Chapter 102 Both Losing Control (1)

“Why did you answer the phone? Where’s Nicholas?” Madelline asked, her voice cold.

“He’s doing the dishes.”

Nicholas would do the dishes himself?

Just the thought of how Nancy and Nicholas had been getting along in her absence made. Madelline resentful.

“Ms. Madelline, if you don’t have any other business. I’m going to hang up.”

“How do you know I don’t have business? What if I do?”

“Is that so?” Nancy sneered. “Well, then, why don’t you tell me what it is? Nicholas and I are married. Telling me is just the same as telling him

“Unfortunately, I only want to tell Nicholas in person.” Madelline intentionally emphasized the words ‘in person.”

Nancy, instead of getting angry, smiled. “Well, Ms. Madelline, you’ll have to wait for the opportunity. From what I know, Nicholas has no intention of taking your calls. By the way, let me give you a piece of advice: young ladies should have a little shame, and the label of seducing at married man is never a good one, no matter when.”

“If you’re sensible, I won’t embarrass you, but if you continue to try to destroy my marriage, I won’t hold back!”

Seducing?!

“Nancy, be clear about what you’re saying. Who do you mean by ‘seducing?” Madelline was infuriated by that particular word.

“We both know who and what I’m talking about,” Nancy said, then immediately ended the call, not giving Madelline any chances to retort.

Just after hanging up the phone, Nancy noticed that Nicholas was standing right beside her. She handed him the phone and said, “I answered your call. If you care, you can call her back and explain.”

“No need,” Nicholas replied, not even reaching for the phone.

Then, he sat down beside Nancy.

The two of them sat together in the living room to watch TV, which was rare.

Nancy was watching a sweet romance drama, and Nicholas simply accompanied her.

Since it was a lighthearted romantic comedy, Nancy was thoroughly enjoying it, often bursting into laughter.

Nicholas sat quietly beside her, observing the bright smile on her face. It was so radiant and beautiful. At that moment, he couldn’t help but feel that life was good.

However, half an hour later, the tone of the drama had significantly changed.

It had been a light-hearted comedy, consistently amusing and humorous. However, after a crisis, when the main characters opened up to each other and shared their feelings, it transitioned into a mode of excessive public displays of affection and intense romantic drama.

The two characters were now either embracing each other, sharing passionate gazes, or engaging in tender kisses. Moreover, the male lead was flirting any chance he got, and his techniques for wooing

the female lead were making her blush and her heart race.

When the main characters kissed again, Nancy’s face turned completely red. Especially when she remembered that Nicholas was sitting right beside her, she felt as if she were a boiled lobster as she blushed from head to toe. She felt incredibly embarrassed.

She regretted it.

She was now profoundly regretting watching this drama with Nicholas.

The problem was she couldn’t simply change the channel. It would be too obvious, right?

Looking at a certain someone, who sat with a straight face, his long legs crossed, and his eyes fixed intently on the television screen without any intention of looking away, Nancy sighed. inaudibly. Men and women were truly different. Or maybe it was just her who got embarrassed easily.

Also, do lovers really need to cuddle and kiss incessantly?

But then again, she had never been in a proper romantic relationship.

She had heard that couples in the honeymoon seemed to be true.

Couldn’t get enough of each other, and it

Just as Nancy was pondering these questions while staring at Nicholas, he suddenly withdrew his gaze and looked at her, asking, “What are you looking at?”

“Uh…” Nancy immediately regained her senses and quickly replied, “Nothing… I mean, I wasn’t…”

“What do you mean, ‘nothing? You were clearly staring at me.”

Nancy thought to herself. Do we really need to go this far? Wouldn’t it be easier for both of us to step back

a little? Must you make me turn beet red in embarrassment?!

“I…” Nancy glanced at the television, struggling to find a lousy excuse. “I just thought you looked a bit like the male lead in the show.”

“Well, there must be something wrong with your eyes!” Nicholas replied.

Nancy was about to agree, thinking that he was right. After all, the male lead was a popular young heartthrob known for his good looks. But before she could say anything, Nicholas’ voice reached her ears. “He’s quite average. I’m much more handsome than him. I don’t see any resemblance.”

This man is too narcissistic, Nancy mused, feeling rather speechless. How am I supposed to continue this conversation? Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

Nancy decided to ignore him, retracting her gaze and continued to watch the television. However, she instantly regretted it.

Oh heavens, is this TV show specifically out to get me today? This… The pace of development between the male and female lead is just too fast, isn’t it? Didn’t they just confess their feelings to each other? How did they become turned on-I mean-become so affectionate with each other so quickly?

On the television screen, the main characters were kissing passionately, completely lost in the moment. If the previous kisses were merely pecks, this time, it was entirely different; things were getting more and more out of control.

The temperature between the main characters was rising, and Nancy felt her own breath becoming thinner and hotter.

When the female lead’s clothing was undone, revealing her soft, smooth shoulder, Nancy couldn’t sit still any longer.

She got up in a rush.

Suddenly, someone grabbed her wrist.

Nicholas also stood up, gazing at her with a profound look. “Why are you getting up?”

“I… I…” Nancy licked her rosy lips. “I’m thirsty. I’m going to get a glass of water.“

Nicholas held her hand and guided her back to the couch. He then said, “You stay put. I’ll get it for you.”

“Okay.” Nancy’s mind was in turmoil, so she responded absentmindedly.

She waited and waited…

Nancy eagerly anticipated it, and she didn’t have the courage to continue watching the television during the wait. However, even without looking at the screen, the sounds from the television were

still audible.

Ah, how embarrassing!

Her blush had faded a bit. However, her ears had turned bloody red from bashfulness.

Finally, Nicholas approached, carrying a glass of water.

Without waiting for him to speak, Nancy took the glass, tilted her head, and drank it all in one gulp.

Perhaps she drank too quickly; some water spilled out and ran down her chin, over her throat, and down her beautiful neck.

Her skin was fair, and at this moment, the movements of the water droplets falling became sensual and graceful. It was incredibly captivating.

Nicholas watched, feeling warmth spreading throughout his body. His throat was uncontrollably. constricting.

Even though he had long been turned on, he was trying hard to maintain his composure. Yet, at this moment, all of his emotions reached their peak.

His eyes were ablaze, and so was his heart. His body, naturally, was also burning ablaze.

After setting down the glass, Nancy finally breathed fresh air. “Thank you!”

“Are you still thirsty?” Nicholas asked, his gaze fixed on her.

“No, not anymore.”

Hearing her response, Nicholas immediately held her hand and urgently led her upstairs.
