“That was uncalled for!!” Amelia complained as she looked at Alexander with a pained expression.

Alexander sighed and rubbed her head and Amelia just stared at him, she could see how distressed he was.

Her heart calmed down a bit as she felt something rubble inside her stomach and her belly was filled with butterflies.

“He’s sly and up to no good, you shouldn’t be talking to him, and I don’t like it whenever you tell Ghost or the others to stay away from you, I want them with you every second and minute whenever you go out,” Alexander said as his voice trailed off “I don’t know what I’d do if something was to happen to you Amy” His voice was so hoarse as he held onto Amelia’s shoulder.

Amelia signed deeply, trying to swallow and digest his words calmly “I like my personal space, having them roam around the corner, lurking around is much better than them staying beside me, it sucks”

Alexander shook his head in disagreement “What if Knight had brought out his gun and pointed it at you at that moment, don’t you think it might be too late for them to take action??” Alexander was already frustrated at the girl who was so stubborn.

Couldn’t she be a little tamed and obedient??

At least being a little bit stupid does not harm, does it??

Amelia still shook her head “Don’t underestimate your men”

“What we talked about a few seconds ago!!” Alexander said as he walked towards the stairs.

“So Hard!”Alexander complained as he went to sit in the dining room.

Not too long after, a ding sound came from the door, Mrs. Gale went to open the door and came back later.

Alexander looked towards Mrs Gale who was approaching him, he once had a calm face until he saw who was walking behind her.

His expression immediately darkened as he looked at Ash Moon with a piercing gaze.

Mrs Gale only allowed her in because she was aware that Ash was Alexander’s friend but she didn’t like this girl.

But she nevertheless let her in.

Ash Moon was wearing a sad and scared face as she walked towards Alexander who was sitting on the chair.

“Alex…” Ash cried out silently with a very aggrieved face as she held onto the cloak around her shoulders.

Alexander’s face was so unsightly as he gazed down at the girl coming towards him with a sad face.

He didn’t like girls being so petty and coquettish.

And the fact that Ash came to his house in the night, was already aggravating.

“What the hell are you doing at my house??!!” Alexander forgot to use language as he roared at Ash who immediately burst out crying.

“Alex…. I’m so scared, I had a terrible nightmare..” Ash sniffed in as she let her tears roll down her eyes.

All these years she had been acting tough and headstrong in the presence of Alexander because she knew he loved his girls that way.

Alexander suddenly remembered she was his neighbor now, not that he hated her but For some while now, he wanted her so far away from him without any reason.

“Ash you can’t just barged into my house in the night because you had a nightmare, who those that?? This is not America and besides… I don’t live alone, my wife is here” Alexander said but this time around, he lowered his voice a bit as he tried to reason with her.

“It was a horrible nightmare and it felt so real that I had no choice but to run out of my house, you know I’m not used to sleeping alone in a big house, I’ve not adapted to the surroundings yet,” Ash said pitifully as she advanced further and she was only a few walks from Alexander.

“So how do I come in now??” Alexander asked as he folded both hands in his chest.

Ash walked towards Alexander in slow steps as she blinked her eyes innocently and tears threatened to pour out “Can I sleep over at your house, just for the night??”

Alexander was startled as his eyes roamed around Ash’s face, just like a switch, His expression became so frightening and Cold.

“Ash go back home” He said that as he tried not to shout at Ash since she was sick, he didn’t want her illness to flare up.

Ash immediately put on a very depressed face as she lowered her head and said with a low-pitched voice, sounding like an abandoned child “Alexander you know I’ve always considered you as a person I can confide in, I’ve got no siblings or anyone to care for me… You know how terminally ill I am, you can’t possibly abandon me now right??” As the last statement dropped, Ash looked up at Alexander with mist eyes, searching Alexander’s eyes.

Alexander was immediately caught in a web of confusion, he didn’t show it in his face but he was thinking real hard.

“Please Alex…. let me stay over” Ash pleaded again as she held onto her cloak.

“Did you get permission from me first??” Amelia’s voice came from the stairs and Alexander looked up to see her descending from the stairs.
