Stuck In The Wrong Marriage

Chapter 11

Happy reading….

The anger flashed clearly from Elena’s brown eyes. Even her grip on the glass grew stronger.

“Really the cohesiveness of your family makes me very jealous,” said Elena with a smile she made to cover up the emotions that had reached the top. “Then excuse me!” Elena said goodbye for a moment after giving Jayden a disappointed look.

“Who exactly is that woman?” Jane asked after Elena’s departure.

“She’s the wrong business partner, Ma,” Jayden replied.

“Looks like she’s obsessed with you, Mr. Jayden.” Haidar, who had been silent for a long time, finally spoke.

“Is that true?” Jayden chuckled. “I don’t think so,” he said evasively.

“Even if she’s obsessed with my son-in-law, it won’t turn him away,” added Andrew, looking so confident in Jayden.

“That’s true, Mr. Andrew. After all, from any side, Hera is more attractive, perfect and beautiful than the woman earlier,” said Haidar. The sudden opinion made Jayden and Hera stare at him.

‘What do I feel? Haidar continued to praise Hera and her family.’ Jayden’s mind felt strange about Haidar’s attitude. But he quickly shook his head, dismissing all those thoughts.

“Of course,” said Anne making them all laugh. Jayden also smiled even though he had to. He was still thinking about Elena’s state. That woman must be very angry right now.

“Excuse me for a moment,” Jayden said goodbye.

Hera smiled faintly. She could have guessed that her husband would definitely go to see Elena. Just let it go. After all, tonight Hera managed to let Elena know where she was.

On the way out of the hotel, Jayden kept calling Elena’s cell phone. But to no avail, the woman did not pick up.

“Where exactly is Elena?” Jayden muttered in frustration. He was so afraid that something bad would happen to Elena. And it was certain that it was because of Jayden’s selfishness.

Jayden ran to and fro. Checked every corner that Elena felt might be there. But until thirty minutes passed Jayden still had not found the woman’s whereabouts.Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

Ddrrttt….

“Hello, Elena! Where are you?” Jayden said quickly after placing the square object to his ear.

“Outside the hotel,” replied Elena.

“Wait! I’ll be there,” said Jayden, rushing to where Elena was.

Jayden’s steps slowed slightly when he saw Elena sitting on one of the park benches beside the hotel. It was quite dark and quiet there. It turned out that the woman had chosen a safe place for them to meet. Where no one sees them. Jayden took a deep breath before approaching Elena.

Out of the corner of her eye Elena could see a pair of black shoes approaching her. She smiled lopsidedly without wanting to look up to see.

Jayden was now standing right in front of Elena.

“You told me to come here just to be humiliated, didn’t you?” said Elena openly.

The woman looked up at Jayden in disappointment. The tears had already spilled out of her eyes, she couldn’t hold it in anymore. Elena brushed her tears away.

“No, Elena. I—”

“What are you, huh?!” cut off Elena raising her voice. “I shouldn’t have put up with you this far,” Elena said as if regretting having wasted half her life with Jayden. “I should have just given up when you refused to introduce me to your parents,” she continued.

Yes, that’s true. That’s why Jayden’s parents didn’t know Elena. During their relationship, Jayden never asked Elena to meet his father and mother. This is also the reason for Jayden and Hera’s matchmaking. Because Elvis and Jane think that Jayden doesn’t have a girlfriend.

Even to this day Elena has never found a reason to satisfy her. If in the past she could still understand but today Elena wanted to get an explanation.

“Why do you think like that, Elena? I love you so much, I can’t live without you!” Jayden said.

“Then why did you refuse? Are you ashamed of my status?” she speculated. Elena laughed there. Laughing at herself. People always say that Elena doesn’t deserve to be with Jayden. Tell her to realize who she is. All this time Elena didn’t think much of it but today she seemed to understand why people said that.

“No, Elena. I’ve never been ashamed of having you. You misunderstood,” Jayden said holding Elena’s shaking shoulders tightly.

“Then why, Jayden?!” Elena screamed, releasing Jayden’s hand roughly. “You saw earlier, how your family insulted me? How do they compare me to that bitch?” Elena continued feeling excruciating pain in her chest.

Jayden stood there, making Elena even more furious. She had known the man for a long time but still couldn’t understand him.

“I think you’re just toying with me,” Elena concluded herself because Jayden didn’t answer her question.

Elena was about to go there but Jayden held her hand tightly. The woman didn’t turn around until Jayden’s grip tightened.

“Akh! Jayden let me go!” said Elena turning around feeling pain in her wrist.

How surprised she was when she saw Jayden looking at him with tears pooling in his eyes.

“Jayden you…” Elena whispered as if at a loss for words. For the first time she saw Jayden cry. He was the strongest man Elena had ever known and he couldn’t just cry.

“Please don’t leave me, Elena,” Jayden whispered, tightening his grip as if he didn’t want to let go of Elena for a second.

“But I—”

“I only have you. If you leave me too… then who should I be with, Elena?!” Jayden shouted. Slowly his grip slipped from Elena’s hand.

‘What does it mean?’ Elena asked herself.

Jayden’s body just collapsed as if his bones could no longer support his weight. The man was sobbing there. While Elena was still unmoved. He was really surprised to see Jayden cry.

‘What I have done? Is this all my fault? Have I hurt him?’ Elena whispered in her heart. The woman also sat down and carried Jayden’s trembling body into her arms. Jayden quickly returned Elena’s hug.

“Really, Elena. I don’t want to lose anymore. It’s enough for them to go. Please stay with me. I beg you!” Jayden asked still sobbing. Elena’s chest felt tight. As if she could feel the pain that Jayden was feeling right now even though she herself didn’t know the reason behind the pain.

Jayden let go of his arm. He wiped his tears roughly and then looked at Elena.

“You’ll stay with me, won’t you? You won’t leave me, will you? Promise me, Elena. You won’t leave me.”

It didn’t sound like a request but an undeniable command. Jayden who was just pitiful had made Elena’s defense collapse, especially now Jayden who was looking at him with puffy eyes from crying. That was Elena’s biggest weakness.

“I’ll never leave you, Jayden. I promise,” Elena said. As the woman said. No matter how many times Jayden let him down, no matter how many times he had to endure the pain in the end he would still forgive Jayden.

Is Elena that weak? Yes. She was that weak in front of Jayden.

But the reason she stayed this time was not only because she loved Jayden so much but because she wanted to know what really happened to the man.

“Thank you, Elena. I love you so much,” Jayden said hugging Elena tightly again.

“I love you too, Jayden,” Elena whispered, joining the embrace even though there were still a thousand and one questions troubling her mind.
