Alexander stared at Amelia and was satisfied, he suddenly had a new impression of her.

Meanwhile, at the elevator, Amelia stared at their intertwined fingers and she immediately coughed and signaled for Alexander to release his tight grip on her hand.

Alexander let go of her hand and waited for the elevator to get to his office space.

“I thought you were in danger” Alexander broke the silence but was still looking ahead

“Why did you think so??” Amelia asked instead

“You called me five times which is very auspicious,” Alexander said and turned to face her this time.

Amelia thought he was angry that she must have probably disturbed him and his lover’s time together and she felt regretful.

“I’m sorry, I forgot that you told me you were busy, I shouldn’t have called”

For some reason, Alexander felt that she meant something else when she said that but then again he had told her this morning that he had to be somewhere.

He also felt remorseful that if he had taken her to the office before heading to pick up Ash at the airport, Amelia wouldn’t have suffered such grievances today.

He didn’t linger in that though and just stood straight without a word Amelia gazed up at him before maintaining a professional face and soon, the elevator made a ding sound and the elevator opened as the both of them walked out.

Just about four doors were there, three of the doors were made of fine wood while the other one was made of also made of timber but it was wider and bigger, The CEO’s office was boldly written on the door with a silver case.

Amelia had thought that They were actually heading to the top floor but this was the twelfth floor and she had imagined it to be filled with employees but just a few doors were there.

“Surprised to see just four doors??” Alexander chuckled as he slowed down a bit so she could catch up with him.

Amelia didn’t deny it but nodded while looking around

“Come here,” Alexander said and walked towards one of the doors and opened it directly.

Amelia who was at his back, gasped in shock when she saw what was inside.
