chapter 45
chapter 45
“Let go of me, Theo,” I demanded, trying to shake my arm from his grip.
“Why do you do that? Soon as you don’t like the topic of conversation you want to run off. You
have every right to be mad at Tobias, but this would have eventually happened anyway. No matter what
you think you were always ours, this was always going to happen.”
“So, what you expect me to be okay with turning into a blood sucking monster or a furry monster
that howls at the moon?”
I heard Tobias huff annoyed behind me. “Now let go of me, Theo.”
“Not until you listen, if you don’t choose willing, I will choose for you Imogen, I won’t risk your life.
We won’t let you go.”
“So, what then, I either become like one of you or I never leave the property. Newsflash asshole I
have been stuck here already for weeks.”
“Watch your mouth, Imogen. I won’t have you disrespect Theo.”
“Or what Tobias seriously things can’t get any more fucked up than they already are. What exactly
are you going to do about it?” He growled but didn’t say anything.
“Like I thought now fucking move out of my way” Theo crossed his arms over his chest. Refusing
to move.
“You are really testing my patience Imogen, just hear us out, bloody listen for once.”
“I have done nothing but listen to your mate bond bullshit, I feel exactly the same as when I first
got here. Nothing is going to change that, not even some stupid imaginary bond.”
“Really you feel exactly the same?” he asked, incredulous. His eyebrows raising.
He moved so fast I didn’t have time to react, I found myself suddenly shoved up against the door.
His lips at my neck, I could feel his fangs brushing the skin of my throat. I shivered and my stomach
tightened. I swallowed my mouth suddenly feeling dry. All I could focus on was the feel of his body
pressed against mine, his legs pressing between mine separating my legs. He sucked on my mark and
sparks moved across my skin a moan escaping my lips as they parted. I could feel him sucking and
nibbling on my skin, arousal flooding me. Then I felt the fog, I tried to shake it off. I knew I felt more for
them, felt oddly connected to them, but knowing he was doing his mind control mumbo jumbo pissed
me off, overriding the feeling that was making me want to give in to anything he wanted. He pulls back,
his lips leaving my skin his voice below my ear.
“You can’t tell me that feels the same, Imogen. I can smell your arousal, I know how much you
want us.”
I shook my head trying to clear the fog that was creepy in, getting stronger. Managing to clear my
thoughts I pushed him releasing the hold he had over me.
“That’s because of your mind control thing not the bond.”
“It’s not that and you know it, Imogen. Why do you keep denying it?” asked Tobias who was
casually standing and watching us.
“I want to go to bed, just let me leave please, it’s still dark outside” Theo moved to the side letting
me pass only to wrap his arms around my waist. The familiar fog moving over me again. I turned
around and faced him, before slapping him annoyed that he was using his vampire tricks on me. My
slap sounded like it echoed through the house, the sound of flesh on flesh.
I was actually surprised at the amount of force I used. I could tell I didn’t hurt him even the slightest
but the look of pure rage on his face showed just how angry he is.
“Imogen apologise to him now” Tobias demanded. I did feel guilty. I can’t believe I actually hit him,
but I was sick of him using the fog to get what he wants out me.
“Tell him to stop doing his vampire voodoo then” I spat back at Tobias.
Theo grabbed me and I gasped at how strong his grip was, he yanked me towards him. I see
Tobias move closer out of the corner of my eye a worried look on his face.
Theo lips were so close I forgot how to breath, fear consuming me as I watched his eyes turn red.
He leaned in closer his voice held the anger he felt towards me. Property © NôvelDrama.Org.
“The fog works both ways, Imogen. Now you’re going to learn that the hard way.” I see Tobias go
to grab him, but Theo was faster. I was suddenly ripped completely against him. His fangs sinking into
my neck, I screamed at the shock, then screamed at the pain. I felt like my neck had just been ripped
open with can opener. He bit straight onto the side of my neck and shoulder. Tearing through my flesh. I
could feel my blood running down my shoulder before Theo was suddenly ripped off me by Tobias. I fell
to the ground landing on my butt, my hand clutching my neck.
