She’s Married, Sir (Scarlett and Sebastian)

Chapter 71

Chapter 71

What she meant was that if she wanted to enter a wealthy family, it was impossible to rely solely on her

looks; she needed to have a similar background, or at least be able to speak with her academic

qualifications.

Scarlee, with her wisdom and beauty, was able to cut deep into one’s inferiority with her curses, without

using any foul language.

Scarlett balled her fists and spoke icily. “Miss Napier, whether I choose to wed into a well-off family or

not is a separate issue from quitting my job. Even if you are the president, you can’t meddle in my

private matters, correct?”

Scarlee did not anticipate Scarlett to covertly ridicule her for being a nosy parker. Her countenance

abruptly dimmed. “Certainly not. I was merely reminding you out of good will. If you forgo such a great

job prospect and throw yourself into the flames like a moth, don’t complain to YII when you bemoan it

later.”

Seeing that she was relieved, Scarlett did not say anything more. She thought that once she got the

approval, she could go to Kelly to quickly hand over the work and leave. However, she heard Scarlee

suddenly change his tune. “Scarlett, I’ll definitely give the okay to your resignation, but not right now.”

Scarlett furrowed her brow and inquired perplexedly, “What is Miss Napier implying?”

Scarlee sighed and said helplessly, “You’re aware that YII’s branch in the capital isn’t doing too well.

Since Gatsby Group has the upper hand in the capital, YH can’t really make any progress without their

help. But Gatsby Group never gives us any assistance. Now that you’re connected to Mr. Gatsby, I’m

hoping you’ll stay. With you here, Gatsby Group should show us some respect.” Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

In other words, Scarlee would not accept her resignation, as she still had value.

So that was the reason.

Unfortunately, Scarlee had miscalculated; Dey would not be offering any assistance.

She was too exhausted and her body couldn’t take it anymore, so she decided to no longer deal with

Scarlee.

She glanced at Scarlee and icily declared, “Since Miss Napier is unwilling to step down, then let it be. I

don’t want the salary and bonus from last month. You can consider it as me quitting the job without

notice.

She insisted on going through the normal resignation process, as YII had chosen her, fresh out of

graduation, when she was

in dire need.

The one million she sold herself to save Liam was only enough to rescue him, not enough for the

subsequent treatment

costs.

At that time, the Gatsby family had yet to locate Liam, and Susan was shouldering all the treatment

fees with her part-time job.

The peanuts she earned were far from enough. She had to look everywhere for a high-paying job, but

there was no luck – only YH had accepted her.

YH not only provided her with a stable job, but also lent her a sum of money to meet her immediate

needs.

No matter which company came to poach her, Scarlett remained steadfast in her commitment to the

company she had worked for over the past five years.

After YH changed the president, they refused her to quit her job, so there was no longer any need for

her to wait

Scarlett grabbed the work card, placed it on Scarlee’s desk, spun around and strode out without a

backward glance.

Gazing at Scarlett’s back, Scarlee’s expression gradually cooled. “Scarlett, I recall that when you took

out the loan from YH. you signed another contract. It’s quite clear that the president of YH must give

their consent before you resign. Otherwise, you’ll have to pay six times the liquidated damages to YH.

Scarlett’s elegant back suddenly became rigid in place.

She almost forgot that when she had borrowed money, YH had been fearful that she would flee, for

they had indeed agreed

to such a contract.

In her haste to request money, she hastily signed the document without giving it much thought, not

anticipating that it would become a binding shackle.
