Chapter 21: Twenty One
Chapter 21: Twenty One
It has been two weeks.
Two. Frickin'. Weeks.
From what, you ask?
It has been two frickin' weeks since I slept with Luke.
Now, don't get your hopes up, KyLuke stans.
By slept, I meant literal sleep, you nasty minds.
Remember? When I went to Luke's room and we just hugged it out?
Now, don't get me wrong. I completely understand that I still somehow cheated on Justin, and it's even
a bigger deal than physical cheating.
Like, if it was just purely physical, not that it wasn't any better—I mean cheating is still bad kids—but
this one was something bigger.
I was emotionally cheating on Justin, because I had just admitted to myself that I am in love with Luke.
And it fucking sucks.
It fucking sucks to be in love with someone else while I am in a committed relationship.
It fucking sucks more that that someone else is my step brother.
Don't get me wrong. Something must have been really wrong with me lately because upon admitting to
myself that I was in love with Luke, I seriously considered saying 'fuck it' and just be with my step bro.
Hell, I even started googling laws regarding stepsiblings (side note: it's not incest since we're not
related. Also, if you haven't watched 'Because I said so' watch it because it also backs up the fact that
me and Luke are not incesting). I am not kidding. I would gladly show you that portion of my phone
history.
The other thing that sucks is that the guy I am in love with has been avoiding me for the past two
weeks.
Oh you think that's all? Here's another suckish thing.
My boyfriend has been hanging around the house lately with both of us that it's making me super
uncomfortable.
I swear, one more day that I am in the same room with these two, I am gonna kill myself.
—————-
"Honey. Honey wake up" my mom—sounding super enthusiastic, btw—was straight up just shaking me
so I'd wake up.
The sun was fully beaming inside my room, but not quite enough that you'd think it was already lunch
time, so I groggily sat up and silently wondered why my mom was oddly enthusiastic and excited at this
time of day.
"What is it mom?" I asked as I yawned. She simply beamed at me like an excited toddler about to go to
disneyland, and handed me an envelope with the UCLA's logo, which of course, took me a couple of
seconds for it to sink in before I realized what my mom just handed me.
I hurriedly teared the envelope open.
Greetings!
Miss Kylie Jones, we gladly welcome you to UCLA.
My eyes bulged out of my head, porn star Johnny Sinns' dick over his jeans got nothing on it.
"I got in!" I exclaimed before me and my mom started leaping with joy
She then hugged me and gave me a kiss on my cheek.
"You're a college girl now, Kyls" mom said before smiling at me
"I know. Who would've thought" I said
"You can go back to sleep now" mom said before getting up and leaving my room to let me finish my 12 Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.
hour sleep, but frankly I don't think I could go back to sleeping now.
Ok that was a joke.
I woke up 4 hours later and immediately got down to the kitchen.
Considering that it was already lunch time, my huge house was so quiet.
And I was at least hoping that Luke wasn't home, but at the same time, I was hoping he was.
We haven't been alone for the past weeks and if today was the day we finally get to be alone, then I
wanna clear things between us.
As I opened the fridge for the milk, I heard steps behind me.
I turned around and saw Luke, who looked like he had just woken up.
But upon seeing me, the sleepiness was out of his system.
"Hey" he muttered
"Hey" I said before flashing him a small smile to which he returned.
He then moved over to the pantry to get his cereal and a bowl, to which I now realize that I had just
been standing like a statue watching him for the past 30 seconds before I decided to sit down on the
bar stool to eat breakfast.
"Heard you got in UCLA" Luke said as he poured his cereal on his bowl
"How'd you know? You literally just woke up" I said
"You and your mom were both very... squeal-y earlier" Luke stated as he walked over to the island to
grab the milk.
"Thought the walls in this house were sound proof" I said
"Yeah" Luke said "You were just really loud enough to wake me up" he added before smiling then
taking a spoonful of his cereal into his mouth.
I slightly scooted over so he could sit next to me, but instead, he just walked past me and was headed
out of the kitchen
"Where you going?" A disappointed and slightly let-down me asked, stopping him midway
"To my bedroom?" Luke answered
"You're gonna eat your cereal in your room? You always eat here in the kitchen. Besides, I thought you
had a 'no food' policy in your room?" I said
"Not anymore" he mumbled, making me gasp
"Oh my god" I exclaimed "Why have you been avoiding me?" Luke scoffed
"Get your head out of your ass, Kyls. No I haven't" Luke said and was about to leave the room, when I
got up and pulled his arm so he'd end up looking at me
"Did I do something wrong?" I asked him in my most worried tone.
I started searching for answers through his eyes, and I can sense he was doing the same thing.
We just stared at each other for a couple of seconds before he sighed.
"No, you didn't do anything wrong" Luke said. "With me moving to England with my mom, I just... I just
wanna start adjusting to life without you....guys" he explained "Besides, I hang out with Justin and you"
"No, you hang out with Justin. You haven't spoken to me in weeks, Luke" I said
He looked away for a second before sighing again
"Kyls... just drop it, ok? I'm not avoiding you" He said before putting his free arm on my neck to pull me
in, then he kissed me on the forehead and lingered.
"Congrats for getting accepted to UCLA Kyls. I'm proud of you" he said before letting me go, and
heading out of the kitchen to go eat his now mushy cereal in his room, leaving me even more confused.
