The name suited Muriel perfectly.

Muriel’s name was written with an elegant touch

Lizzie understood better than anyone just how talented Muriel was. “She has always been exceptional.”

At the hospital, Natalie stood outside the ward. After hesitating for a few minutes, she finally knocked and walked in. Inside, Jeremy was busy looking at his phone.

He was likely making some work arrangements with people from his company. When he noticed her entering, he glanced up, quickly hanging up the call and setting his phone aside. “I wanted to explain my relationship with Helena.”

Natalie interjected before Jeremy could explain his relationship with Helena, “Helena is a great person. After your accident, she came to see me. It was clear she was very worried about you.”

Upon hearing her words, Jeremy’s expression darkened. “Are you developing feelings for Austin?”

“My relationship with Mr. Powell isn’t what you think. Honestly, there’s no need for an explanation.” She suddenly felt that it was pointless to clarify anything.

After all, she had been misunderstood so many times in recent days. Even Austin’s mother, Jessica Parker, had handed her a blank check, allowing her to fill in any amount.

As long as she understood her situation, the opinions of others didn’t matter.

Jeremy’s expression grew even colder. “It doesn’t matter whether you like him or not. There will be no future between you two,” he spoke in a low voice.

had failed.

However, because of this, the Powell family would not accept Natalie. If she developed feelings

for him, she would be the one to suffer in the end.

Again, it was that same phrase–there would be no future between them. Jessica had said the same thing to her, but she had never even considered having a relationship with Austin.

“Forget it,” she thought. She hadn’t come to see Jeremy today to start an argument.

There was no need to find a definitive answer. “You seem to be doing well. You should be discharged soon. I have to go now,” she said.

She set down some items she had picked up way on the table.

They were all things Jeremy could eat. She had chosen them according to his tastes. After knowing each other for so many years, they were well aware of each other’s habits.

Jeremy glanced at the items she had set down. Just as Natalie was about to leave, he suddenly asked, “Did Helena say anything to you?”

Natalie’s expression froze for a moment, puzzled by Jeremy’s unexpected question. However,

she didn’t dwell on it.

She said, “Your situation was urgent. She only asked me to come to the hospital and didn’t have time to say much. Did you want her to tell me something?” she asked.

“No.”

Natalie nodded. “Alright, then I’ll be going.”

Jeremy watched her walk away; his brows knitted in thought. He dialed Helena’s number.

When Helena received Jeremy’s call, she was taken aback. “Mr. Hughes?” Her voice held a hint of uncertainty.

“Did you say anything to Natalie?” Jeremy asked directly.

Helena felt her anticipation drain away at the tone of his question. She took a deep breath and replied, “No, I didn’t say anything. Don’t worry, Mr. Hughes. I know exactly what to say and what not to say. I wouldn’t tell Natalie anything she shouldn’t know.”

“Good.” Jeremy ended the call.

Meanwhile, as Helena listened to the dial tone, her expression gradually turned pale. She knew all too well that in Jeremy’s heart, no one compared to Natalie.
