“Wha-what!” Ash’s eyes roamed around the men before looking at Phoenix.

Phoenix was already amused, wondering how Sly could be a friend with such a girl.

Ash breathed in a sigh of relief as she made her way to her suitcase and bend to carry it when she felt a sharp pain at the back.

Phoenix shared a look with Alexander “I think you’re beginning to underestimate me now X, I’m not a motherfucker or a dummy in this shit!”

Alexander didn’t say a word and Phoenix gestured for the men to carry Ash to their car close by.

Phoenix looked at the quiet Alexander and raised a brow at him “What?? Still grieving??…..”

Alexander’s eyes immediately turn cold at that statement, it had happened in the afternoon and now…. it was already 8pm, the topic of what happened earlier seems to be a trauma for him now that whenever it is mentioned, his head seems to spin and blood rushes up to his chest as his breath becomes shallow.

“Change of plans….. We’re visiting the Robertson’s house tonight! I suddenly remember I don’t want to have lunch with them… I want a midnight snack!” Alexander said and walked out but Phoenix followed him along.

“It’s already late Alex….” Phoenix said as they both walked towards the car in long strides.

Alexander opened the car and sat while Phoenix went to the other side and got into the car too.

“The very reason we’re going there! I swear….. they won’t rest!” Alexander looked out of the window of the car as the driver ignited the car.

Phoenix gazed at his friend for a while, he was not the emotional or sentimental type, he didn’t know how to console people.

Seeing how Ragged, and broken Alexander was earlier, He started to wonder what Amelia did to him for him to be so much addicted to her and when something unfortunate happened to her…. he was like a ticking time bomb.

But then again, he reasoned that if he was to be Alex’s position and he found out that something happened to his wife, Finland.

He wouldn’t know where to start from but Atleast…. he said to Alexander with a much calmer voice.

“You should Atleast rest for tonight, you’ve had a long day Alex…. Try to replenish your energy for the future fight, Remember Knight is still out there with the Venoms, even if we have eliminated Hitmen and Cobras… Red Kings and Venom are birds of same feather!”

Alexander frown deeply “I’ve wasted a lot of time already, things I should have done a long time but failed to do it as I saw them as irrelevant….. those things came to bite me today!! Phoenix do you understand that, you fool…..” Alexander’s eyes were bloodshot as if his brain was newly activated as that thirst for blood started again and he made a tight fist as he thought of his wife again!!

“I lost my Wife Phoenix….. I lost her! I lost the woman I love! I couldn’t do anything and guess what…. That was the most horrible experience I’ve had.
