Spoiled by the Silver Fox

Chapter 221

Sebastian looked at Stephanie, and his expression seemed to soften a bit. His eyebrows were no longer tightly furrowed, and a warm smile unconsciously formed at the corner of his mouth. He asked, "Is your mom awake yet?"NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

"Yeah, Dr. O'Neal said she needs bed rest for a few days and can't get up and move around." Stephanie said.

"Why isn't the nurse here today?" Sebastian asked.

"I have a few days off, so I thought I'd spend the time with her and gave the nurse a break." Stephanie answered.

"Steph, is your mom okay?" Ava couldn't help but ask.

"She's awake now." Stephanie said.

"Good... I'll go with you to see her later. Can you put in a good word for me?" Ava asked.

"The previous hospital dean was my brother. It was all just a misunderstanding, and he had no idea about your relationship with Sebastian. I think if he'd known, he wouldn't have done what he did. So please, convince Sebastian to spare my brother and let him resume his position as the dean." Ava asked.

"Huh? About what?" Stephanie asked, confused.

Stephanie quickly lowered her gaze, "Sorry, I can't do that. Sebastian, you go take care of things. I'll go look after my mom. I told you about this just so you wouldn't worry."

Sebastian nodded and said, "I'll go see her once everything is handled. Tell her to rest at ease."

"Alright..." Stephanie said.

"Ms. Bishop, hold on a sec. The kidney your mom needs is still in our hands!" Ava said.

Just as Stephanie was about to leave, she suddenly stopped. She asked, "What do you want to say?"

"As long as Sebastian agrees to let my brother resume his position as dean, we'll arrange your mom's kidney to the hospital and have her surgery done immediately." Ava said. "Why do you have control over the kidney my mom needs? Did you really intercept it with Mrs. Klein?" Stephanie asked.

"My brother was fired because of your mother's situation, so it all

started with her. We just need a satisfactory outcome. Besides, it's all quite simple. Once my brother gets his position back, your mom's illness will be cured in no time. Isn't that a win-win?" Ava said

After hearing this, Stephanie sneered, "So you mean if Sebastian doesn't agree, you won't proceed with my mom's surgery? Fine, you can keep the kidney for yourselves, my mom doesn't need it!"

Hearing her response, Sebastian couldn't help but smile. This girl was quite clever.

"If you still think you have the right to negotiate with me instead of

realizing your mistake, then there's nothing more to say. I'll tell my grandfather and let him make the decision. However, before that, I'd like to remind you..." Sebastian said.

This hospital was owned by the Ingram family. Half of its shares belonged to grandfather, and the other half to Mr. Coen. Mr. Coen's main source of income relied on this hospital's profit. If grandfather found out about this, and if he got angry and revoked Mr. Coen's shares, then he would truly have lost more than he had gained.

"Sebastian, are you threatening me?" Coen's face wrinkled in anger.

Ava also said unhappily, "We're all family, so there's no need to treat each other like enemies."
