Rosetta stood there frozen as her eyes turned blurry.

She doesn’t want to believe this, it’s hard to believe. He can’t do this to her. Her mind turned foggy for a minute. Her heart was in pain like someone is scratching on it with something sharp, like it’s being tearing apart. She has never experienced this feeling before.

She looked at herself with heavy heart, she was wearing his shirt. They shared passionate night. How can it turn into something like this.

Rosetta couldn’t take it, first time she has trusted some man other than her father and Jackson and it shouldn’t be turning like this.

‘why?… Why would he do it?… Why he ignored me like i doesn’t exist. Till last night I was the only thing which was precious to him…’

She gulped the lump in her throat. It was hurting with the tightness. The urge of crying was too strong.

‘was he right?… Whatever that Masked man said, what it true?… Was it really for his ego?… He doesn’t care about me?!… Why it’s so painful?… Why that man is true?… How did he know?… I was so confident about our relationship, I trusted Skyler… How can he do this?’

She closed her eyes letting the tears fall.

Today, she understood that emotional pain is hundred times worst than physical pain. She has endured with many physical injuries, none could make her cry but this did. It’s hard to endure this pain.

She couldn’t muster up the courage to turn around and confront him. It was scary. She was scared to hear it from him. She doesn’t want to make fool of herself. She doesn’t know how will she react to it. She doesn’t want to be weak in front of him.

Her eyes snapped open when she felt his hand on her shoulder.

“Rosa?”

She heard him calling her with same loving tone and she turned around.

Skyler’s smiling face turned confused and he frowned when he saw her wet cheeks and watery eyes.

“Why are you crying, baby?”

He asked with concerned face.

He quickly cupped her cheeks wiping her tears.

“Is it hurting?… are you sore?”

He asked.

Rosetta looked at him confused thinking why is he still being gentle. She closed her eyes when he kissed her cheek and her foggy mind cleared a bit.

She realised that she was overthinking. It wasn’t like that. Skyler is not going to do anything like that. That man has filled her mind with so much dirt that she is paranoid. He is playing with her mind and it’s somehow working.

“Say something Rosa… What happened? Why are you crying?”

Skyler asked worriedly. This is the first time he is watching her cry.

Rosetta hugged him tightly, wrapping her arms around his naked torso, he was shirtless.

Skyler hugged her back and rubbed her back gently. He picked her up and placed on the dining table making her seat like a toddler.

“Baby, look at me…”

He gently broke the hug and looked at her.

He grabbed her chin and made her look at him.

“What happened?… Are you feeling overwhelmed?…”

He caressed her cheek.

“It’s ok, you can tell me. It was your first time. You might be feeling nervous, anxious or guilty… It’s normal… Sometimes it’s hard to understand your emotions…”

Rosetta wiped her tears.

“Why did you leave early?… You weren’t there when I woke up”

She questioned.

Skyler sighed.

“I was preparing breakfast for you… See”

He tilted his head at the table.

She looked back and saw dining table with full of food. She looked at him.

“Why did you ignored me?…”

She mumbled.

“When?”

He asked confused.

“I didn’t ignore you… Infact you ignored me. I was talking to dad so I couldn’t talk to you. That’s why I gestured you to follow me but when I turned back you were standing there like you didn’t see me. When I came to take you, you were crying.”

He explained.

Rosetta released a sigh and closed her eyes thinking how can she misunderstood these little things. How can she trust that stranger man over her own husband.

“You are again zoned out”

He brought her back from her world.

“What’s going on Rosa?”

He asked in concerned tone.

She looked at him guiltily.

“I got scared when I saw empty bed… I thought you doesn’t want to see me again. I was expecting you beside me. And now I didn’t saw you interacting with me, I thought___”

“Rubbish…”

Skyler rolled his eyes.

“Why would you think like that?…”

He held her chin.

“How can you even imagine that I would leave you?… Am I that untrustworthy?…”

She shook her head.

“I was just overthinking… I am not experienced in this matter. I was paranoid.”

Skyler sighed.

“You are my life Rosa… I don’t know how this happened but this is the truth. I can’t leave you, no matter what…”

He cupped her cheeks.

“I never thought that someone will become this much special for me… But here you are. You are Changing perspective of my life. You are making me change my mindset and I like it… You are not some random girl, you are my wife… I can never hurt you…”

He kissed her nose tip.

“I don’t know why you thought like that but I am not leaving you. not now, not ever. I am not like my father… I won’t do that mistake…”

Rosetta wrapped her hands around his torso and hugged him tightly.

“I am sorry… Thought of you leaving me scared me… I have never felt like this before. It was hurting…”

Skyler kissed her forehead rubbing her back.

“I am sorry I shouldn’t have leave bed like that…”

He caressed her back.

“Come, you need to eat something…”

She jumped down of the table and sat on the chair. Skyler sat beside her and chuckled at her.

“I didn’t know that you will become clingy after sex…”

Rosetta looked away awkwardly.

“I should make you cry often… You look cute…”

He teased and She smiled.

“I am not clingy, okay… It’s just, I was overwhelmed like you said”

She defended herself.

Skyler chuckled.

“I see… Okay, take a bite and tell how is it?”

“You cooked all these dishes…”

She asked amused looking at the delicious food.

“Yes…”

He rested his elbow on the table and looked at her adoringly.

“To impress my cold wife…”

Rosetta blushed.

“Don’t say that… I treat you good… I am not cold…”

She took a bite of cheesey sandwich and moaned as it melted in her mouth.

“It’s so good…”

She said mouth full of food.

Skyler Smirked at her, Rosetta blushed furiously as he wipes cheese off of her lips with his thumb and licked it.

“Hmm… now It’s delicious”

He said and she hit his chest playfully.

“You don’t know how to cook, do you?”

He teased while placing fries between his lips.

She smiled eating half of fries which was between his lips.

“I know survival cooking…”

She said.

“And what’s your defination of survival cooking…”

He Raised his eyebrows.

“Coffee and instant noodles…”

She replied making him chuckle.

Rosetta looked at him with smile as her heart felt at peace. She was beyond happy that she was wrong and regretted that she let herself influence by stranger.

‘I am sorry for not trusting you skyler… I shouldn’t trust anyone. I promise you won’t let my trust shake… No one can do it, I won’t let that happen anymore…’

“Rosa, what would you have done if I would have really left you?”

Skyler questioned and she looked at him blankly.
