Chapter 81 Cancel The Deal (Part One)
Chapter 81 Cancel The Deal (Part One)
"I'll go with you," Fiona said abruptly. "I want to see Ryan off too!"
"What? Um, okay!" Sophia said. "If you come, I bet Ryan will be happy."
"I'll be coming from the hospital and I'll go straight to the airport."
"Are you going to take a bus? If that's what you're going to do, he would have already left by the time
you arrive. I can take a taxi going to the hospital first, and then we go to the airport together," Sophia
offered.
"Okay," Fiona replied, biting her lips
"Which hospital?"
Fiona told her the location of the hospital and said, "I'll wait for you at the entrance."
"Okay."
When Fiona hung up the call, she fondly caressed the Comic Bear on the bed before getting up. These
days, she felt much better. Still, she felt dizzy whenever she got out of bed.
Fiona shook her head as she began to look for her clothes.
Ruby came with Fiona's breakfast. When she opened the door, she saw Fiona going through her
clothes which meant she was probably going out. She asked, "Mrs. Cheng, where are you going?"
"Ruby, I have something to deal with now. I need to go out." Placing her clothes on the edge of the bed,
Fiona took off her hospital gown and said, "Ruby, could please help me go through the discharge
procedure?"
"No... no way!" Ruby hurried to catch her. "Don't you know what's happened to your body? You've only
been resting for a few days. How could you be discharged right away? I won't let you go!"
Fiona was nowhere near as strong as Ruby. She pleaded, "Ruby, please, I'm feeling fine. Let me go!"
"No way!"
"Well, then we don't need to go through the discharge procedure," Fiona compromised. "I'll go out for a
while and I'll be back in the afternoon."
"No way!" Ruby was still firm on her decision.
"But... Ruby, I'm begging you. A friend of mine, who has been so good to me, is leaving to study
abroad," Fiona explained. "If I don't even see him off, I'll regret it for the rest of my life. Ruby, please!
Please..."
"Mrs. Cheng, it's not that I don't want to, it's just..."
"Ruby, I will take good care of myself. I will be fine," Fiona assured, firmly shaking Ruby's hand. "I
promise I'll be back safe and sound. I just need to see off my good friend. Don't worry about me."
"Well, okay, I guess," Ruby agreed reluctantly. "But you need to be back by tonight."
"Okay!" Fiona nodded as she started to change out of her hospital gown. "Thank you, Ruby!"
When Fiona left, Ruby shook her head helplessly and quickly dialed Spencer's number. However, it
seemed that his phone had been turned off. Sighing, she ended the call.
At ZR Company's design department
Someone knocked on the door to Celine's office.
"Come in," Celine said without looking up.
"Our company's performance will definitely improve as long as we have more hard-working designers
like you." Charles walked in, a faint smile on his face. He continued, "It's a pity that someone who is
diligent but talentless still can't succeed no matter how hard she tries."
Sulking, Celine clenched her fists under the table. Still, on the outside, she never kept the smile off her
face. She stood up and walked towards Charles, putting her arms on his shoulders. "I don't know what
you mean..."
"It doesn't matter." Charles had an unreadable look on his face. He shook off her arms and said, "I
need you to go to the airport with me this afternoon."
"The airport? What are you going to do there?" Celine frowned.
"I'm going to see off my brother who's going abroad to study." Charles raised his eyebrows.
"Then what am I going to do there?" Celine asked in confusion.
"I'm sure I'll find some use for you if you come." Charles reached out his hand and on his palm was a
small glass bottle with white powder inside it. "Do you know what this is?"
Celine shook her head.
"It's an aphrodisiac," Charles whispered in Celine's ear, his tone alluring. "No man can resist it. It's
transparent and odorless. If you mix this with water, you can sleep with any man who drinks it. Trust
me."
Staring at the powder in the bottle, Celine opened her mouth slightly and said, "What...?"
"There isn't any other way to get you and Spencer together, is there?" Seeing the hesitation in her
eyes, Charles said, "All you need to do is come with me to the airport. This is a good deal."
"But I..." There was a trace of hesitation on Celine's face.
"What? You don't want to?" A severe look appeared on Charles' face. He quickly put the bottle back
into his pocket and said, "Never mind then."
"No, no, no!" Celine grabbed his arm. "I'll go with you. Give me the bottle, please."
Charles laughed. Sure enough, provoking was the most effective way. He looked at Celine ironically
and said, "That's my good girl. Let's go. We're going to the airport now."
At the airport
"Attention, the flight coming from J Country is about to land. Keep a close watch on the passengers. If
you spot anyone suspicious, trail the person right away!"
"Copy that!" From NôvelDrama.Org.
"Copy that!"
"Copy that!"
In the monitoring room, Spencer shifted his focus on security checkpoint at the entrance of the airport
hall. He also added more people waiting by the security checkpoint. He instructed them to watch out for
anyone suspicious and to check anyone who was. However, they still hadn't found a single lead since
last night.
'Is it possible this is just a trap and they are not going to deal drugs in the airport?'
Meanwhile, outside the airport, Ryan had just arrived in Andrew's car. Behind him were his two body
guards carrying his luggage for him.
"Andrew, I'm going in now," Ryan said. "Please take care of my mother while I'm gone. Her health has
been quickly declining. I trust that you're going to take good care of her. Thank you so much."
"Don't be so formal with me, Ryan," Andrew said emotionally. "I have always treated you as my own
family. Please allow me to escort you in."
"I'm afraid if you do, I won't be willing to leave," Ryan said with a faint smile on his face. "Andrew, I see
you as my family. I might not be able to handle it if you come see me off."
Andrew shook his head and said, "Ryan, I need to see you off. I'm worried about you. I don't want you
to leave by yourself."
"All right." Ryan opened the door and got out of the car. A gust of cold wind blew. He pulled his clothes
hard and said, "Andrew, it's cold. Let's make it quick."
"Ryan, please take good care of yourself there," Andrew said as he walked with Ryan. "Even though
your brother doesn't like you, your father cares for you. You should focus on your studies, okay?"
