Chapter 13
Evie blinked her big eyes and asked, “Ms. Clark, do I also have a chance?”
“Of course!” Rhonda smiled gently.
In Rhonda’s opinion, Evie looked like a doll, and she was the most likely to be chosen in Dolphin Class.
“Great!” Evie’s face lit up with anticipation.
The children waited for a long time. Around ten o’clock in the morning, Mabel led a tall woman into Dolphin Class.
“Children, sit down!” Rhonda clapped her hands when she saw Mabel coming in.
Everyone looked at the woman standing next to Mabel.
“She’s so beautiful!”
Evie clenched her hands tightly, anger appearing on her face.
Eddy also squinted his eyes when he saw that woman.
The person who came to select child actors was actually Lamia!
Eddy glanced at Julian, who was still focused on his iPad, typing rapidly. Eddy touched his chin, showing a pensive expression.
He thought, “Lamia, since you’ve come for us on your own accord this time, we’re going to make sure you regret it!”
Lamia had originally intended to choose child actors from Madie Kindergarten, but unfortunately, due to the scandal that broke out last night, she had to resort to other options.
While selecting child actors, Lamia also intended to promote her kind image and prepared to be a volunteer here for a day.
But when Lamia’s gaze fell upon Evie’s face, her smile vanished instantly.
Lamia wondered why Evie was there.
Evie’s heart pounded as she was met with Lamia’s cold and impatient gaze.
“Ms. White?” Mabel called softly with concern.
Lamia snapped out of her shock and quickly replaced her expression with a gentle smile.
“Hello, children!” Lamia said, motioning for her assistant, Eva Hall, who was live streaming, to distribute the candies she had prepared for the children.
Evie threw the candy she received on the floor.
“Evie, why did you throw the candy on the floor?” Edith Wright, boy from the kindergarten, asked, revealing his gap- Loothed smile as he spoke.
“This woman is an old witch!”
As Lamia heard Evie’s words, she was pissed off.
Lamia clenched her fingers and struggled to maintain a gentle smile as she walked slowly towards Evie and picked up the candy.Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
“Little girl, didn’t I already apologize to you before? Why are you so resentful? Holding grudges isn’t good, you know!” Lamia scolded.
Evie pouted and remained silent.
Julian stood up and stared at Lamia with an icy gaze.
That look was as cold as the freezing winter, making Lamia shiver involuntarily.
Lamia couldn’t help but wonder who this child was.
She thought, “Why did he look so much like Anson?
Thinking of this, Lamia asked, “What’s your name, boy?”
She thought, “This girl looked so much like Elaine, and this boy was a carbon copy of Anson. Could it be…
A thought suddenly popped into Lamia’s mind, draining the color from her exquisitely made–up face.
“Miss.”
A pleasant voice came from behind. Lamia abruptly turned around and was shocked once again.
Lamia was totally confused.
In front of her stood another boy who looked like Anson!
Rhonda felt that the atmosphere was starting to become strange and approached with a smile. She explained, “Ms. White, they’re triplets.”
Lamia thought, Triplets?!”
Each revelation was shocking, leaving Lamia stunned and her mind buzzing incessantly.
“May I ask who their mom is?”
“What does it have to do with you who our mom is?” Julian asked sternly.
Eva, who was still doing the live stream, raised an eyebrow in astonishment.
Someone watching the live stream had already started posting a barrage of comments, guessing how Lamia had offended those three lovely children.
Eva hurriedly moderated the comments and asked Lamia if she wanted to end the live stream.
Lamia took several deep breaths and finally squeezed out a sentence from between her teeth, “Evie accidentally knocked my cake onto the ground when we were at Cameron Group before. She’s just a child, and children always have some mischievous tendencies”
Some die–hard fans of Lamia began defending her again.
[I think these kids are spoiled by their parents. They might look good, but their expressions are like stiff masks. Lamia is beautiful and kind–hearted. Lamia, don’t stoop to their level.]
A cold and threatening aura emanated from Julian, rapidly permeating the classroom.
He took out his iPad and quickly made some changes. The comments on the live stream were immediately disabled.
“Why did you disable the comments? Lamia asked Eva with a frown.
Eva was also confused. “Lamia, I didn’t do anything!”
Lamia clenched her fingers and pondered for a moment before smiling and saying to everyone in the live stream, “Live stream paused.” Then she hurriedly ended the live stream.
She decided she would ask Mabel about who the mother of these three children was after they finished the child actor selection.
Lamia thought that if Elaine hadn’t died five years ago, she absolutely couldn’t allow Elaine to steal her happiness now! Mabel smiled wryly and said, “Ms. White, let’s select the child actor first.”
“Okay!” Lamia smiled and asked, “Kids, do you know what I do?
Some children shook their heads, while others nodded.
Lamia’s spirits lifted, and she felt the tension caused by Julian, Eddy, and Evie temporarily melted away.
“Yes, I am a pianist. I will be holding a solo concert this Saturday, and I need a cute little actor to play the role of a little angel descending from heaven.”
Edith let out a “Wow!” of admiration.
Edith said with anticipation, “I really want to be the little angel!”
Evie sneered, “Aren’t you afraid the old witch will eat you?”
Lamia gritted her teeth.
She cursed in her heart, ‘Damn little bratf
Edith’s face turned pale as he asked, “She’s so beautiful. She can’t be an old witch, right?”
“The stepmother in Snow White is also beautiful, but she still gave Snow White a poisoned apple!*
Edith said in fear, “That’s scary!”
Lamia bit her lip and tightly clenched her fist.
Td rather skip being a little angel than risk being eaten by an old witch!” After saying that, Edith hid under his seat.
Although Lamia was about to explode with anger, she knew she couldn’t have another argument with Evie in public. She could only take deep breaths to suppress the rage in her chest.
“Now, who wants to come up and twirl? I’ll give a candy gift box as a reward to the one who does the best!” Lamia tried her best to maintain a smile on her face.
Rhonda invited a few confident children with a dance background to come onstage.
However, Lamia wasn’t very satisfied with

At this moment, Eddy raised his hand and said, “Ms. Clark, can I try?”
Rhonda smiled brightly and said, “Of course!”
Lamia’s heartbeat raced uncontrollably, and uneasiness washed over her once ag again.
Just as she was about to refuse, Eddy had already stepped onto the stage.
Before stepping onstage. Eddy gave Julian a quick glance, and Julian responded with a subtle nod.
“Ms. Clark, I’m going to start my performance!”
After saying that, Eddy started spinning around, and he kept getting closer to Lamia.
Lamia remained on guard the whole time, and when Eddy approached her, she instinctively reached out and pushed him. away.
“A thud care!”
