“What? Boss, but your health condition…” Marvin pointed at Millie.
Millie smiled. “I’m fine. I can even outlive you.”
With a bitter smile, Marvin agreed. “Alright then.”
Later that evening, Millie returned home to inform her family. At night, she and Marvin took a flight overseas. She had promised Arthur, so she was determined to fulfill it.
When they touched down, it was afternoon in Musbane, which had a three–hour time difference from Yerwick.
Marvin received the address and invitation for the auction, which they could attend in the evening. The auction was an important event in Musbane, and many local influential people were expected to attend.
In preparation, Marvin went to secure the appropriate attire for the event. After checking
in at the hotel, Millie went out.
MS Hotel was the most luxurious hotel in the area, with over 30 floors providing a panoramic view of the surrounding scenery. Musbane was a city brimming with
romance and a relaxed atmosphere.
Millie was wearing a black dress, with her curly hair cascading down her back. She also wore a pair of two–inch high heels to complete her look.
She walked down the street and went into a café. After ordering a cup of sat by the window.

The waiter was a handsome man in his 20s. His eyes were mesmerizing, and he provided an excellent service.
Millie was just about to take a picture and send it to Rachel to share her day when Logan’s sudden call interrupted her. She lowered her gaze and answered the call.
Logan asked, “You’re not in the hospital?”
Millie glanced up. “Oh, Mr. Lowell, I’m sorry. I’ve left as I have something to take care of.”
“When will you be back?“.
Millie pondered for a moment. “Not sure.”
Logan remained silent for a while, then softly apologized for the interruption before
ending the call. Millie thought of him as someone who could adapt and go with the flow within the Lowell family.
While she enjoyed her coffee, she suddenly recognized a familiar voice. “Mr. Pearson, I assure you that this time, I’m truly committed. I’m determined to dominate the entire Amaurote market. This isn’t just a boast. The Greer Group is capable of achieving it.”
Millie turned and noticed Winston in a black suit with a group of foreigners coming down the stairs. Among them, Winston stood out with his good looks and unique appearance. He was the most noticeable person in terms of height and body shape.
The customers and waiters in the café couldn’t help but glance at him and smile. Eli was also there with him.
Millie was surprised to see Winston in such an unlikely place. She sat across from them and tried to hide behind a few sparse plants. Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
As Winston descended the staircase, his peripheral vision caught sight of Millie. A familiar feeling washed over him. However, he reminded himself that he was in Musbane, and the person he was thinking of should not be there. So he left with William Pearson.
After Winston left, Millie watched him through the window. He shook hands with William. The woman beside William also offered her hand, but he simply nodded politely.
Winston felt like he was being watched, but no one was there when he turned to look. He frowned and looked at the woman by the window again. She resembled Millie, and he wondered if it could really be her.
“William, I have other plans, so I won’t be able to go back with you. I’ll see you at ne auction tonight.” Winston nodded and spoke in fluent Encerian. Then, he glanced at the café and entered.
