Chapter 36: Adellee's POV

Maybe this oracle thought I couldn't kill her because of her status. She's courageous enough to

dragged me down in this secret passage. Doesn’t she know who I am? Even if my wolf is still weak I

can kill her.

I pulled my hand to release it from her hold.

"Get your dirty hands away from me Oracle."

"Do you think I like to hold your dirty hand too? I was just given an order." Katarina said.

"It's over. You're illusion to take down my mate is over. He will find me and kill Lukas." I said.

"I know."

"Y-you know? What are you talking about?" If she know's that Kayden will win and Lukas will die, why

would she risk her life and her gifts to help that demon?

"I've seen the beginning and the end of Lukas but I can't tell him. If I did, things will change. If that

happens, I will not know the outcome. At least he dies today and maybe reborn again." She smirks as

she said that.

"You're crazy. The Moon Goddess will curse you for betraying her."

"I've heard that so many times. Do you think I still work from her? The moment you discover that I work

for the demons, I feel her powers removed from me and my soul change drastically. The God of Death

rescued me and give me a new power to help his creation."

And then I feel it, my wolf came back. She's listening to Katarina's words.

"You like him do you?" I asked.

"I do, ever since I first saw him. Even Lukas only seeks only you I stayed by his side. I know that his

delusion will be over soon."

"How can you be sure? And how can you let the other wolves died because of his desires?"

"I no longer part of the werewolf world. I become the first witch that God of death made."

"You're a monster!"

She laughed maliciously.

"I need to tell you this before everything falls into its place. You will suffer more. You will choose

another path for your life. It will come soon and you will be miserable in whatever choice you will have."

She said as if she's cursing me.

"Whatever you throw at me I will face it. I will fight for it."

"Then I can you face your mate after having sex with the vampire multiple times? Don't you think you

will not be pregnant? Do you think that Lukas are that stupid? We know you are trying your best not to

conceived but no information can hide from me."

"What are you talking about?"

"I dare not to say. The future holds the truth." Katarina said.

She must be crazy. I know Lucille will not betray me. She's my friend. If Lucille betrayed me I will know.

I'm a healer.

We heard a commotion outside the wall and I heard like there's someone trying to destroy it.

"Shit! They must got in now and tried to find the secret passage through the walls."

"Adellee!!!!!! are you there?" I heard someone shouted.

I can't be wrong.. that's....

"Connor! I'm here. Help me." I shouted.

Katarina hold my hand again and pulls me.

"Stop shouting and let us go. We need to leave this place before it collapse." She said.

"No! You can go all you want but I will stay here."

"The moment that wolf destroy the wall, the castle will collapse. The palace got patterns when it was

build. If you destroy the wall to enter into the secret passage, the palace will collapse on its own." She

informed me.

"I can't just leave him alone." I said.

"He's a wolf, he can manage." She said.

"Connor! Stop what you're doing and find another way." I shouted. I hope he here's me.

Suddenly he stops but I smell something. Like someone is burning.

"It's over." Katarina said.

This is the first time I saw her silently cry.

"What is over?"

"You must be happy, Lukas died as well as all the vampire he created." Katarina said.

I don't know what's gotten me but I feel a pain in my soul. Lukas maybe a demon but like what he

claimed he still is my mate. I hate how I feel sad about his death. I feel like I betrayed Kayden.

"I shall leave you now. We will meet again, I'm sure of that." Katarina said before she run away.

I fell to the ground feel like the world is spinning. 'What is happening to me?'

"Adellee?" Connor finally found me sitting on the floor.

But I never expect him to be bloody all over.

I stand up immediately and hold him.

"What happened to you?"

"There's a lot of trap inside this passage. I can dodge or move easily because of my built." He said and

I laugh mentally.

We walked next to each other until we found the way out. I saw wolves shouting and howling at our

victory. I carried Connor as he is almost passing out. Luckily Jaxson and the other's spot us.

Jaxson run to her my and checked Connor while Alpha Elliot, my father hug her me and checked if I'm

okay before he let go and signal Kayden to come. I can't express how happy I am seeing him but

Katarina's words keep ringing in my ears. 'What if I'm pregnant? Will my mate accept me and the

child?"

"Adellee what's wrong?" Kayden asked.

"Let's go home, I'm tired." I said.

I can feel the disappointment but I ignore it. I need to test myself first if I'm pregnant or not.

Everyone greets me as I walked passed them. They seem to understand why I don't feel okay because

they didn't question my silence. I can feel his eyes on my back as well as my father but I chose to

ignore them as we travel back home. Other wolfs stay behind to get the bodies of our other pack mates

and burn down the castle.

I hope and pray that what I feel is wrong. I don't know how will Kayden handle it if I'm pregnant.
