Chapter 66: Unleasing the Secret
The trial quickly ended because of Lorenzo’s creepy answers to Perol. Perol commanded his butler to put Lorenzo under house arrest, while Chandrea was sent back to her family in Serdaun. It was quite surprising yet entertaining what happened after the trial. The Serdauns were waiting in the gallery room, with Chantal sitting there with her mother crying and her father full of anger because of what happened to his pregnant daughter. Chandrea received a hard slap when she set foot in the room, facing the wrath of her parents for her evil deeds against her sister, Chantal. Afterward, the Serdauns left Monteverdes Main Mansion quietly with Flora and Lenox, while Maxine remained in the mansion.
Giselle quietly watched the Serdauns leave from the balcony. She watched them in anticipation, eager for them to leave quickly so she could confront Perol in the middle of the night without delay. She couldn’t do that if the Serdauns were still in the mansion. Xander was not with Giselle; he was with Lorenzo, knocking some sense into him.
And while her husband is not at her side she will make her move. To have her daughter back. Giselle is just patiently waiting for a call from Brian to make her move to the office of the Head Master of Monteverdes. She is ready to confront him. Giselle glanced at the cigarette she is holding between her middle finger and index finger. The cigarette doesn’t have any lit. Giselle just unconsciously has it in her. She didn’t smoke because she is pregnant but having a cigarette in her hands gives her somewhat a sense of relief.
“It’s so quiet,” she breathlessly mumbled as she looked down at her stomach and then a sudden pain hit her. It’s not that strong and it’s tolerable. Giselle just slowly walks inside the mansion as she sat down on the nearby chair. She rests her back on the chair as she drops the cigarette on the floor. As she feels an ache in her stomach. Giselle’s stomach is almost at 8 months. It’s still not due but she feels that she’s having contractions.
“Fuck, not now,” she whispered as she took a deep breath as she tries to relax her body. She closes her eyes while rubbing her belly she’s doing it to ease the pain and it’s surprisingly effective. After a minute, the pain is gone, which makes Giselle sigh out of relief. She looks at her bag that’s standing on the table when she heard her phone ringing. She slowly stands up as she reaches her handbag and gets her phone. Her heart beats faster when she saw the name of the caller.
“Brian,” she mumbles as she answers the call.
“Giselle, she is in there,” Brian quickly said in a panting voice.
“She is with your bitch mother-in-law.”
“She is in the mansion? Are you sure about that? I just told you to know if Perol is the one behind the kidnapping but how did you know that they are here in the mansion?”
“Look! Don’t ask and just find her! Quickly! I think Perol already discovered your identity and she kidnapped your daughter to put you on the spot!” Bryan hysterically said.
“If he already knows, then I don’t have any reason to hide. I think I’m going to pay a huge penalty for that contract,” Giselle said as she took a gun out of her handbag.
“Giselle, you’re not doing something crazy, right?” Bryan hastily asks as if he is nervous about what Giselle might do.
“Giselle, just search first for your daughter! STOP DOING SOMETHING HASTY! YOU CAN PUT YOUR LIFE AND YOUR CHILD IN DANGER!”
“Bye.” That is the last word Giselle said before she ended the call.
With a fierce look in her eyes and a cold smirk on her lips, she walks straight towards the office of Perol. Since she sees the painting, Giselle already built a conclusion in her mind. That this family might have a connection to her that’s why she made an investigation but she didn’t expect that these things might happen. The competition she forgot about it. And because of that, her daughter is now gone, worst kidnapped by her Father-in-law. The maid who saw Giselle walking in the corridor are all hiding scared that Giselle might blow their head using the gun after what they did to her on the first day she is here in the mansion, that Giselle was a crazy woman who is now getting her revenge.
At a distance, Raulo, the Personal Butler of Perol, was flabbergasted when he saw Giselle walking towards the office while holding a gun in her hands. He can’t believe that throughout his life he will see a pregnant woman with a big belly holding a gun. Raulo is good at martial arts and great in terms of combat but he can’t fight a pregnant woman. A woman who is pregnant with Xander’s child.
Raulo quickly went to Giselle to make her stop but Giselle just simply pointed the gun at Raulo and shot him in his right leg that made him sit down by the sudden struck of pain.
“Ugh! What th-” Raulo didn’t finish his words when Giselle put the point of the gun on the top of his head. He felt the cold metal on his skin. But on top of that, he can’t believe what happened to him.
“Where is your Master?” Giselle asked in a cold tone of voice. Raulo looked up to see Giselle’s face looking down at him coldly.
“Huh! I don’t know,” Perol answered.
“I don’t have time for this,” Giselle mumbled as she hit Raulo’s head strongly enough to make him fall to the ground, causing him to lose consciousness. Giselle looked straight at the door as she continued her walk. She forcefully pushed the wooden door to enter and then saw Perol smoking on the balcony.
“Get inside, I know you heard that gunshot,” Giselle loudly said to Perol. This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
“Don’t worry about your Butler, I’m sure the maids are already outside dragging his body away from here,” she added as she sat down on the chair located in front of Perol’s table.
“The wife of my genius grandson. What do you want from me?” Perol directly asked as he entered the room.
“Oh, well, this life is already ruined,” he added as he sat down.
“Now, what is your business with me, Giselle?” Perol seriously asked, which made Giselle grin.
“You know my identity, am I right?”
“I know all of it, even your darkest secrets. I know it all,” Perol casually answered, which made Giselle chuckle.
“Really? I don’t think so,” Giselle replied, making Perol laugh.
“My genius grandson contracted you to be pregnant to enter the battle of succession. You are just a dancer in a bar, a stripper. A low-blooded woman who just hit the jackpot by entering a nonsense contract with Xander,” Perol said.
“Is that all you know? I expected more than that. Didn’t you dig deeper?” Giselle asked in a meaningful tone of voice.
“Your tongue is sharp for a stripper,” Perol said in a serious tone of voice.
“And this tongue can pierce you enough to make you die,” Giselle fiercely answered.
“Ha! If you talk to me like that, I will not give you what you’re searching for.”
“If you don’t give me what I’m searching for, I’m going to make sure to be one of the reasons for the downfall of this household.”
“Huh! What can a stripper do?” Perol insulted Giselle as he showed his insulting smirk at her.
Giselle just smiled at Perol as she leaned towards his direction. “Maybe just like what your wife did,” Giselle answered, making Perol flabbergasted at what she said.
“What do you mean?” He quickly asked, which made Giselle laugh, a laugh that echoed in the room.
“You know what I mean. Just think about it carefully,” Giselle said as if she were giving a clue. But in reality, Giselle was just making up excuses to make Perol speak about the location of her child. All the things that Giselle said were still suspicions, and there was still no evidence to support her claim.
“You think you can toy with me? But sorry to disappoint you, I will not fall into your trap,” Perol said, making Giselle sexily shake her head.
“Oh, come on. I’m not playing, especially with my father-in-law. I know my situation completely. We can create a negotiation right now. Give back my daughter, and I will answer all the things that are doubting you inside your head,” Giselle said using her sultry voice, which she used in every negotiation she had.
“Are you trying to seduce me like what you did to my grandson?” Perol asked, which made Giselle laugh out of disbelief.
“Of course not, I have taste.”
