Joanna’s mouth twitched slightly. There was a hint of unease was evident in her expression.

“Millie wants to meet M, too?” she wondered.

“Ms. Lowell, you’re really well–connected. You can even meet someone like M. Unlike me, I can only hear stories about him…” Millie remarked, wearing an expression that showed her longing to meet M.

Joanna scoffed. Of course, she could meet M. She was the daughter of the Lowell family. Anything. she wanted was just a snap of the fingers away.

“Although my family is powerful, we can’t compare to the Four Great Families. We’re still nowhere near your level. Since we’re good friends, why not let me broaden my horizons?”

Millie would not stop belittling the Caldwells.

Joanna raised an eyebrow. Being admired by others was her weakness. She loved the feeling of being worshiped, especially when the person before her was Millie.

“I’ll have to ask M first,” Joanna responded.

Millie immediately questioned, “Considering how close you are with M, is it necessary for you to ask him? You’re just bringing a friend along.”

Joanna hesitated momentarily, clutching her phone tightly.

Millie had a point. But she could not let Millie know that she and M were not acquainted at all.

“It’s called respect, something you wouldn’t understand,” Joanna muttered.

Met remained unfazed and resorted to provocation. “Do you even know M?”

Upon hearing her question, Joanna immediately answered with a dissatisfied tone, “Of course, I do!”

She could not believe Millie was doubting her, and that only fueled her determination to introduce Millie to a whole new world today.

M had said he would bring the Snowdrop. That way, Joanna could also assert her dominance over Millie, ensuring the latter knew she would definitely marry into the Greer family.

“Consider today your lucky day. You’ll get to see the Snowdrop later,” Joanna said arrogantly.

When Millie heard that, she understood that Joanna had agreed to take her to meet M.

She then widened her eyes, feigning surprise, and asked, “Really?”

“Of course! Keep your mouth shut when we meet M later!” Joanna reminded Millie.

Following closely behind, Millie could not help but let out a cold laugh.

Joanna was still the Joanna she knew. And provocation never failed to work on her. With that, they entered the private room one after the other.

Inside, it was empty and quiet.

Millie sat on the single–seat couch, looking obedient while eagerly waiting for M’s arrival.

Joanna could not help but retrieve her phone to text M.

Her message read, “M, I’m here. If you dare stand me up today, you’re dead!”

Although she asked M for help, it did not mean he could play games with her..

As Joanna put her phone down, she caught sight of Millie from the corner of her eye.

Millie had changed somewhat over the past three years. She was not as bright and innocent as she was in university. Instead, she became more captivating..

Back then, Joanna had been envious of Millie. The latter was beautiful and excelled academically. After entering medical school, she frequently stole the spotlight.

But now, Millie was nothing but an ant Joanna could crush at any moment.

“Millie, you’re truly worthless,” Joanna commented inwardly.

At that moment, Millie was holding a bottle of wine, casually looking at it.

“Don’t touch those wines. You can’t afford to drink them,” Joanna mocked.

Mille stared at the various wines on the table. Each bottle was priced, and they were all expensive, averaging around three thousand dollars.

“I really can’t afford to drink them. It’s so pricey!” Millie sighed before grabbing another bottle.

Joanna approached her and pushed away the bottles in her hand. It was as if she was afraid that Millie would open them.

Millie glanced at Joanna, clicked her tongue, and suddenly, a surge of darkness washed over her.

“When is M coming?” asked Millie.

Joanna checked the time. It was already 12:20 pm.

“Soon,” she answered. All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

With that, she sat down, looking frustrated.

Millie crossed her legs while casually playing with a bottle of wine. She then asked, “Have you really gotten your hands on the Snowdrop?”

“Of course!”

Millie nodded seriously. “You’re impressive! I’m sure Mrs. Greer Senior will be delighted when she receives it,” she calmly replied.
