Start With An Unexpected Affair

“What are you doing here?” She asked

Kyler look inquisitively at her for a long time and try to let his head do the questioning rather than his mouth. It will be ridiculous for him to ask her what she’s doing right now… with him

But then he can help the feeling of jealous that keeps welling up in him seeing her together on a date with another man

“President Black?” Yasmin called again and chuckle lightly

“Oh… what for? Is something wrong with the contract? I check it and made sure…”

“I’m sure there is nothing wrong with the contract Yasmin, i think he’s just here…..”

“To talk about the contract there is a fault in it” he let out and inhales sharply

Yasmin look at him and back at Mr. Bays, the look on both men’s face seem a bit unfriendly which made her empty stomach grumbles loud

“Can whatever President Black want wait, we are on a… Miss. Cassidy seems hungry”

“I can join you for a late lunch, i don’t mind” he said and let his gaze hold Yasmin’s.

The atmosphere look a bit awkward and kind of malice between the two men and Yasmin could feel something is not right between them

Hearing President Black saying he can join them for lunch made her stomach grunts in nervous and hunger.

She stare at him hoping to read his intent but when her eyes meet his blue eyes it seems to arrest her senses and leave her staring dumbly at him

“She will ride with me”

Yasmin hear his firm and authoritative voice say and snap out of whatever charm was just casted on her, she seem to have miss a sentence or two

“I am the one who brought her out today….”

“I want to discuss something important and official and i might just talk about everything in the car and let you have your lunch together as you wish” he told him

“I think President Black is right, we can discuss whatever it is in his car” Yasmin said ruining Mr. Bays’s attempt to talk again.

She follow him to his car and glance at Mr Bays before entering into the car and the driver drives off.

“She’s here, now what?” Kyler thought having his eyes fixed on the glass window

Many questions run through his mind and he try not to ask her and sound like a jealous unreasonable man who can’t control himself.

He turn to look at her and notice she is also nervous, feeling a little calm he decide to ask one question

“Did I interrupt your date with Mr. Bays?” He asked wanting to confirm if she was really on date with him

“That wasn’t a date, he just want to have lunch together… i cancelled on him the other day because of…”

“That’s good then” he said cutting her short

“Ermmm… is that what you want to talk about?”

“If not?”

Yasmin nod her head and look away from him. She had ride with him before but sitting with him now in the car feels a bit intense and it is making her nervous

The last time they saw was at the last dinner and he make out with her and drop her off without saying any word to her and now here he is, silent again.

The rest of the ride to some restaurant was spend in silence and awkwardness for Yasmin until she get out of the car.

Mr. Bays’s car stops just beside her as she open the car door and she swear she already forget about him coming with them

Kyler got down from the car and his gaze went to Mr. Bays who is looking at her, his eyes move quickly to Yasmin and they turn glower as he watch her smile at the other man

Feeling angered, he walk inside the restaurant and they followed after him.

The place seems a little too… not where he would go on normal days to have lunch

“Can President Black dine in a place like this?”

Kyler look back at who seems to be his rival, he’s not worthy of being his rival at all but then he’s not going to lose to him today

He take his seat at one of the tables and look up at him to tell him he can, Kyler watch him chuckle and that raises an infuriation in him

“You have go to the counter to make your order” he told him

“I will take our orders” she halfedly yell

They both look at her and lessen up a little, Yasmin ask what they both want and told them the menu already in her hand

“Anything” he heard him reluctantly say

“Black beans and rice salad”

Yasmin nodded her head and go to make the orders for them.

“Do you regret letting her go?” Thompson ask taking his seat opposite him

He watch his infuriate eyes stare at him and he smirk seeing he’s feeling the exact way he wanted him to

“No” he answered firmly

“I don’t regret the decisions i make”

“So you don’t want her back then?”

