Chapter 2656
Unable to withstand the intense pressure of the unknown, Seamus exploded, "How cruel of the Holmeses to force me to tamper with the President's medication to harm him, and now you're even planning to kill me to silence me!"
Shutting his eyes in despair with streaks of tears flowing down his cheeks, he waited for Colin to pull the trigger.
However, he waited for a while, and nothing happened. He didn't feel any pain nor hear the gun go off.
Bewildered, he slowly opened his eyes to look. Did they decide to have mercy and change their minds against killing me?
He was dumbstruck at the scene in front of him.
Every passenger in the car was looking at him with a mocking gaze.
What... is going on here?
Amidst Seamus' confusion, Colin suddenly removed his mask and revealed himself.Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.
Seamus' eyes widened with shock when he saw Colin's face. "You! You're not from the Holmes family! You're the Captain of the National Guard, Colin Dunne, who works for the Chief Military Governor. Then, that makes you guys—"
Colin patted Seamus' face with the muzzle of the gun and sneered, "You're right. I'm Colin Dunne, and Chief Cross sent me to catch you."
Seamus paled at his admission.
"Then, the soldiers you killed..."
"Those weren't soldiers. They were fakes. I'm guessing they were the assassins the Holmeses sent to silence you."
What?
Seamus' thoughts were a scrambled mess, and his feelings were a confusing mix. His heart lurched when he finally realized he had messed up the identities of the two sides and revealed everything.
Colin informed coldly, "Get out. We've already arrived at the gate of the Headquarters of the Chief Military Governor. I trust that you'll have a lot to explain to the Chief. Remember what you said earlier about the Holmeses forcing you to harm the President? That's a good start."
Cold sweat began dotting Seamus' forehead as he stammered, "I-I was rambling nonsense earlier. Don't take it seriously. Captain Dunne, you don't have to take what I said seriously."
Colin replied stonily, "Explain to the Chief and see if he trusts you."
Seamus felt his body weaken. He slumped against the seat as though all his strength had left his body at the thought of having to face Nathan, who had survived numerous deadly situations.

Colin got out of the vehicle and ordered, "Take him to meet the Chief. Watch out for any suicidal intentions.
I don't want him to kill himself."
Here, he looked at Seamus. “Don't even think about killing yourself. You still have your family. You committing suicide won't solve anything. It'll only make matters worse."
In the office of the Headquarters of the Chief Military Governor, Nathan was on the phone with the Commander-In-Chief of the North Army, Fang.
Sage knocked on the door and came into the room. "Sir? Colin has returned, and he brought Seamus back with him."
Nathan nodded at him, then said to Fang, “Move according to the plan. Report to me whenever you can."
Nathan hung up the phone.
He turned to Sage and ordered calmly, "Have Colin bring Seamus in to see me."
"Yes, Sir."
Soon, Colin and a few members of the Elite Eight escorted Seamus into Nathan's office.
"Get down on your knees!" Colin commanded as he kicked Seamus' knees.
Seamus dropped to his knees with a loud thud in front of Nathan.
Suppressing his pain, he pleaded with a shaky voice, "Chief Cross, please have mercy!"
Nathan sat on his chair and stared down at Seamus, who was kneeling in front of his desk. "Seamus, I heard you were threatened to tamper with the President's medication to harm him. Yet, that wasn't all. You even pinned the blame on Cross Group. If you want to stay alive, you better start telling the truth, and give you
another chance. If you refuse to cooperate, I guarantee that no gods in this world can save you."
