Chapter 91 Celine Pretends To Faint In The Snow (Part One)
Fiona was still shocked.
How could it be possible that such a wonderful fate existed in this world? Just a few days ago, she was
thinking about the boy whom she used to make snowmen with. And today, she saw him again for the
first time in years.
"You were so young when we were separated. I'm surprised you remember me." George sighed. "I was
only eight when we moved out. You were only four or five years old then, weren't you? We haven't seen
each other in years. I thought if we saw each other again, we wouldn't even recognize each other."
As Fiona gazed at George's face,
all her memories suddenly came flooding back.
She realized that he still looked like the little boy
that she knew him to be.
"Sorry, I forgot your name. I should have recognized you earlier during the military training!" Fiona
apologized.
"I don't blame you. I know that a lot of things happened to you over the years." George raised his hand
in an attempt to comfort her, but after some hesitation, he decided against it. "It's been so long since I
last saw you. I wanted to see you. But when I heard you were married, I was relieved and decided
otherwise. How have you been all these years?"
"I'm fine." With a small smile playing at the corners of her mouth, she looked lovely. "Look at me. Do I
not look fine?"
"That's good." George nodded. "Does Spencer treat you well?"
"He's good." The smile on her face didn't fade away but her heart was suddenly filled with sadness.
"My parents arranged this marriage for me even when I was still young. I know they made the right
choice. I'm glad that I can fulfill their wish."
At that moment, Spencer was just about to look for Fiona when he heard her speaking. Rendered
speechless, he paused for a moment. 'Yeah. What else can she do?' he thought.
George felt his chest tighten when he noticed the mature gleam Fiona had in her eyes. She was still
too young for all of this. He looked up at the sky and decided to change the topic. "It's snowing heavily
now. Do you want to make a snowman tonight? Just like we used to do when we were young."
"Okay." Fiona agreed without thinking. "I haven't played in snow in a while, George..."
"Great!" Spencer said with a laugh.
Standing not far away from them,
Spencer rolled his eyes with disdain when he saw how happily they chatted.
He couldn't help but call out George's name to interrupted them. "George!"
Both Fiona and George turned around.
Spencer walked beside Fiona
and took her hand.
"It's cold. Why did you come out?" he asked her.
"I..." Fiona was a little uneasy as she looked at George, the discomfort on her face evident. It was weird
to show off their relationship to him like this.
"Let's go back now," Spencer urged as he pulled her hand.
"But George is still here," Fiona protested and shook Spencer's hand off. "Let me introduce you to each
other. George and I grew up together. What a coincidence, huh?"
The two men looked at each other intently.
With a smile, George reached out his hand. "Nice to meet you again, Fiona's... husband."
Hearing that,
Spencer felt elated. He reached out his hand to shake George's. "Nice to meet you. I'm Fiona's
husband."
Fiona rolled her eyes secretly.
George laughed. "I used to hold a grudge against the guy who took Fiona away from me. I thought I'd
have to fight with him one day but looks like I don't stand a chance. Spencer is not a guy to be messed
with."
However, Spencer was in a daze for a moment. He responded, "I didn't take Fiona away when I was
still young."
"To me, it's the same thing. When I was seven years old, I went to the Ji family's house to propose to
Fiona behind my parents' back. I took all the pocket money so I could buy her candies." George
emphasized the words "propose to Fiona" as he spoke. Grinning, he said, "But Fiona's mother told me
that Fiona was going to be your wife. I really didn't think that anyone would propose to her before I did.
Later, I found out that the marriage between you two was arranged even before she was born. I guess I
was a bit too late!"
As Fiona listened, she had a slight smile on her face. She didn't expect that the now calm and
composed George would be like that when he was young.
Among the three, only Spencer didn't laugh; instead he even pressed his lips tightly.
The story that George had just told sent shivers down his spine. He also couldn't help but feel lucky.
'How could George be so precocious? How could he propose to a girl at the age of seven? This brat!
Fortunately, Fiona's mother told him that Fiona was going to marry me. Otherwise, what would have
happened to Fiona? Would she end up marrying George? No way! Would she have gotten together
with Ryan and married him? No way! Nevertheless,
she wouldn't have been with me,' he thought.
When he thought of this, he narrowed his eyes dangerously. 'Fiona will be my wife for the rest of my life
and that's it. We are going to be together forever,' he swore to himself.
"Mr. Cheng! Mrs. Cheng! Mr. Ye!"
As the three chatted casually, Johnson suddenly ran over. He bowed to each of them before turning to
Spencer and saying, "Mr. Li asked me to go out and look for you." NôvelDrama.Org: owner of this content.
"Okay." Spencer waved his hand to signal for Johnson to go back. Then he turned to George and said,
"George, shall we go in?"
"Okay." George nodded as he started to walk.
Just as Fiona was about to follow him, her arm was suddenly grabbed by Spencer.
"What?" Fiona asked, frowning as she was caught by surprise.
Drawing closer to Fiona, he asked seriously, "What was your reaction then? When he proposed to
marry you,
did you agree?" Looking up at him, Fiona paused for a few seconds before coming to her senses. "Are
you out of your mind?"
"Answer me!" Spencer demanded.
"How do I answer you? I don't remember anything!" Fiona shrugged helplessly. "I was only three or four
years old at that time. That was the first time I was hearing about that! Just now! Even if I remember,
how could I have agreed to that? It sounded like a joke to me!"
"Really?" Spencer cast a glance at her.