“I rarely give second chance Mr. Bays” he told him

Thompson turn irritated hearing his answers, he was trying to rile him up but it looks like he’s the one getting riled up instead

“I thought you have something special for my employee seeing you came to her house and also trailed us to the restaurant and put a scheme to ruin our date” he stated

“Mr Bays must be mistaken about me” he said and place his hand on his laps to calm down

“Then I must thank you for sending her to me”

Kyler feel the urge to punch through his face again but Yasmin came with the tray of food for them and he quickly exhales deeply keeping his anger in check again

She place the food carefully in front of the them and take her seat to eat too.

Not wanting to stay anymore, he thought of leaving but Mr. Bays phone rings and he watch him take the call without picking a cutlery

The call lasted for few seconds and Mr. Bays had a frown on his face as the call ended

“I’m sorry i have to go, there’s an emergency i have to take care of” he informed facing Yasmin

“Ohh okay” she said

He had one last look at him before hurrying out of the door to his car and drive away

“I guess it’s just the two of us then” she said in an awkward smile.

There is an awkward silence between them again as Kyler have his eyes fix on her and Yasmin try to use her hand to lift her spoon without having it shake

“Let get out of here” he said in a deep distant voice and Yasmin almost drop the spoon

“You don’t like this…”

Kyler did not let her finish her statement when he got up and walk to the door, she reluctantly follow after him not feeling satisfied with the little she was able to eat.

It is almost sunset and she hasn’t had anything much to eat except filling her stomach with nervousness

They get into the car again and the chauffeur ask him for where to go

“Just drive” he told him and he nodded immediately taking off.

Silent return to the car and Yasmin can not help but feel she might have done something to him that has maybe upset him

Or maybe Mr. Bays talk about something that got him upset since she saw them talking while she stands to get their food

The drive went on for more than fifteen minutes without him saying a word but just stare ahead

“How did you meet Mr. Bays?”

Yasmin turn to him after spending the last fifteen minutes trying to avoid looking at him

“He came to me after I got fired and offer me a job”

“How did he know you?”

“He told me he saw me at one of your parties”

“So he has plans to steal you before hand” he murmured angrily

“You guys have something going on?” He asked not realizing his words

Yasmin look puzzled at his questions not knowing where all these is coming from

“Boss and employee relationship I guess”

Kyler sighs after and ask the driver to stop the car then ask him to get off and wait outside

“Did I do something…”

“He said you are on a date with him”

“Who? Mr. Bays?”

Kyler move closer to her and cover the space between them in the car, he see her trying to move back from him and stretch his hand behind her and rest his palm on the seat space behind her.

She stop moving seeing he already block her, she try to calm herself down and turn to look at him

“I don’t think I like seeing you with another man whether it’s a date or not” he said

Yasmin stare into his eyes and could feel the anger in them, he look jealous and she can’t help but feel happy about it

“Mr Bays is my Boss and it’s was just a harmless…”

“Don’t call him Boss when I’m around” he said sternly

She keep quiet and nod her head once to answer him, it feels like his body is getting more tensed than she thought.

Yasmin feel like if she doesn’t say something to calm him down he might get more angry than he already is, she hasn’t thought much of his attitude all afternoon.

It is not President Black way to come see you when he needed you, it’s always the other way round and the glares he was giving Mr. Bays, she seem to understand it well now

It’s because he thought they were on a date and got jealous… but how did he know she was out with Mr. Bays anyway?

“President Black? I think there has been some misunderstanding….” She try to explain and follow his gaze

“Mr Bays is innocent, he just took me out…”

Kyler move in closer on her and have their faces touching each other, he breathes in her scent to calm down and brought his other hand to her face.

He watch her inhale deeply and hear her chest thumping as he let his lips graze her cheeks

“I also don’t want you to talk about another man when you’re with me” he whispered to her ears and Yasmin find herself nodding obediently to his orders

She feel herself melting under his touch and her heart pounders more as he caress her face with both his hand and lips.

Yasmin close her eyes and wait for his lips to take her in but it didn’t after waiting for long seconds, she open her eyes slowly and pull his head to face her

Taking a deep look at his eyes, she inhale sharply and push her lips in on his, filling up her steamy desire.
