Chapter 11: The Second-Time Rescue

“Help you?” Yusef Penn looks at this person in his arms and sneers coldly, “Macy Downey, you are

such a cheeky person.”

Yusef’s slender finger roughly wipes something away from Macy’s scraped lips, and then he coldly

leaves, holding Macy in his arms.

It has been midnight when Macy comes to herself.

She turns over and sees Yusef walk out of the bathroom with a towel wrapping his lower part.

She is a bit shocked and there is an emotion churned up in her heart.

Seeing she being awake, this man doesn’t show any surprise but a poker face. His deep eyes are

wreathed in the steam, which makes them deeper and more difficult to understand.

He glances at the bed and pours a glass of water. He takes it to the bed and gazes the woman on the

bed coldly, “Macy Downey. It’s the second time that I saved you.”

The first person she sees is Yusef Penn, which gives her an unknown sense of security out of blue.

Macy unconsciously purses her dry lips upon seeing the glass in his hand. She tears her wound on the

lip again accidentally.

She slightly inhales and brings back to herself, “Well, what happened to Manson Zach?”

It’s probably because Yusef didn’t expect her to ask about another man soon after she wakes up. He

drops the glass in his hand and looks at her coldly, “He’s dead.”

“What?!”

Macy is a bit freaked out and she tries to get herself up but only to find out she doesn’t have enough

energy. She struggles and falls back in the bed for several times. She speaks hastily, “The Downey’s

can’t suffer another scandal. What on earth happened to Manson Zach?”

Bad things happen just one after another. If anything happens to Manson Zach and gets viral. People

will definitely judge her.

Yusef raises his eyebrow carelessly seeing her expression and beats around the bush ironically,

“Earnest Downey once told me that his daughter had no talent for business but I will definitely refute his

argument if he’s here.”

Yusef bends over and holds Macy’s chin with his strong fingers to force her to turn around, “I probably

underestimated you. I shouldn’t have shown up tonight to interfere Miss Downey’s big deal. Tonight you

were with Mr. Zach and it’s really likely that you soon will have another deal with Mr. Sun tomorrow.”

“Let go off me!” Macy moves her body to get rid of Yusef, but she clumsily hit his thigh with her knee.

Yusef hums silently and his face turns dark and unpleasant, “What are you doing? Playing hard to get?”

Noticing the change of his mood, Macy feels more awkward and she knows it will only get worse if she

Being afraid to let Yusef see through her emotion changes, she tensions her body slightly and looks at

Yusef when she mumbles, “Mr. Penn, please have mercy and don’t spread the news about Manson

Zach and I.”

She swallowed her pride and spoke softly, which made her sound gentler.

Yusef smirks and bends over to kiss her soft lips and deliberately bits on her wound slightly, “Are you

begging me?”

Macy just feels electrified from her chest to everywhere of her body, “Yusef Penn, what do you mean…”

“Macy Downey, this is the last chance. Do you want it or not?”

He lifts his head where a bit of his lust appears. An evil gaze is made through his eyes.

Macy Downey is in a trance mildly. In the next second, she assertively puts her hands on his shoulders

and heads up to kiss Yusef’s lips effortlessly.
