I'll seal them in your mind for you. Whenever your
strength has increased enough, it'll automatically unlock the next level. You should focus on your
cultivation."
Darren used his Spirit Power as he spoke to send several impressive cultivation methods into Hurst's
mind.
"Thank you so much, ancestor! I can never express my gratitude enough." Hurst was overjoyed to
receive such a gift from Darren.
"Take the clan token and leave."
"Yes, ancestor, as you say." Hurst respectfully took the token and left.
The other descendants of the Chu Clan were dumbstruck. It took them a long time to realize what was
going on. When they finally snapped to, they too fell to their knees and kowtowed pitifully to Darren.
"Ancestor, would you be so kind as to give my child some cultivation methods as well? He works so
hard."
"Ancestor, I don't dare to expect anything from you. I just hope you might be able to save my father. He
has been paralyzed for many years. Please, I hope you can help him."
"Ancestor, please may I have some magic herbs? I want to get stronger. I want the Chu Clan to rise
back to its former glory."
Once they had learned of Darren's identity, everyone lost their minds, sniveling at his feet and begging
for everything they could imagine.
"Humph! What a greedy bunch!" Darren was displeased with how most of the juniors behaved; only
very few of them seemed decent and kind. The one who asked for his father to be treated seemed to
have a good heart.
When the people noticed Darren's anger, they dared not beg anymore and all quieted down.
"Everyone, listen up. You will live here in this territory of the Danyun Clan from now on. I will leave
some resources for you. Your patriarch will decide on the distribution.
In addition, I'll grant a few warriors the title 'grand-elder'; those who will keep the patriarch in check and
restrain him if need be. You, you and you, come here."
Darren chose a few powerful juniors of the Chu Clan. They seemed to be of good character and
strength.
"From now on, you are the grand-elders of the Chu Clan. You have to assist Hurst in managing the Chu
Clan and help him do it well. I hope that within a hundred years the Chu Clan will rise once more. But
remember; never bully the good and never be afraid of evil. Do you understand?" Darren said sternly.
"Yes, ancestor!"
"Alright then. Here are the resources I promised. Hold on to them yourselves." Darren retrieved a few
pieces of divine stones, some magic herbs from the Primitive Wilderness as well as some low-level
divine cultivation methods from his Space Ring and passed them off to the newly named grand-elders.
"We will do our absolute best to revive the Chu Clan and live up to our ancestor's expectations and Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
legacy."
Darren nodded back and said, "Now listen to me carefully, you people of the Danyun Clan. You have to
take responsibility for all you have done and pay for it. I order you to move to the northern border. You
are not allowed to leave there for one hundred thousand years. If this order is violated by anyone at all,
the entire clan will be wiped out! Is that clear?"
"Yes, sir. Thank you so much for letting us live. Thank you so much!"
"We will do as you say and obey your orders. Thank you so, so much, sir."
The people of the Danyun Clan had considered themselves dead, but, to their surprise and relief, they
were only punished and driven away. They were all grateful beyond expression.
"Now get out of here right now," Darren growled at them.
They did not stay a second longer than necessary. They set off for the northern border immediately,
flying ahead without so much as a glance back.
The Chu Clan then moved into the Danyun Clan's land. They all received their land and resources
according to the distribution set by Hurst and the several grand-elders.
"Belle, Elsa, let's get out of here."
Darren and the two girls then left this place together. He was able to help the younger generation of the
Chu Clan by giving them the resources to grow stronger, but at the same time, he knew he was leaving
them with trouble waiting in the wings. He knew the Danyun Clan would no doubt come for revenge at
some point in the future.
Only by overcoming that challenge could the Chu Clan truly rise back to what they had once been.
"Belle, do you know whether the Dragon Blood Clan still exists?" asked Elsa on their way back.
"I had the same question," Darren added, turning to Belle as well.
