Salute To The General

Chapter 2677

Chapter 2677

At the Holmes residence, Erwin sat limply in his chair while his two sons were doing no better, looking as if it was the end of the world. There was fear on their faces and hopelessness in their eyes.

Outside their home, a nanny was rushing past with both hands cradling her tummy.

When she passed the door, she tripped and stumbled. Immediately, several jade bracelets and a bag of gold necklaces and rings fell out of her clothes onto the ground.

The bracelets shattered, while the gold necklaces, rings, and other gold accessories scattered all over the floor.

Apparently, the servants in the family knew that the Holmes family was going to fall, and everyone took the opportunity to grab anything valuable and run away.

Erwin knew that the entire residence was in an uproar.

Nheless, it was upsetting for him to see a nanny stealing valuables from his home.

Witnessing this scene, Carrey and Hamish were particularly angry.

Furious, Carrey brought out a gun, yelling, "Bit*h, our family is in trouble, but we are still alive. How dare you just take our belongings as if we are all already dead!"

As he spoke, he raised his gun and pointed it at the nanny.

Zelda, the nanny, screamed in fright and kneeled on the floor, pleading for her life. "Mr. Carrey, Mr. Erwin, please spare my life! I just saw everyone taking valuables and running away. They say that it's over for the Holmes family, so I got carried away and did the same! Mr. Carrey, I beg you. For the sake of my many years of service to your family, please spare my life!"

Carrey retorted, "Why should I spare you? You disloyal servant! Go to hell!"

With that, he raised his gun and fired at her.

Zelda was killed on the spot.

The moment Zelda's body collapsed in her own pool of blood, a young girl rushed over, screaming. She cradled Zelda in her arms and cried broken- heartedly.

This young girl was none other than Zelda's daughter, Moon.

Moon was also a servant in the Holmes residence. She had never imagined that her mother would be shot to death just for looting like the others. Even if Mother had committed a crime, it was not one deserving of death.

In a rage, she raised her voice. "You people are heartless! I will fight you till death!"Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.

With that, she leaped at them in desperation.

Carrey was caught off guard, and she managed to scratch his face before he realized what was happening. As they struggled together, he was not able to fire his gun due to their proximity.

Bang!

Another shot rang out!

Moon shuddered. She had been shot in the back.

She turned around slowly and realized that the one who had fired at her was Hamish, Erwin's second son.

Then she fell limply to the floor, lifeless.

Witnessing this, Erwin shook his

head. "When the leader falls, all the followers will disperse. If they want to take some valuables, let them have what they want. Why kill them?"

Carrey replied bitterly, "Dad, if we spare these ungrateful rogues, will Nathan and his men spare us? There is no escape for us. I will kill whoever annoys me!"

At this exact moment, the sound of military boots stepping on the ground outside rang out, and two teams of soldiers with live ammunition marched in side by side.

Seeing this, Carrey, Hamish, and a few bodyguards instinctively raised their guns.

However, these were experienced soldiers whose reaction time was much quicker. Bang! Bang! Bang!

After a burst of gunshots, the bodyguards around Erwin had all collapsed in their own pool of blood.

Both Carrey and Hamish had been shot in the right arm, causing them to drop their guns on the floor.

After Erwin's bodyguards were killed and his sons were disarmed, the soldiers stopped firing.

They lined up on both sides, leaving a path in the center.

Immediately, Nathan walked inside with Colin and the Elite Eight.

Nathan stepped into the middle of the living room and paused there.

He frowned as he looked at the two dead women among the other dead bodies.

A soldier noticed Nathan's

questioning expression and

immediately reported, "Sir, these two

women were shot dead on the floor

before we came in. It wasn't our

Felidae Battalion who shot them." Nathan nodded and looked at Erwin, speaking calmly. "Erwin, we meet again." Content belongs to

Wearing a glum expression, Erwin struggled out of his chair and walked over quickly. In a trembling voice, he said, "Greetings, Chief Military Governor!"

Seeing Erwin being humble and respectful, Nathan was taken by surprise.

He had just handled Will and his

soldiers at the Capital Garrison not

long ago and found them

maintaining their dignity even when

they had been defeated. They did not beg for mercy even in the face of death.

Erwin was a member of the Great Cab and the mastermind of this whole incident.

Yet, when the conspiracy was exposed and foiled, Erwin's attitude was unlike the others, who had accepted death without fear.

He seemed to be trying to please Nathan and appeared willing to beg for mercy.

This led to Nathan looking down on Erwin even more.
