Salute To The General

Chapter 3104

Chapter 3104

Everyone's eyes widened while their jaws dropped as they gaped at Nathan and his entourage, who had appeared out of the blue.

Verily, they were torn between jumping for joy and hanging their heads in embarrassment.

The reality was ironic between words.

As members of the Eight-Nation Alliance, they had gathered that day to discuss going up against Eurasia and Nathan.

Unexpectedly, when they plunged into danger, on the brink of being sabotaged and turned into bondslaves by Max, it was the man himself who came to save them.

For a moment, a flurry of complex emotions flashed across their faces.

Shame, guilt, and gratitude blended together.

When Max saw Nathan, he was shocked beyond words.

But soon, he calmed down.

Eyeing the latter through narrowed eyes, he said with a smirk, "Haha, I originally planned to toy with you slowly, but you surprisingly offered yourself up on a silver platter. Since you're eager to die, don't blame me for granting you your wish."

After saying that, he ordered evenly, "Gods of Warrior of the Seven Continents, report."

"At your service!" seven burly Gods of Warrior with varying appearances exclaimed simultaneously.

At the same time, they all took a step forward.

Although there were merely seven of them, they gave others the illusion of a legion, radiating an overwhelming sense of oppression. Sensing the intense pressure, Hepburn started having difficulty breathing. On top of that, her exquisite face instantly turned deathly pale. Colin, Daveth, and Betty furtively went on guard, prepared to battle anytime.

Similarly, the bishops and Holy Knights tensed up as though confronting a formidable enemy.

Catherine and the others darted their eyes all around. They surreptitiously backed themselves into a corner of the room, having no desire to be caught in the crossfire. All the while, they wished that they could make themselves invisible so that no one would notice them.

Nathan was the only person there who was still as calm as ever, his expression unchanged.

"You're nothing more than a loser,

Max. Your plan today has failed, and all struggles will only be in vain. If you're willing to surrender, I may consider granting you a quick death," he offered mildly.

That incensed Max so greatly that he let out a bark of laughter. "Have you never heard that the last person standing is the champion, Nathan It's still uncertain which of us is going to win in the end! Recently, I've gone to painstaking efforts to build the Apollyon Corps and Gods of Warrior of the Seven Continents. I'll try them on the lot of you to start. Your deaths await!"

"Understood!" the Gods of Warrior of the Seven Continents and the hundreds of Apollyon Corps warriors answered boomingly in concert.

On the heels of that, they attacked together.

Although Hepburn, the Holy Maiden, was exceedingly apprehensive right then, she didn't back down in the slightest. She whipped out a quaint pistol.

It was none other than Dictum, the creation of a renowned figure in the Curia that was used specially against the dark clans.

Lifting her hand, she fired a shot without delay.

A bullet made of mithril whizzed out of the barrel and hit an Apollyon warrior between the eyes.

The bullet lodged in the man's bone and was initially nonfatal, but in the next second, thick smoke billowed from the spot where the bullet struck. Ultimately, a large hole formed due to corrosion.

Howling in agony, the Apollyon warrior collapsed to the ground and ceased breathing shortly after.

Alongside Hepburn's gunshot, the two War Gods of the Light-Daveth and Betty-led the bishops and Holy Knights forward to meet the enemy head-

on.

As both sides engaged in close combat, a fierce battle promptly broke out.

Colin flipped open a black suitcase

and assembled a sniper rifle at lightning speed. Then, he loaded it with mithril bullets given by the Curia before raising it and aiming at an

Apollyon warrior charging at him.

Bang!

A gunshot rang out, and the Apollyon warrior fell to the ground.

Both parties present plunged into sheer chaos.

Throughout it all, Catherine and the others cowered in the corner, quaking in their boots.

Nathan and Max, on the other hand, were in no hurry to make their moves. They merely eyeballed each other from a distance, everyone else blurring into the backdrop.
