Rosetta spent her day in gym as it was weekend and she couldn’t go anywhere.

She was punching the bag furiously. Even after marrying someone else he was not ready to leave her alone. Vlad has crossed his limits this time. He tried to poison skyler’s food at the wedding and was ready to attack.

Jackson also informed her that he is not giving up because he knows that this marriage is an agreement. This add up in her messy life. Now Vlad won’t be giving up soon.

Now she has two options. First continue this drama and let him believe that she really Loves him or let it be and fight with him.

But she is not ready yet, she is not strong enough to stand in front of Vlad. He is more experience than her. Plus he has power and men. On other hand Rosetta has nothing. She haven’t told anyone about it.

She sometimes Thought about telling this to everyone but she knows her father. Damian will announce the war and many will be dragged in the bloody massacre. She doesn’t want that, it’s her fight and she doesn’t want anyone to get hurt in this.

She was getting prepared, her mother is giving her tough training. Rosetta is hopeful that soon she will stand in front of Vlad and defeat him.

She stopped and panted heavily, her whole body was covered in sweat. She wiped her face with napkin and wore her jacket.

It was her first time working in gym of king’s mansion, she was impressed. Everything was present there. The third floor was occupied with only gym equipments.

She descended downstairs towards the kitchen to eat something.

She was passing by living room when she saw Xavier. He was sitting on the sofa with Sarah on his lap. She was hugging him tightly while he was rubbing her back gently and pampering her face with kisses.

The scene which she saw in the morning was totally opposite of this. She couldn’t understand this couple.

She didn’t realise that she was looking at them for too long until Xavier looked up at her. She kept her face calm and walked towards the kitchen.

She made salad for herself along with fruit juice. It was evening and Skyler wasn’t home since he has left the room furiously.

She finished her eating and was going to her room but she saw Xavier at the corridor. Sarah was not with him.

“I hope you are comfortable in the house, Rosetta… I didn’t get the chance to meet you after wedding…”

Xavier said.

Rosetta looked at him carefully for the first time. His voice was similar to Skyler. Even features was like him. Now she understood that Skyler has inherited his looks from Xavier.

“I am comfortable Mr. King… Thanks for the concern…”

She replied.

Xavier gestured her to follow him and led her towards his office.

“How is your marriage going?”

He asked and gestured her to sit down.

This was first time they were having conversation with eachother like this.

“You know the reality of this relationship…”

She answered.

Xavier chuckled.

“Right… To be honest Rosetta, I never thought that skyler will agree to marry. I wasn’t hopeful… But thanks to you, he Agreed…”

“I don’t think it’s because of me. He had his reasons may be that’s why…”

She replied.

“No Rosetta… Skyler admires you. You are his type. He wasn’t ready to marry but when he met you he said yes… He likes your kind of girls. You are strong, smart, mature. Just like your mother and Skyler used to admire her too…”

Xavier said.

“I don’t know where you are going with this?”

She asked politely.

“I want you to give this relationship a fair chance Rosetta. I want you to initiate. You are the best girl which Skyler can get. I don’t know if he has realised it or not. He might won’t initiate because he doesn’t believe in love because of me and it’s kind of expected. He has suffered because of us. He has witnessed my relationship with Sarah and it wasn’t fairy tale. We all got hurt and little Skyler was innocent victim.”

He released a heavy sigh.

“Why it has such a strong effect on him?”

She asked.

“It’s a long story. He has seen his mother suffering from depression because of me. He is close to his mother, he Loves her because he knows that she is weak and has suffered enough. He blames me for that and i won’t complaint. Because of me he thinks that love is toxic and it only makes people suffer. Love brings nothing but pain. Love control people, it’s demanding… I want you to change his mind. I know you can.”

“I don’t think I can… He cleared this in our first meeting. We both have agreed that we won’t interfere in each other’s life. I think I should respect that..”

Rosetta answered. She herself doesn’t believe in love but couldn’t explain this to Xavier.

“I have seen him looking at you like i look at Sarah and I know that it’s first step of your relationship. It won’t take long for it turn into something beautiful. Only thing is I don’t want you two to run away. Embrace it… You can change each other’s life for better…”

He stated.

Rosetta was totally disagree with him but there was no point in opposing. She doesn’t want to be rude.

“I guess we should leave it to the destiny…”

She said.

Xavier chuckled.

“Of course… Destiny!… It plays very dirty games…”

He remembered his messed up life.

Rosetta cleared her throat. She couldn’t stop herself from asking as his point of view was clearly different from her.

“Can I ask you something if you don’t mind. It’s personal…”

She asked politely.

“Go ahead…”

Xavier looked at her curiously.

“You said you love Mom, I mean your wife… But I think it’s clear obsession. I am sorry if I am being rude but I don’t understand your relationship.”

She asked.

Xavier smiled at her and looked at her in amusement.

“Yes I am obsessed with Sarah… And it’s totally different from love, my child. Love means sacrifice. I might have let Sarah go if I would have loved her but my heart is black. My love is not pure, it’s tainted with obsession and I can’t let her go at any condition… I assume you have witnessed this between your Parents too. Damian is equally crazy as me for Rose… That’s how we are, we are wicked mafia’s and that’s the only way we can love. We can’t sacrifice…”

Rosetta sighed, at least her father hide his true face from her but Xavier is accepting it openly.

“If this is the definition of love for you then I think Skyler is right in his place, we don’t need this toxic obsession in our life…”

Xavier chuckled at her reply.

“You are too pure Rosetta. I respect Damian for this, he has Raised you good… And you are right we are in toxic relationship but we never chose this. It happened. We all are victims….”

He replied while she stared at him blankly. He got up from his seat.

“Don’t forget Skyler is my blood… He has Side which is darker than mine. I myself sometimes fear his anger… If he gets obsessed with you then you can’t find way out of it… Be careful. Before it turns into obsession, convert it into love…”

He patted her head lovingly and walked out.

Rosetta sighed shaking her head. It was getting messy in her head. She couldn’t understand why suddenly her life has turned like this. Why she is dealing with love and obsession kind of topics. She was running away from this her whole life.

She went to their bedroom and freshen up.

She walked out and saw Skyler coming inside. He closed the door and turned around.

He was covered in blood, his white shirt has turned red. His eyes were cold like ice, no emotions can traced. He ignored her and towards the washroom.

Rosetta understood why Skyler doesn’t want love in his life. He was right when he said he can’t deal with girl after his hectic day.

“At least he knows what he want…”

She sighed.

She went to the bed as it was late. Her mind again drifted towards Jackson’s words.

She was confused thinking who helped her. Who stopped Vlad and why. Who is that person?

She looked at skyler as he went to his Side of bed and turned to opposite side not wanting to face her.

Rosetta didn’t said anything either but she realised that Skyler has two sides. He talks to her when he is in normal mood. He even cracks jokes but he has other side when he is angry and that time he doesn’t even look at her.

She closed her eyes while turning off the lamp.

“What you were talking to my father?”

He eyes snapped opened when he questioned her that.