Theo shoved Tobias away before noticing what he done, his eyes going back to their normal
hypnotic green. I pulled my hand back and my blood coated my palm. I looked towards Theo, he
looked panicked and went to move toward me arms outstretched, but I stood up and ran up the stairs.
“Imogen, wait I…”
“Just let her cool off, you should do the same,” I heard Tobias tell him.
I slammed the bedroom door. I couldn’t believe he just bit me like that, I didn’t realise I was crying
until I had to wipe my face. My neck felt like it was on fire. His bite never hurt before even when they
thought it would, Theo wanted to hurt me and that’s exactly what he did.
I walked into the bathroom to clean my face and check the damage he caused. Looking in the
mirror my face was blotchy and tear stained. My jumper was soaked in my blood. Even my blonde hair
was stained red, but it didn’t appear to be bleeding anymore. The bite mark was red and angry looking,
the skin raised where his fangs sunk in. I washed my face and my neck before realising I needed a
shower, to get it out my hair which was now sticking to my skin. I stripped off before turning the shower
on.
I got in before changing the water temperature, the hot stream burning my skin. I suddenly felt
guilty. He never would have done it if I didn’t slap him. Hell, he might not have done if I had of just
apologised like Tobias asked me to. I knew it still didn’t give him the right to do what he did, but they
weren’t human. I knew he was already wound up from his father. I also knew they weren’t human and
felt things differently to normal people, at the end of the day. I shouldn’t have done what I did. I had just
finished washing the conditioner from my hair when Tobias walked in.
He stripped his pants off and opened the shower door. Seeing him, I felt a lump form in my throat.
He stepped closer before opening his arms. I moved toward him letting him hug me. I rested my head
on his chest and turned so water wasn’t in my face trying to drown me.
He kissed the top of my head. “You okay?”
“I didn’t mean to piss him off, he just got under my skin,” I murmured. If it were anyone else, they
probably wouldn’t have heard me, but he answered so I knew he heard what I said.
“I think sometimes you forget we aren’t human; you have no idea how hard it is for him to deny his
true nature around you. He shouldn’t have done what he did, but I know he wouldn’t have done it if he
had control of his instincts.” I nodded against his chest.
“Just remember next time Imogen, there is a reason vampires and werewolves are portrayed as
evil in books and movies. We are technically what you would call monsters and run off strong emotion
and natural instincts. We feel things differently everything heightened, anger is the strongest to try and
control” I wrapped my arms around his waist, loving the feel of his warm skin. I found it comforting,
being in their arms, it felt like home, where I belonged but it didn’t make me feel any less scared of the
choices that needed to be made.
“How would Theo or you change me?” I asked. It was one question that bothered me, exactly how
did they become the way they were.
“Werewolves are born, we can make a human into a werewolf though the same as a vampire, well
like most supernatural creatures.”
“So, there is more supernatural beings than vampires and werewolves?”
“Yes, most myth and legend holds truth, Imogen”
“Like what though?”
“Fae, witches, mermaids, demons, they are a few but there is more. We live in the shadows
though. This world is too dangerous for our kind, if people found out, they would want to experiment
finds ways to recreate it, humans are good at one thing and that’s making species extinct and that is
why we have rules” he stated.
I looked up at him, he was right humans in a way were bigger monsters than they were.
He kissed my nose.
“So how would you change me then?”
“We would give you our blood.” I was confused I had already drank Theo’s blood and I was still
human so if that were it, then how come I hadn’t changed already.
“I have drank Theo’s blood and I am still the same”
“That’s not all there is to it, Imogen” He looked uncomfortable like he didn’t want to say what the
next part was.
“Then what happens?”
He looked away; his voice barely audible I wasn’t sure I heard correctly.
“You die.”
