“The director just gave her the supporting role of the movie Isabelle would be acting in, Elena didn’t get any role at all” Someone explained and Lilian walked inside, fury written on her face.

“I heard you got a nomination, good luck losing to my subordinate” Lilian mocked and another female actress sneered at her, it seemed that the actress had also been nominated and she had higher chances of winning.

“She might be needing much more luck than I do. Did you notice that I got lots of followers overnight and my picture had a much larger space on the movie banner? You should focus more on your acting than trying to ruin my career” Isabelle retorted and walked away, Lettice smiled at her.

She liked the new Isabelle who wasn’t whining about her dress and how poor everyone looked.

The movie set was bubbling as everyone carried on their duties, Lettice took Isabelle to the movie audition and she was shocked to see Lilian auditioning for a role.

Lettice walked out of the hall, her shoulders raised with pride. She scoffed as she walked past Isabelle who was trying to memorize her role.

She stepped inside the hall, feeling nervous as the judges stared at her with sharp gazes, she introduced herself nervously and proceeded to act her role.

The look on their faces told her that they weren’t impressed and with a heavy heart, she left after they promised to contact her with the results.

“Cheer up girl, you can’t be the best in one day. It’ll take years of work” Lettice consoled and Isabelle nodded.

“Someone is looking like she lost the role already” Lilian mocked and Isabelle hissed before walking away.

Alessandro started the car and wondered why she had a frown on her face, he cracked a few jokes but she wasn’t amused.

He turned to a different part and she stared at him with confusion.

“We’re going on a date to celebrate your nomination”

“Just turn around and take me home, I don’t wish to go anywhere” She ordered and Alessandro parked the car in front of a food truck.

He ushered her out and reluctantly, she followed him to get a burger.

“Wanna take a stroll?” He questioned and she nodded, silently, they held hands and walked through the quiet path.

They stared at the stars, warmth seeping into the air as their heads touched.

Time stopped and everything didn’t seem to count, only the moment mattered and they wished they could be that way forever.

They broke from the trance when a shooting star passed and delight was written on the face of Isabelle.

“Did you make a wish?” Isabelle questioned with a smile and Alessandro shook his head.

“No, you?” He retorted and the smile on her face told him that she had, they strolled back to the car and Isabelle hugged him tightly.

“I had a wonderful day all thanks to you” She muttered and he smiled, stroking her hair, his heart was filled with joy knowing that she was happy.

He went home, smiling and was shocked to see Diamond and Raymond still in his house.

“Why are you still here?” He questioned and they laughed.

“Mom was the one who was leaving not us, we came to have a vacation and your house is the perfect place for us” Raymond replied and Diamond looked at him with suspicion.

“Why were you smiling? You look like you’ve kissed your boss today” She teased and he frowned.

“One more word from you and you would be on a plane back to Miami tomorrow” He threatened and she clamped her mouth shut.

He went to bed, feeling elated, he thought about ways of brightening her day and different ideas sprang up in his head. He slept with the intention of sending her flowers the next day.

Isabelle woke up and was amazed when she saw a huge pile of gifts at a corner with a huge cake.

Her maids informed her that it was from her fans and she was moved to tears.

She did a live video to appreciate them, singing their praises about how supportive and great they were.

She went to the office that day, smiling at everyone she passed, including her father. Lettice congratulated her for getting a reply fast for the movie she had auditioned for.

She had been given the second lead role with Lilian being the first, She was sad but accepted it with good faith.

Lilian and her minions entered, making a joke of Isabelle and mocking her about how little they thought her gifts were.

Aurora congratulated her and handed her a bouquet, she looked happy but it didn’t reach her eyes.

“Let’s go to a club to celebrate this” Aurora suggested and Lettice rejected the idea immediately, hinting about how it could get nasty and eventually cause a scandal.

Aurora left angrily and Isabelle was taken to the movie set, she was shocked to see the director who she had flirted with, Carson. He smiled at her and she strutted to his side.

“Hello” He muttered, hugging her gently and Alessandro gritted his teeth. From where he stood all he wanted to do was take Isabelle away from the flirty man and evil looks around.

“What! Who did this!” Lettice yelled, scrolling on her phone with horror.

Pictures of Isabelle and Carson hugging had been posted online and hints about Isabelle getting a good movie role through his help were visible.

Lettice knew that it was the doing of Lilian and confirmed her suspicions when Lilian smiled at her mischievously.

The director received several calls and eventually had to leave the movie set to attend to the scandal.

Isabelle was furious when she saw the news.

Angrily, she went to meet Lilian and slapped her cheek angrily, the sound echoed and for a moment Lilian lost her balance, she staggered and Elena rushed to support her.

“Aren’t you tired! You got the female lead, isn’t that enough? What else do you want? Why do you keep ruining things for me?” Isabelle demanded hotly and Lilian laughed sarcastically.

“Ruining things for you? I’m only showing the world your true colors, how were you able to get the second lead without any help? Do I look like a fool, we all know that you’re busy working your ass off at night so you can be here during the daytime” She retorted and Isabelle wanted to claw her face out but was held by Alessandro.

She left the movie set angrily and was shocked to see lots of her fans defending her on social media, hinting about how Lilian was the one who slept around for roles.

Tears flowed from her eyes when an A-list actress, May did a live video just to support her, she felt very emotional as other actors and actresses came out for her and defended her, subtly trying shades at Lilian.

The tables turned when pictures of Lilian kissing a director was leaked online, the internet was set ablaze as fans clashed with each other.

Isabelle returned back to the set and was shocked to see Lilian raving with anger, she didn’t spare anyone and everyone tried their best to avoid crossing paths with her.

The day ended with Isabelle being invited to an artist’s hangout, she screamed with excitement and Aurora checked her phone.

“You’ve been invited to hang out with A list artists. Wow, this is huge!” Aurora screamed and every eye looked at her direction with envy and jealousy.

Lilian who had been having a discussion with her manager about how to stop the blazing fire was amazed, her heart was filled with envy and she wondered what was so spectacular about Isabelle that made the mom favor her.

She left the set furiously with her manager who was staring at Lettice menacingly. Lettice hugged Isabelle happily while Aurora pestered her about who would be accompanying her.

“I’m so proud of you girl, you’re my first actress to go this big” Lettice commented and Isabelle smiled, she felt grateful to Lettice who was always giving her the best advice.

“I wanna go to the artist’s hangout with you, please.. please” Aurora pleaded and Isabelle glanced at both of them with uncertainty, she was torn and didn’t know who she would choose.

“She can go with you, I have a female outing tomorrow” Lettice excused and Aurora smiled with satisfaction.

“Let’s go shopping, what are we gonna wear? Our hair? Oh we have very little time, we need to go for pedicures and have a massage….” Aurora whined and Isabelle laughed.

“Chill, we would be meeting other actresses and actors, it’s not like we’re auditioning to be miss world” Isabelle advised and Aurora screamed.

“Do you know how huge this is? We would be meeting very big personalities whom Lilian herself hasn’t even dreamt of meeting in the next 10 years. Every damned person is looking at us with envy just because of this hangout and you’re saying it isn’t huge, babe it’s massive” Aurora retorted and Isabelle laughed, they headed for the car and Isabelle dropped Aurora who wouldn’t stop bringing up different suggestions home.

She was happy to get home, take a shower and calm her head. The day’s scandal had taken a lot from her and she fell asleep immediately.
