The rain was still heavy with a sharp lighting and a blocking ears thunder. King Nathaniel rolled on the bed lazily, grunting deeply. He moved his hand, opening his eyes slowly, at first it was blurry but after blinking his eyes repeatedly, everything became clear and dime.

He traced his hand on the lamp trying to get the switch, he exhaled lightly switching it on, turning his head sideways his gaze came in contact with Tessa’s sleepy face, she looked tired and worn out.

Moving his hand slowly enough to touch her cheeks, he tucked her hair behind her ear, caressing her cheeks slowly and lovely. Watching how her heartbeat was moving steady by steady. He was lost in those stares but the clattering of swords against each other brought back his attention.

More voices of the distant chaos were getting closer and closer, cries and pain of the soldiers and maids made him storm on his feet. Without thinking twice he knew what’s happening, searching for his armor and weapons including his golden sword were placed on his reading table.

After dressing himself up along with his sword in his hand, he turned sideways staring at her, no one else apart from his woman, his smile, his Tessa. He fist his hands in anger, He walked closer to her and crouched with a soft smile on his lips.

He moved his lips closer to ears, and whispered softly into her hearing.

“I love you, going out there to stop those assassins, I am going out there to fight for our people, our subjects. Am coming back sweetheart.” he whispered, caressing her cheeks.

He stood up on his feet and walked closer to the door not after giving Tessa a stare. The sound of the door being shut could be heard.

“Your Highness”His personal guard called breathing heavily.

“Jackson, what’s happening?”He asked.

“We are under attack, the threat we received last fews weeks it’s happening.”He screamed enough for him to hear his voice and words because of the heavy cloudburst.

“The threat?”He uttered with a shocking expression.

“Yes your highness, we need to stop this”Jackson’s voice came out louder.

“Okay, lead the remaining soldiers and I’m gonna join them very soon.”he ordered. Running to the Queen’s Chamber.

“Mother! Mother!! Open the door”King Nathaniel screamed, banging the door.

“Oh heavens, she can’t hear me because of the door she’s using, I need to move to her window and hit it harder”King Nathaniel thought. Without thinking twice she ran to her window behind the castle garden and banged it not up to three times, she opened it.

“What the hell are you doing under the rain Nathaniel.”She screamed.

“Open the door mother”King Nathaniel screamed with a shaking lips.

“Okay, come over,”She replied, walking to the door and unlocked it.

She keeps pacing to and fro her room. King Nathaniel burst inside her Chamber breathing heavily.

“We are under attack, they are trying to assassinate me “He uttered, rushing his words.

“What? Assassinatiom? Where’s Tessa” she asked with a panicked voice.

“In my chamber, you don’t have to be scared. This is not my first battle and it’s not the last. I will guard you to my chamber, I just want you to be around Tessa for the meantime.”He uttered, picking up a blanket.

“Okay, I got that,”She replied.

King Nathaniel and Queen Lydia rushed to his chamber, panting heavily. Queen Lydia inhales and exhales touching her chest immediately they get in front of his chamber.

“Go inside mother”King Nathaniel screamed.

“Okay, okay. “She panicked, turning around multiple times.

“What the hell is she doing?”King Nathaniel thought.

“Nathaniel!”Queen Lydia called, taking his hand into hers.

“I know what you want to say, don’t worry I will be back”King Nathaniel uttered, removing his hand from hers.

He ran out and joined the rest, they matched towards their enemies, they removed their swords fearlessly with courage and determination.

“What a shameless father”The voice insulted.

“I fulfilled her wish as a father”King Justin growled back.

“How nice will you see your daughter in tears in the next two days.”The voice echoed.

“If anything happens to Tessa, I swear I will have you beheaded.

“Oh really, are you confidently sure about that?”The voice asked again.

“I don’t know why you are dragging my daughters to this, just because of my mistake. It’s my mistake and not theirs.”King Justin screamed angrily at him.

“Nathaniel!!!”King Justin screamed, passing out in fear.
